I too was diagnosed with a subchronic bleed at 7 weeks. I want to say that it was at least the same size as my GS if not a bit bigger. My nurse did not seem concerned at all--they didn't recommend bedrest or anything like that either. I was very concerned at first and like you I searched the internet and basically most sites said not to worry about it and your body will normally reabsorb the clot or you will slowly bleed it out. As a matter of fact, I graduated to my OB that same day. They told me to have my OB f/u on it during my appt. My OB appt is not till 4/3 but they said that if I experience any bright red spotting or bleeding with cramping, I can call them and go it for an evaulation. So far, thank goodness, no spotting. Are you spotting at all? You're beginning to make me wonder if I should be a bit more worried about it? I'm not even on bedrest--still working...

I am being weaned off my progesterone supp and estradiol until the end of the month. I was told to stop my asprin the day of my 2 us. I wonder why some of you are still on the aspirin?? Makes you wonder why not all REs have the same protocols?

Kikie: Thanks for sharing your story. I'm not spotting/bleeding either. I think it's kind of weird because we know there is a bleed but we're not bleeding. I keep thinking every day I'm going to start spotting, but so far, so good. I hope our bodies just reabsorb it. I think my RE is more concerned & put me on bedrest because I'm on Lovenox, a blood thinner. So if I move around too much or lift anything I could bleed more easily & the bleed could just keep getting bigger. I can't wait until Wednesday when I have another u/s.

Barb: How long were you on bedrest? Have you had an u/s lately to check on it? Is it getting smaller? I am being referred to a perinatologist, but I haven't seen him yet. My RE says I'll need one because I'm pregnant with twins & I have this new bleed. Plus I'm on Lovenox, a blood thinner, for a clotting disorder that I have. So, I guess with all of that, I'm considered high risk. Oh, boy :) She said I'd probably only see him a handful of times just to keep an eye on me. I'm sure you're being referred because you're having triplets. Yeah :)

bdantonio: Thanks for sharing your happy-ending story! That makes me feel better. Did you bleed or just cramp?

Hey! How is everyone doing?

BarbD and shelleyj5 I also have to see a perinatologist, but only because I am carrying twins. The doctor said I will not being seeing them until week 20, which seems so far away. I guess we are lucky in a way, because we will get a lot more ultrasounds. I also have the bleed, but not sure if it is the same exact thing. I have not bled at all, but I do have a clot in my uterus.

I go for my last RE visit tomorrow, and I am excited and nervous. I always get nervous the day before ultrasound for some reason. I do have symptoms, but they are not

Sorry I left out the last part.
I do have symptoms, but they are not severe like some of you. I guess that kind of scares me a bit.

Molly be happy that you have little symptoms. I am having the worst ever, I have to eat every two to three hours and they can't be big meals. I have had to cut out mexican, fast food and everytime I eat I end up throwing up severly. I have even thrown up while taking a shower. It has not been fun.

I do have my first appt this tuesday with the perinatologist, the RE said I can over lap with both Dr's so I am glad that I can finally meet the one Dr.

I am still having the bleed but they said it was a normal part of the implantation process.

Oh, and if I must tell you guys what the Nurse Practicioner asked us on Monday..........She wanted to know if we were going to do a reduction? My DH almost killed her. So far all three babies are growing and they seem to be hanging in there so I am going to let nature and God do there thing. I was so sad she would even think such a thing but I guess that is her job.

How is everyone else feeling?

Hi

Post by joannet »

Hi ladies. Today we had our second OB apt. The twins look great. The heart beats were 162 and 176 bpm. They were both moving around alot. So looks like I will stay with this OB practice. We've switched to the "older" OB and he is great.

I am glad to see that everyone is doing great. The morning sickness has started to become managable. Tons of small meals and no fried foods.....

We were told today that we don't need to see the Perinatologist until the 2nd trimester. So we've moved that apt. back a few weeks. We haven't been given a program to reduce the Progesterone and Estrogen yet. We are getting concerned. Were any of you told to just stop at 12 weeks? I've placed a call into the RE, so we should have some answers soon.

Hoping everyone's having a great week.

joannet- My doctor stopped all my progesterone at 8 weeks, so I am sure you will be fine. I questioned why he did it, and he said it is because twins produce twice as much progesterone. Glad your doctor appointment went well, and the heartbeats sound great.

BarbD- It was pretty insensitive for the nurse practitioner to say that. I know that is their job, but that is a sensitive subject that you have to bring up the right way. Sounds like your babies are doing great.

