There's no one right answer although many people feel more comfortable and positive by trying to take it easy. I did try to do less than usual and didn't work until Day 4 this time. Most people have seen I did a little snow shovelling a few times I had to carry my toddler up+down stairs, in+out of bathtubs and the carseat. I did some housework but nothing OTT but I certainly didn't stop everything and felt better for it.

Not sure Susie ... Zita West says "no hot baths" ... so this could be the heat thing, as likewise she says no hot water bottles after ET. When I asked my nurse though, the only reason she could think of was a possible infection. She reckoned it would be okay, but minus the bubblebath.

I have heard all kinds of advice as far as what to do and not to do. So, I called my doctor, who I absolutely love, and asked her what the real deal was. She said the main thing is to not get yourself over-stressed or over-heated.
I was on strict bedrest for 24 hours and then just took it easy for the rest of the week. Like many of us taking two weeks off was not an option. So, I went to work, but did no lifting, minimal walking and my boss was kind enough to allow me to leave early some afternoons so that I could go home and rest. The second week, I was told I could walk my dog. We were also told we could have sex, but we haven't...just afraid to risk anything. Still, no heavy liftying - my doctor told me it could pull the blood flow to your muscles and away from your uterus, where it is needed.
They also told me not to blame myself if it didn't work. I think that is the most important. As long as we are taking it easy...it is out of our hands.
