wednesday - Welcome and congrats!! I think my only worry with bowling would be if you twisted wrong. But, I think they say to watch for that only later in a pregnancy. I'm sure you're fine! I too have been having cramps and pains off and on. This was also our first IVF and it's my first pregnancy  I went out and got the new version of "What to Expect When You're Expecting" and it's actually explaining alot!

DNT - So did you give DH the book or not? How are you feeling? I ended up not calling my nurse, I think it might have been the lighting at work. The discharge is clear and my book says it's to be expected at this point so I'm not going to worry. I haven't had any pains that have woken me up, but I did have a pretty bad one on my right side last night. I was laying on the couch reading and then got up. When I started walking it was a pretty sharp pain, but as I walked it seemed to work itself out. Weird...but I feel fine today! I'd tend to say it's ok, as long as there's no bleeding, but with your history I would call your RE to make sure.

Natasha - did you call the clinic? will they do another BETA to put your mind at ease?

Happy Valentine's Day ladies!

Any of you experiencing tailbone pain? My tailbone hurts so bad at night when I lay down that it keeps waking me up. I talked to my mom and she said her OB told her that her tailbone was curved different and my mom says her's will start hurting sometimes out of nowhere. But, this has never happened to me! Could this be another symptom of the pregnancy? I haven't fallen, sat down hard, nothing! I'll definitely be asking my CNM, but my appt's not until the 25th.

I'm still feeling odd pains and twinges now and then. I guess it's a good sign of activity, I just wish Friday was closer so I could have the u/s already!

Hi everyone

Post by joannet »

Hi everyone, today I finally found the courage to join. This is my second IVF cycle. We were very lucky the first time, now we have a 3 year old little boy.

Our cryo transfer was on February 3rd and our first beta test came back great at 414 on February 13th. Today we had the wackiest 2nd beta at 1937. We are a little freaked about the jump, but the Dr says it's normal......could not find anything on the internet that says it is or isn't.

So we wait......the first ultrasound is scheduled for February 20th.

We are excited but terrified all at the same time. It was the same the whole time first time around, so experience doesn't help.....

Well we are due on October 22nd if we make it all the way. My first came 3 weeks early....so who knows what the second time around will be like....

I am very happy to find others to share this experience with.....

Hi Everyone,
It seems everyone is doing well. Nope I didn't call my Dr. regarding that pain. That was the only one I got so who knows  But tomorrow is my 7 week u/s & blood. Hopefully I pray every night no more PIO. I can't take it anymore. I am so showing unless I am bloated? I am wearing a big sweater over my clothes. I don't want anyone to know just yet. I want to wait until 12 weeks. Did any of you say anything yet? We did last time & mc so I don't want to go through that again. I know everyone keeps saying well only tell the people who will support you if it happens again. NO THANK YOU :? Believe me its very very hard but DH & I decided to wait.

Well our close friends and family all know. This was our first IVF cycle and we did decide to let our friends know we were doing it. It's actually been a good decision for us because the support has been amazing. I know if lose the pregnancy it will be hard, but I also know I'll have that same support.

I too feel like I'm showing, but it could be bloating. It just doesn't go away!

Yesterday I had a scare, I had some brown spotting that was pretty light. I freaked out and called the clinic. They told me they would rather see brown cause it means it's old. Since I have my u/s in two days, they said to just take it easy and they'd see me then. It stopped by mid-morning, but I'm still so freaked out. I also threw up for the first time yesterday, but only feel quesy today. I just pray everything is ok in there!

I undeerstand the support you get even during a loss i had the support. But after a few losses you get the why is this happening, why cant the dr's do anything.. You have those questions yourself that you know they cant answer so you dont want everyone to keep asking and reminding you of them. So DNT i understand completely

Thanks Mandeekins.

Hi everyone, hope today was a great day for everyone. Well I couldn't wait for my u/s next Friday, so I called the Dr office today and rescheduled for this Friday. I am convincing myself that we can always have another one later if the Dr wants one. We are a bit anxious to find out if we are having 1 munchkin or two or more......

I totally understand not telling anyone early, the first time we didn't say anything to anyone outside the immediate family until the 12 week mark. This time, it's been a bit tougher to keep it under wraps........

DNT: That's GREAT news! Did you ask the RE about the pain or have you just not thought about it? I say go with your instincts about telling people. When you're comfortable and you feel the time is right, then go for it.

joannet: So your u/s is today right? Mine too! I'm very nervous to see how many there are! On another board there was a website posted that tracks BETA numbers. My BETA falls just above the median number for multiples! I really hope I have twins...but one is perfect! Good luck today!

As for me, I'm having pains off and on in my groin (ovary?) area that are bothering me. DH assures me everything is probably fine, but I'm anxious to talk to the RE today and see what's going on.

Will this first u/s be vaginal?

Congrats to everyone here.

I just wanted to crash because I saw you were talking about giving books to the dad's to be. I just wanted to give a reccomendation.

When I was pregnant, dh wanted a book, a good one, that was informative rather than, ha ha your wife is pregnant book. Believe it or not, alot of the books for new dads are written in joke format. So we researched and found a good one.

It is called, "Be prepared: A Practical Handbook For New Dads." There are other good ones too, but this one reviewed really well and we liked it.

Here is the amazon link: Copy and paste.

Hi everyone, hope everyone had a great day, today was a scary and exciting day combined.

Mandeekins, I hope your u/s went well....I am glad you are comfortable with twins, just in case.

Well today there were two sacks. So if all goes as my Dr expects, we will end up with twins. I am not quite sure how to digest going from a one kid family to three, but I guess time all will be well.

Does anyone have stange tingling in there legs. My right leg feels like it is tingling from the inside out, my husband thinks it's nerve damage from the prgesterone shots, not sure, forgot to ask the Dr about it today, couldn't get over two sacks..... everything just kinda went out of my brain.

So it was too soon for the Dr to measure anything today so we go back in two weeks on the 5th of March for another u/s.
