This Mother's Day was actually tough for me. J is a firefighter and they had a special dinner at the station Sunday. Originally I didn't want to go. I ended up going so that I could spend some time with J while he was working. When dinner was ready one of the guys said "Okay Moms first." I didn't change the look on my face or anything but he looked at me and said, "Well..all wives first!" He didn't mean it in a bad way or anything. I"m sure he felt bad for saying Moms and then seeing me knowing I'm not a Mom. I just hope next year that I'll be in the "Mom" category. :)

Wndrgrl- I'm sorry to hear about your experience. I can say that the mother's day when I broke down did turn into the last one where I wasn't in the mom categorie! You have to give him a little credit for even realizing he had said something that could be hurtful, a lot of people don't have a clue when they make comments like that.

dodo- glad to hear I am not the only one!

Oh Brit I totally didn't take him at fault or anything for saying anything. He didn't know and it was easily something that anyone could say.

I sure do hope this is the last childless Mother's Day.

Oh I know, I wasn't meaning that :). Just saying a lot of people wouldn't even realize that they had said anything. Good luck with your next cycle!