I went to my last OB appointment yesterday, and it was sad. I got to see my babies again and they were moving around some. They are measuring 9 weeks and 2 days. One heart beat was 173 and the other was 191. I asked the doctor about the 191, and he said it is a bit high, but it will come down. Anyone else heard of a heartbeat that high?

My next appointment is on April 9th, and I want to give my OB one more try before I change.

well for me the RE said if we decided not to reduce the pregnancy then we will stop the progesterone and estrace on the 10th week, which shall be on Monday. Molly that is good for the heartbeats and the measurements. My little ones are measuring (as of monday) 9w 3d, 8w 6d and 8w 3d. The last one is the one that is concerning to them but they say that they all look good and are growing right on track so we shall see. All three were moving around on the u/s as well.

Are you guys going to find out what you are having?

Hello all,

I’ve been reading all your posts, but somehow I’m still a bit scared to embrace the pregnancy 100%. I think I’ll feel much more secure once we pass the 14 week mark, the time we lost my last pregnancy. We still haven’t told many people, which in a way adds some more stress because I just about want to burst, but I’m so skittish about dealing with people if things go wrong.

My last ultrasound was 3/17 w/ perinatologist (due to my history w/ ancephaly). I’m happy to report that everything looked okay – and I’m esp. thrilled that the skull appeared to be correctly formed. What an emotional rollercoaster.

I’ve been told to stop the progesterone and estrogen at 12 weeks, then come in for a blood test to make sure the progesterone is okay. I forgot to ask about the aspirin, so I’ll ask on Sat.

Hoping all of you are feeling well and happy.

Hi Ladies,

It has been a while since I have posted but all is going well. I go to my first OB visit Monday. I have been wondering about the progesterone and when everyone else was going off of it. I read up on the posts and it seems everyone is different. My RE told me to continue taking it thru the 10th week and I would be finished. I was really wanting to stop at the beginning of the 10th week but I can handle one more I guess.

I have been having problems with my back. I am going to a chiropractor today. It almost feels like a pinched nerve or something. Then the other day I was eating and broke a piece of my tooth off and now I'm worried about that bc I think I need a root canal which I just don't think will be safe.

The last u/s that I had the baby looked good. It was measuring 8wks 3dys which was what I was then. I doubt they will do an u/s at the OB's office unless they want to check on my OHSS which is getting better. DH was counting down the other day that it's only 7 more days till we get to see the baby! I had to prepare him that we wouldn't get to see it every time we have an appt. I think we both got a little spoiled.

Barb I am glad to hear you are choosing to keep all of the babies. God will take care of them. I know the Dr's worry but it is a life after all. If it's God's plan for all of them to be here then they will.

siouxsie- I can totally understand how you are a bit scared about embracing your pregnancy. It looks like you and I have the same due date, so 14 weeks is only a couple weeks away. I am sure your pregnancy will be fine and soon you will have a bundle of joy in your arms.

bdantonio- Thanks for the reassurance. Hearing a heartbeat that high is kind of scary. The ultrasound tech said she thinks it is a boy and girl, since the heartbeats were so different.

BarbD- It sounds like you are doing really good. Yeah I am going to find out the sex. I don't have the patience not too. How about you? I thought you and I had pretty much the same due date. Did the doctor change your due date? When will you see the perinatologist? Let us know how that goes.

I am learning greasy food is not my friend, and that is really the only thing that makes me sick. My next OB appointment is not until April 9th, and it seems so far away. I called though, and made sure I am having an ultrasound.

molly i think that heart beat # for boys and girls is a myth. My first dd heart rate was always on the low end and my second dd was always high. Both girls... But i would see her heart rate high and was always asking if it was ok and they would say oh shes prolly just excited or just got done exercising

Hi

Hi ladies,

Well I finally heard from the RE's office and we will be on the prgesterone and estrogen until the end of the 12th week.

I guess it is different for everyone and all REs are different.

Molly23 - looks like we are due on the same day with twins..... Thanks for the info on the progesterone and estrogen. Hoping all is well with you and your bundles.

bdantonio - Thanks for the info. I am a bit disappointed, I was quite looking forward to no more shots, patches and suppositories. I guess it is not so bad if I focus on the fact that they are keeping my bundles healthy.

BarbD - I am happy that you are keeping all of your babies. Everything will work out the way it is suppose to, just have faith.

I have to agree that all fried foods are now my enemy......THe nausea has been pretty bad, most days I feel like I am going to loose several meals.....hoping this passes soon.

Ok, hoping everyone has a great weekend. I am quite looking forward to tons of rest and relaxation.
