NOV 06 IVF girls....

Hi all
Still not sure when i can start. Went to see my doctor today and had a few decisions to make with the biologist. My dad was a haemophiliac and i am a carrier which means that we have 50% chance that any boys will be haemophiliac and girls will be carriers like me. We have decided to have only female eggs transfered which is the same as last time, it lowers our chances but i could not face watching my child suffer like my dad did. We have to work with the biologist and begin treatments when she can have the correct fluids etc sent to her for genetic screening this should only take 2 weeks so we will probably be waiting for my october AF to arrive. will know on monday.

Welcome Kristin... is your DH on any meds for his count??? My Dh also had low count and we put him on some over the counter stuff and his count is not ABOVE normal!!!

How is everyone doing?????

Hi,

I am supposed to be starting my first IVF cycle in Novemeber. I will find out on October 11th for sure as I had to change my RE because my first one was not very attentive. I am so nervous as I feel as though I will never be prepared for this process. I am glade to have found somewhere that I can show my true feelings as no one that I am close to understands what I am about to go through. I see how supportive everyone is of eachother and I really need that as I want to be there for anyone that needs it. Thanks so much and I wish you all a sucessful November!!!

Welcome Kristen and best of luck with your IVF. This is my first IVF and my DH has a low sperm count also. He recently quit smoking and is now taking a multivitamin and zinc. I think it's helped some.

Welcome Fed7281 to the thread! Feel free to vent anytime with us or ask any questions. This site offers lots of support in which we all need in order to get through this IF mess.

Ellie - I hope you get good get news on Monday and are able to get going on this cycle. Let us know what you find out.

Tonia, I feel like time is standing still for me also. I don't understand why they can't just start IVF with CD 1 and do it in one month. I feel like I'm wasting a month that I could be trying to get pg. We get very impatient with this process don't we...

I see some of my Aug/Sept buddies are here too.

I'm doing FET this time. My first IVF was BFN and I have 3 frosties in waiting. I'm looking at a possible transfer date on Oct 30th or Nov 8 or 9. I can't wait!

Hey hopeful-in-LV! Good luck with your frosties, they're waiting to come home mama to get warm and cozy for 9 months!!!

Hi Everyone,

I am not really sure where I belong!!!!!! That sound's daft I know but I was in the October buddies but then my cycle got cancelled till November so then I joined the November buddies but then I was told I had to wait till December!!!!! (confusing I know!!!) but now I have been told that I have to go in on the 18th October for a blood scan and if everything is ok then I can start down regging in October so I could have EC/ET in November!!! So I was kind of hoping that I could hang around here and get to know you all in the hope that they let me go ahead with November!
I have been reading all of your posts and I think some of you are in the same kind of situation so I thought I would Join!
I have been so confused with everything my doctor has been telling me but I think I am OK now so thought I would join you all while I am feeling sane!!!!!
Hoping for lots of BFP's in November!
