NY - you're right about the heat. My RE told me Bikram was a no-no after IUIs and ETs. I even stopped going to the power yoga classes I was doing in a 90 degree room. For pulse I've heard 140, but 130 is probably safer. If you're in good shape you should be able to get in some moderate cardio at that pulse rate. I think if it helps relieve stress and stays within the guidelines, it's a good thing! I've also been lifting weights throughout with no issues.

Late joiner, but I'm in the same boat as all of you - was working out 6 days a week several hours, ran a marathon in October, etc. I stopped everything before the transfer and now have fat where my muscle was and have gained 10 pounds in addition. We've been trying so long, I just don't want to take any chances.

I did a lot of searching to try to justify return to exercise. Found that exercise is generally highly recommended for a successful pregnancy as long as it's low impact and you keep your heart rate low ... UNLESS you're doing IVF, in which case you're supposed to be pretty sedentary.

Here's my question though: at some point an IVF pregnancy becomes just like any other pregnancy, right? At that time, you should be able to go back to moderate exercise without increased risk. Anyone have any idea when that is?
