fiveadden: Welcome! Most certainly willing to share and support! What is your situation, age, story?

My siggie pretty much says it, but after 3 very deflating IVF attempts, our insurance is exhausted so we are turning to IUI. Despite my "advanced age" (I so hate that) and only one tube, I am hopeful regarding my chances with IUI with injectibles. I respond well and have gotten several good follies, and good E2 levels. I am also using acupuncture through my cycles.

I am currently going NUTS in the 2ww...started POASing every day now.

Happy Thanksgiving! And again, welcome!

NWQUIZ: So exciting that you will be starting! Right in time to get your BFP before the holiday! :-) I am really happy for you.

AFM: Still nothing. Thanks for reminding me that I might get a surprise on Thursday, but I am not counting on it. I am going to try to see if I can convince my doc to be more aggressive with the stims this next go-round because it will probably be our last. Maybe we won't be needing it, but I am trying to plan for the next cycle to distract me from my disappointment with this one. :-( Sigh.

well if you make good eggs that is good. i know my doc told me if this does not work we might add menopur. coz i usually just use gonal and ganirelix during the cycle. But she says they get good results by adding menopur. not sure about that. i do 150iu daily. what is your protocol?

I just have been doing 150 Gonal-F. But because I just got another Image :( I will be asking to add something else, or a higher dose. I really want this to work...why is this so darn hard?

Have you started stimming? Are you going to be using Menopur this time? How much and when? I am curious, because I want to ask my doc to change some things.

nwquiz: If you don't mind my asking...how old are you? The reason I ask is because you mentioned something on the Winter thread about being worried about being cancelled with too many follies? For me--that isn't a possibility because I am so "old" only a few of my follies are any good out of a bunch. That is why I begged to add Menopur this cycle (even though it is so expensive, I am glad that I did).

I really hope this cycle works for you!!!! I will be looking to see what your sns report is on Monday. Take it easy!!!! This is going to be it for both of us, my NC-buddy...I just know it! :D :D

margi thanks for checking in. am only 35 but after the that lady had all those ivf babies my clinic came up with some stickt guidelie and changes how many ebroys etc they can transfer. they do not consider age which kinda sucks. i know things are not looking good on my side coz on one ovary i had like 15 and they could not find my left ovary. so monday i go in. not just doing the gonal and ganirelix. not that they are any cheaper. if i truelly had insurance i would do it instead of wasting time and money and being stressed coz really i pay for all meds and ultrasound etc out of pocket. ill update you on monday.
hahaa poa addict. i hear you am the same way. did you know everything is a dollar store has sensitive sticks as well? i found out they are more sensitive than tose at riteaid.

I am praying that all will look good for you tomorrow. They really should take age into account. I found this article that says once you hit 35 having extra follies doesn't lead to higher rate of multiples, just better pregnancy rate. I am really hoping that is the case with me.

So, if you have too many they will cancel you?! Can you argue it? You have too much invested to get cancelled, that is ridiculous.

And, yea, I have gotten some sticks from the dollar store, but I also bought some Wondfos off Amazon. They are supposed to be good to 10. I got 20 for less than $6!! We have amazon prime so we don't have to pay for 2 day shipping so that is a good deal.

I will start POASing tomorrow to see if my trigger is still there. I was kinda taking today off the Winter Thread because of the drama. I hope you realize I really wasn't trying to cause any. I really was being very nice in my PM but then things kinda exploded.

Anyway--wishing you a great report in the morning. I want you to have your IUI this week and join me in the crazy 2ww!!! :P

margi- know i really do understand where you are coming from. And i felt the same way you dint. to be honest she should have kept that to herself esp knowing what was going on on the board and what this ladies are struggling. DOnt let that one person crush you coz there are always some ppl out there that try to pull others down,.
ANyway my sns today did not look any different. the doc thinks she saw the left ovary but i think it was the same right one. I even questioned her about it and i could tell she did not take it politely. anyway i asked for a different doc who never failed to find my ovary but he was busy. anyway i have atleast 3 good follies at 19,18,17 and 15 which she says may have a viable egg and the small one. so i trigget today a nd iui on wed. Just keeping my fingers crossed. oh and she did not do any blood work. i asked her on saturday for blood work she said no. today the same thing so i dont know what my estrogen is at.
oh well i will remain positive.
Margi-yes from reading different posts i see having many follies does not always account to as many viable eggs. so you are right. oh no i refuse to be cancelled. i had made up my mind on that one after spending all this money, if anything i wished to have sued them so i have a free cycle coz one doc said they had been doing intracervical instead of iui before they opened my cervix.
Margi-the sticks are calling you now????? ( i dont know how to do the flickers thing)

Thanks for the kind words...I really was just trying to get that woman to understand where others were coming from and to be more sensitive. I didn't attack her personally in any way. Anyway, I will let that go now.

Congratulations on triggering! You are going to be PUPO in just a few days!! And, do they encourage you to BD before and after? They really encouraged us to do that--but I worried that lowered his count on the day of IUI. I guess it is just good to have as many sperm there as possible. lol.

What?!?! No blood levels?!?! I thought my clinic was bad--but that is ridiculous! I am sorry...it would be nice to know what your E2 is.

BUT--you do have good follie count, so I will pray that you have a viable egg (or two  ) in there. Even if that nurse couldn't find your ovary, your body knows where it is and the eggs will still drop down. Maybe there are a bunch in there!?!? How do you feel? Do you feel any pressure or pain in your ovaries?

I hope that the IUI goes well--I know you have had issues with your cervix. Did they explain that they were doing intracervical instead of IUI at the time?

And yes, the sticks have won. I got a BFN this morning which is great--means trigger is out of my system already!! Now I will be testing non-stop
