hello ladies, I hope it's not too late for me to join this group. Karen, OMG! Please accept my condolences! I totally agree with you. We have to move forward so that we can have bundle of joy! Rio! good to see you here! And Lou! beautiful pictures! And Hi to Jessica, SDtrying, Bichonmom, jencas75,
jenmink55, and Leorira11!

This is going to be my 3rd DE IVF cycle in November. My first one was BFN and my second one was m/c. I just switch to a new RE just last week which is closer to where we live. I'll have a hysteroscopy done this week. DH also had a SCSA done last week. We'll wait for all the results back before forward the medical record of our chosen donor for approval. My m/c was 6/24 but my donor just had an ER in mid September. RE said that we'll have to wait at least November to cycle.

FYI, DH just had his 58th birthday and I'm now 44 and going to be 45. Our issues are male factor, high FSH, and diminished ovarian reserve.

Thank you Rio for the chart!

YES - November IS the month!! I feel very positive about it too!

SDtrying - good luck with the conception kit - that would be FABULOUS if it worked for you! For me it was always torture when AF would show up each month - even after I had my successful IVF and daughter in 2006. I finally got a natural BFP in June of 2008 only to discover it was ectopic. Since 06 I have had both tubes removed and it has definitely taken away the monthly stress which has been nice. I know IVF is the only way for me and I am ok with that. Plus I don't have to worry about my hydrosalpinges coming back like they did during my first IVF... THAT was stressful!!

Annashope I know how you feel about everyone around you getting pg - I have a HUGE family and a lot of coworkers and it seems like someone is always knocked up...lol. It doesn't bother me nearly as bad as it used to when I first got my diagnosis 6 years ago but I do get a little jealous.

So have you ladies heard about the "dreaming of fish" thing? I was reading on another website I post on that if you dream of fish it means you will get pregnant? In 35 years I had never heard of such a thing until yesterday. So last night I dreamt of fish...lmao!! I'm sure it was just because of what I read but I will take it as a good omen anyway :)

Hope you are all having a great day!

Hello everyone! I'm not very good at all the lingo or abbrv's but I hope to tag along as like a lot of you, there just isn't a lot of support out there for people in these positions. My family is so against this, and being I'm (old) as they put it, I should be happy with what I have and just move on as they tell me all the time. However, when I started this journey years ago with my 1st husband who passed away after 5 years of marriage...I knew in my heart that life doesn't always go the way you've planned and I believe sometimes a person just needs help and help the plan along . I've remarried and tried several IUI's and a couple IVF's and we lost our baby at 11 weeks. I still believe God has a plan and he's just making me wait for the right time. Well, the time is now, as we only have 2 FE's left and we've saved up enough to try next month. I hope and pray we all have success and that we have the support through this very challenging time. I'm not good with all the lingo anymore since it's been a few years but I know I will be praying for you all too. I believe we've set the date for Nov. 11th and I start the Lup...next month. Take care all!
2 failed IUI's 2004, 2005,
1st IVF 2006, cancelled no blasts...
2nd IVF BFP 2007, miscarried at 11 weeks
2010, final FET coming up, Nov.

Hello!
It´s been a long time since I last wrote! I have just moved to Spain so I´ve had 2 really crazy weeks...... renting a new apt., buying stuff etc and in between taking the pregnancy test last Monday (after a FET in Sep) just to find out it was BFN. So here I am again.

We have alreay been to an ER in Spain and they look pretty professional and all but I feel like if it is starting all over again. In fact they have requested that we repeat most of the test (just so they have their own) and some additional ones.......

So we have decided to relax a bit and we will not do another cycle until November so we are skiping October and tryingto think about something else which is not that easy (everyone around us is pregnant!!!!!!).

How´s everyone else doing?

Hi girls! So glad to see the group growing. It is so hard to wait, isn't it? Seems like forever to get started.
We have male fertility due to chemo and my DH had really bad morphology, motility but I had him taking supplements and his counts went up a ton! Not normal or enough to get pregnant naturally, well if we were young I would say keep trying the old fahsioned way but I am 39 so I don't want to wait. HIs motility is only at 10% even though other numbers are normal range. He has a daughter from before cancer who is 14 and we have a toddler from our first IVF (how lucky and what a blessing) come to find out, i respond poorly to meds. I have FSH of 6.7 and everything is normal, 28 day cycles on the clock but have low AFC. So we never get frosties. We transfered 4 embies and had our son, last IVF we transfered 3 and had an ectopic which was a horrible beta limbo but now I am ready to go! GOt a histeroscopy, hidrosalpingogram and everything looks good. My antral follies were 7 so not great but not awful. I am looking forward to going through this with you girls and us supporting each other. I also have tons of people preggers around me and it is so hard. We are all out of pocket and my mom is helping a little since she does not have much money. My in laws are loaded and we asked for help after paying for 2 IVFs out of pocket but they said nope, so they bought two new cars, a trip to Italy and a cruise to the mediterranean instead. Oh well....

annashope - great to see you here! this is very stressful and I can't help to throw a pity party for myself sometimes! Why me? Why us? This is so hard and not to mention $$$ We will get our BFP!

amaut - oh Spain - how lucky! So gorgeous there I would love to go visit Spain one day!

myizzy - so sorry your family isn't supportive of you, that makes it so hard. Also so sorry to hear about your first husband, how tragic, big hugs. So glad you found another wonderful DH. Don't worry about what other people say better to have old parents who are great and want you then young parents who didn't even want a baby!

