.....am I'm even later than Tracey! Sorry. I hope we are not this crap when are twins arrive!
I am thrilled to hear your news and am glad the C-S was ok (apart from afterwards!) You have made me think that its not such a bad thing after all....no puffing, no pain, no panting - sounds like my sort of birth!
I can't believe you found time in the middle of the night to post messages on the board - good girl!!!
I hope you and Daniel William (and dh) have lots of happy times together.
Dear Alison - I've been looking out for your news. So thrilled to hear about Daniel's safe but dramatic arrival! With love and best wishes to the three of you for your new life as a family,
I'm sorry to hear about the rough time you had, but your miracle is here now and I just want to say CONGRATS to you. I know what its like aboutnot being able to get online much, today is the firstchance I have had in ages also but I am just so happy for you.
Alison and family, congratulations, its the most wonderful feeling in the world, even after a c section.
I had the same troubles with Benjamin not feeding (I also had an emergency c section) and was advised to top up with formula as he was losing too much weight, but instead I expressed all my milk (an electric pump is essential) and just made sure he got the right amount that way, which worked, then eventually (after about 3 mths) we were back fully onto breast except for when dad wanted to feed him or when we were going somewhere it would be awkward to feed him (bottles really are easier !!) So he was still getting breast milk and we had no problems at all with this ' nipple confusion' they go on about when mix feeding. So don't despair and keep at it - it does get easier (eventually)
Congratulations and make sure everyones looking after YOU and not offering to take baby Daniel instead - get them to do the cleaning and shopping.
loads of love wendy, chris and benjamin xxxx
