Hi Ladies

I love a gossip.

Alex Kingston from ER had natural ivf, there was an article about it in one of these health mags.

Emma Thompson, I think, and I think she tried again to have another baby but it didn't work.

Ben Eltons book is called inconceivable and is one of the best books I have ever read, its like a diary part from the female point of view and part from the male.

I was watching 'loose women' on tv the last time I was off with my treatment and 'Cilla from Coronation St was on and she had her daughter after the 5th attempt.

Good on famous people to come out and say how hard it is, the more about it that is in the media the easier it is for others to understand a bit better.

Wow

It is amazing and comforting that so many celebs have had to go down the IVF road as well and have managed to keep on going after countless attempts. I will say however that some of us non celebs have to give up not because of the stress of it all but because of the cost. Celebs on the other hand are so bloody overpaid that the financial side of it isn't actually an issue and they will keep on going getting top clinics and care - call me cynical I don't care but I believe it's true. I know it's not always the money issue as some of us can cope with more tmt's than others but money does make it easier.

I really feel for people like Anthea Turner who have had many, many attempts and not been sucessful - everyone deserves it but it just goes to show that no matter who you are and how much money you have the finger of fate will point at you!

I'm glad I'm not a celeb though as I would hate to have my infertility story emblazend over the tabloids.

Great by the way thread Nicola :D

Hiya,
Just thought i'd do a bit of digging on the net to see if i could come up with any more celebrities and found this article about actress Connie Hyde from The Bill.
Here's a link to it, it makes quite a good read

http://www.guardian.co.uk/health/story/ ... 29,00.html

I'll do some more digging and see if i can come up with more.
Take care and talk to you all soon,
Lotsa love

Michelle

Hey, I like this thread alot!
Thought I'd add that Courtney Cox, while I don't think she had IVF, had some condition where she could get pg easily but miscarried all the time - I read that (apparently) she had 10 or 12 miscarriages before finally giving birth to her child just recently - at 40+.

Just thought I would add another to the list.........Anna Friel was pictured quite recently leaving a Harley St clinic after receiving a +ve........not sure if it was IVF or not!!

Nicola....I was just this second reading about the name and it's spelled Cruz apparently and locally at least, pronounced 'Crooth'........one of the all time mean names to give a kid I think (yes it's Spanish but it's also feminine - so why give it to a boy?).

Poor child.

Strange!!
I think that Posh was wishing for a girl, that's why! She's already got 2 boys, and this third she was hoping for a GIRL. Thats why we already knew the sex months ago. Was it premature? as I thought she was due in march?

Cruz!!! MMMMMM!!