Lisa sorry about your ectopic hun - now I need to dream of fish!!!

dodo - my dad was 58 whne I was born - lucky age! 3rd one is the charm right?

SDtrying - canceling your FET for a natural conception would be amazing!!!

I don't know if this will work but this is an online calendar so that we can each update the calendar with our dates and status:

http://www.brownbearsw.com/freecal/NovI ... 2010-09-01

If this works it should be an easy way to keep track of all upcoming events for us!

Hello and Welcome everyone! So glad to see all of you ladies on this board! I have been traveling on business so I have not been able to check the message board.

riogirl- Yes, I had to to take methotrexate. I did not have any side effect from it.

Karen- My heart goes out to you! I am so sorry for your loss! Broke my heart to read your post!

Bichonmom- We should cycle pretty close together! I start Lupron on 10/7. I first started taking the shots in March of this year and thought that would be the hardest part of cycle. Little did I know the emotional is what is the hardest (for me). So this time around the shots do not seem like that big of deal. Still afraid of another BFN. Not sure if my heart can take another one.

So excited to see everyone's post and praying this time will work out for all of us! I know we all deserve it!

Jessica - I also thought the shots would be the worst part of IVF before I started. But now I've learned that nothing they do to me physically could be worse than the emotional rollercoaster!

Daily molestations by the dildo cam? fine! 4 injections per day? fine! daily blood draws from my tiny veins leading to track marks in my arm? fine! overnight hospital stays? fine! ---- just let me know if it worked or not already! :)

It's amazing how I've learned that I will do ANYTHING to have a baby. I never realized I wanted children so badly until we started our infertility treatments...

(I've had HG with both of my pregnancies.... I know that getting pregnant is a nightmare for me - but I'm still trying!)

leorira- I feel the same way. I didn't realize I wanted a child so badly until I thought the first try really worked and I started bleeding really heavy before my beta and I knew it was over. That was probably the worst for me. We have been trying non stop since. I truly hope this time works out! Everyone says oh you are still young (we are about the same age) you have plenty of time. Fertility does not get any better the older you get so I feel like actually no I don't and we are ready to be parents now!

wow, riogirl, you are really gonna keep us organized! I love it! I went on the site and posted my tentative dates. I feel all nervous like before the first day of school. I'm expecting AF tomorrow and really excited to get started.

I gave in to a evil pee stick since we'd tried the conception kit (of course BFN) ugh, oh well, it didn't hurt to try...always tryin'

Oh also wanted to comment to leorira11-- you are hilarious. I'm not sure whether to hate you or love you for that image, i will never look at the ultrasound probe the same again, when I go in for my trial transfer, I'll be lucky if i don't start cracking up. that would really freak out my new RE, I'm sure. LOL!

Morning ladies!

Leorira11 - I am also lmao at the dildo cam comment!! Good one! I couldn't agree more that the physical stuff we endure is nothing compared to the emotional/mental strain. Hope your beta drops so you can get going with your FET.

Hi MYIZZY - i start lupron next month too. Next week, actually. Welcome!

Hello Amaut - sorry about the BFN. Sounds like you have a lot going on with the big move and everything. Hope things smooth out and you settle in fine :)

riogirl71 - I am out of pocket with all of this too. We refinanced our mortgage and got a home equity line of credit to pay for it. My parents offered to lend me money but I am too stubborn to accept it when I have other means, however it is wonderful knowing I have that safety net if i need it. Sorry about your selfish In-laws...geesh!

Jessica it looks like we will be cycling close together - I start lupron 10/6. Hope we can help keep each other sane

SDtrying so sorry about the bfn hun. I know how it is,,, always hoping. I know you are expecting AF today so you can get going on your cycle so I'll do an AF dance for ya

Sorry if I overlooked anyone. Wow there are a lot of us here but I say the more the merrier! It's great to have such a great support system.

I had my protocol review and injection refresher course yesterday. Very glad i opted to go to that because there was a lot i had forgotten. My protocol is very similar to 4.5 years ago except he is stimming me longer hoping to get more eggs. My first cycle they got 13 eggs, 7 fertilized but only 2 made it to transfer day. They were both put back and I had my daughter (i had vanishing twin at 6.5 weeks) but i had nothing to freeze. She said this time they are hoping for some frosties :)

I know I am already a mom and am sooo blessed that IVF worked for me the first time. When my DH and i decided to do this again i was very relaxed about it because i already have DD so I was kinda figuring we will do this, if it works again it was meant to be and, if not, it wasn't. We decided to just pay for one cycle and call it quits after that. HOWEVER, now that everything is underway I find myself really really wanting another child. I know... DUH,, right? I guess what i am saying is i didn't want to get too hopeful - wanted to keep my guard up because what are the odds it will work for me 2 times in a row? Now the guard is down... my emotions are up... here we go rollercoaster!!
