Hi girls,
Thanks so much for all your kind replies. This place and you girls are all amazing, no matter what you are going through you always have a kind word to say to everyone.

I've just not long got off the phone to the clinic, only took about 45mins for the engaged tone to stop. The results are - out of my 22 eggs 20 were good enough for ICSI and were injected and out of those we had 13 fertilize.

I'm starting to come to terms with the postponement and see the positives, in a way it's good because Michael had to leave first thing this morning for another 2 day course so he would have missed the e/t and the way i'm feeling this morning i don't think it would have been a good idea to go through with e/t, i'm sore and bloated and not feeling quite right, so it's another day of taking it easy, drinking loads and running to the loo every 5 mins lol. So yes, you are all right, it is for the best to let my body get back to normal.

Nicola - yes this is our first treatment.
Tracii - you're right about giving me more time to cut out the cigs totally, i've been really good lately, cut right down to only a couple a day ... well, that was until yesterday, found out about the freeze all and then started chain smoking, so basically i'm right back to square one.

Hi Michelle,

Not sure if we've spoken before, but just wanted to say Congratulations on all those eggs and now embryo's, I know you're probably feeling a little disappointed and that you wanted to get on with it and get them back where they belong and into the 2ww with you. But im so glad that your doctors are putting your health first.
I had to comment as its a matter close to my heart as i had EC on the 10th Jan (23eggs) and ET on the 12th Jan but unfortunately on the 18th Jan was rushed into hospital with OHSS and was on a drip for 6 days and can honestly say i have never felt so ill, breathing difficultys the works really felt like i was dying, anyway took quite a while to recover but am ok now but was so scared, unfortunately got a neg which isnt surprising the amount of morphine i was on.
Anyway just wanted to say that your health comes first and i hope that your body gets back to normal soon and i wish you all the best for your frosties. Please please please keep drinking lots of water.

when i stopped smoking i got on zyban took it for 14 days then i stopped smoking.. it truly helped me...

i only took the meds for a couple months.

good luck ... smoking is very hard on you!!!

and it is so hard to stop..

Glad ec went well. 22 eggs that's brillant.

Sure you will be glad that you didn't have et in the end. I know that's it disappointing but your body needs time to get back to normal. The time will soon be here for your fet.

Disappointing news but also really good news - what a fantastic result with the embryos. Rest up, take good care of yourself and I look forward to following your progress on the next stage of your journey.

Hi girls,
Sorry i've been offline for a while, been having major pc problems, so it was a total reboot at the weekend and finally got the internet re-installed today.

I was supposed to be back at work on Saturday (had previously booked the Friday off) but late Friday afternoon i phoned the boss and told her what was happening and said there was no way i'd be able to go in on Saturday or Sunday (i only work the 3 days a week), she was brilliant, told me to just take it easy and to sit back and put my feet up.
I'm feeling a lot better today, still a bit bloated and sore but i'm able to move about now without too much discomfort and pain. So i think i should be ok to go back to work on Friday.

I got an appointment card through the post this morning for an FET chat on the 20th May, that's 2 days before my 30th birthday and 1st wedding anniversary, so i'm hoping it will be good news and we can have a triple celebration on the 22nd.

Thanks again for all your advice and support, it means a lot.

Michelle, things always seem better when you have dates don't they. I'm never very good with the 'not knowing'. Hope you and DH have a great celebration on 22nd. Take care of yourself. Glad to hear that your are not back at work until Friday.

not to get ET but 13 frosties is really good - hope you are feeling better - like Maci says it is much better when you have a date something to aim for June is a good month
