I also did dexamethasone with my last stim also. I think it was around 20 mg/day. What were your doses Kelly and KC? Wow, Kelly, your note reads like my life. I've had 4 miscarriages and got pregnant naturally with the first 2. I was also pretty surprised to find my FSH high at 12! AF is still very regular and I ovulate like clockwork!

Hope you're hanging in there Ally with your 2 ww!

oh boy, i don't remember how much dexamethasone i was taking. i can tell you this.....i FORGOT to take it for several days!!! i *thought* i was supposed to take it after EC, not during stimulation. i remember my heart leaping into my throat when i thought i was confirming the start of that med and the nurse said something like "you mean you aren't taking it now?!?!?" she said that it enhances the stimulation, so WHEW that we had enough eggs to move forward.

i would have been sick if i would have been cancelled and thought it was due to my own negligence.

one thing's for sure - IVF is a tricky monster for average person.

stay positive everybody!

Whoa -- I'm looking at my bottle now and I'm on 0.5mg/day. That's a lot lower than yours, Daly.
Daly, I'm the same way -- totally regular (until this cycle when I'm beginning my next IVF round, of course!!) and was shocked when I got all this bad news at once. I thought DH would have the problems since he was born with a herniated testicle (he'd kill me if he knew I told everyone that!) but turns out his sperm count, motility are completely normal. I am happy to not have that issue too. When do you start your next cycle?

Kelly I had to laugh when I read your note. My dh is very personal about his "male parts" as well. It's funny how women will be totally open about having tubes taken out or whatever problem we have with our anatomy and men are sooooo private. God forbid anyone think their parts are anything less than perfect! And don't even get me started on the size their parts must be....I digress. I'm starting my down reg when AF arrives in 2 wks. (We'll see if AF gets stage fright when it matters) Then I should be stimming by late Feb/Mar. I'm seeing a acupuncturist to strengthen my "kidney". This has nothing to do with kidneys we know in America. It's some chinese medicine meridian. I figure it can't hurt and it sure helps with tension. BTW, my brain goes seriously numb with my med treatmetn. I think I was on another prednisone than dexamethasone. I'll find out in a few weeks when we order the new windows for our house...oh wait, that's right, for the money I could have used for fabulous new windows I get 8 vials of liquid, some tablets and some needles instead!

Hope everyone is doing great. The weather couldn't be more beautiful down here in So Cal. I keep thinking it must be June!

Daly - I totally agree with you about the male thing. They can be so sensitive. Look at everything we women have to go through, throughout our entire lives!! And, they whine about a little prostate check or sperm sample.
I hope your AF is on time. I tried to really relax about it this time (good things come to those who wait!), but I was getting worried after the first few days when I didn't see any sign of it.
I thought about going to an acupuncturist. One of my former students is in a TCM school right now and is apprenticing with an acupuncturist who specializes in infertility. She offered her services (even though I never said anything to her about our problem). I think there's a six sense about it or something. We just couldn't afford it on top of everything else.
You're lucky that it's nice in So Cal. It's cold here in the Bay area. Yesturday it was cloudy and a bit rainy, but today at least it's sunny, just really cold. Our heater's been on a bunch already today. Did I mention I need new windows, too?!
