Post by Dawnie71 »

Hi all,

Hope it's okay to jump in here. I should ne having my retrieval on Monday the 22nd, so long as Saturdays Dr. visit goes well. this is my 1st time IVF and am also nervous about it working the 1st time.
I have been doing acupuncture for several weeks now in hopes that it will help.

Good luck to you all and hope to see lots of + signs :)

Well, had my transfer MOnday. I ended up with 2 embryo's instead of one. One was an 8-cell and the other was 4-cell. So, I'm hoping I atleast have a chance. I fell better now than after my egg retrieval when the Dr told me I probably didn't have any chances. I test May 25 and 27th!!! I took the week off work and go back Monday. I layed around as much as I could until today. Anyone have problems with their behind killing them from Progesterone shots??? I think the muscle hurt worse just laying around. The shot itself doesn't hurt me much, but several hours later is when the muscle gets really sore!!!!

Well, had my retrieval this past Monday (18 eggs) :D After my call today I was told we still have 11 that are splitting and my transfer will be this Saturday. I will be having 2 transferred and they will tell me at that time how many will be froze.
Very excited about it all and feel pretty confident. I know there is that chance of it not working on thios 1st time, so for the most part I think I am prepared but I think I am more positive than not, so hopefully all goes well.
Wishing everyone the best!

To all you guys on the 2ww. Truly badly deeply sending you as much baby dust as I can muster. Strength and PMA to all of you. Bring on the BFP's. Best of luck girls! Keep up the PMA, and there is every chance ... it only takes one wee little fighter to dig his or her heels in!

In Maori they have a phrase that my lovely DH would say to me when I got scared and all seemed a bit much for me during the journey and that horrible wait ... so to all of you, "Kia Kaha Kia Maia". (Stand strong and be brave!)

that was beautiful.. I will have to start saying that.. I will have to make sure the pronouciatioin is correct though =)
So after a very long and hard week here is where we are.. The ER only produced 2 eggs.. One looked "old" so they did nothing with it.. One little egg (out of 14 follies) so they ended up doing icsi on the one and than we waited from Wednesday till Saturday (on bed rest) On Saturday we went in and the one little fighter kept on fighting.. It was an 8 cell.. I guess that is pretty good for a 3 day.. I know it is a lot to hang our hats on but we only need one right.. I guess I am offically in the 2ww I test June 11th.. Baby dust to all
