Which of you guys are in the US? We are dealing with a nationwide backorder of Lupron. I'm waiting for my doctor to tell me what to do tomorrow. The manufacturer is saying it could be October before it's available.

Has anyone used something other than Lupron?

There is another medication but for the life of me I can not recall the name. We used it on our last cycle instead of Lupron. I even raided my fridge to see if any was still in there. I am sure someone else will know. Wish I could remember it for you. Hell me & DH had a hard time remembering the name when we were using it because it was not in last cycles..lol

We are in the US but I don't see lupron on our list of meds. Perhaps my doctor already switched it out knowing the shortage.

MA called me this morning. They got the results back from my bloodwork yesterday afternoon. (That was quick!) My levels went down a little but my thyroid antibody is still high. They are putting me on a low dose of Thyroid medicine (25mcg) which is the lowest you could go. They want to get that under control because the throid issues could be a problem with trying to get pregnant.

blueeyedreamer, I am aware of the shortage too, I was able to order it from a different pharmacy other than what my insurance covered, because they did not have it. At that point I was willing to pay out of pocket; it was one of the cheaper ones, thankfully. But it worked out that the pharmacy that did have it, put an override in and it was covered anyway. I hope you are able to find it. My RE’s office made a few calls and was able to track some down, but I had to order that day! Couldn’t even schedule a delivery day…. Which was totally fine, just happy I was able to get it.

Alleykittie – How are your shots going? How are you feeling? Any side effects? And yes I am a first timer in all of this.

Rubine- Yes we are on the same FET date which is great but its so weird how our protocols are so different. You started your estrace while I am still on BCP till Sunday. Weird but hey whatever works. Good Luck tomorrow at your appt

Blueeyedreamer: I am in US and RE mentioned the lupron issues to me as well. But I was lucky I still had un-opened box from last cycle which was cancelled. It really sucks that so many women depend on this medicine and the lab has a shortage. Well I hope your RE is able to find you some.

WndrGrl: hope throid pills help. You definately want to get throid under control before proceeding. Good luck.

AFM: still on BCP and Lupron. I take my last BCP on Sunday then wait for period to arrive then can go for my b/w & u/s. I'm so ready to proceed already. It seems like this time around things are taking forever. On an up note lupron headaches have been better since I learned to take Lupron in the morning and BCP at night, headaches almost completely gone.

Blueeyedreamer- I remember the name it is Cetrotide. We used that on our last cycle. I can't believe it took me all night to remember it. Hope that helps.

Jcbaby- Thanks, Me and DH got the list down to 4 but the one we really want is not available so I am on a waiting list for now... I dont know how long the wait is but for me to even get on it is good, cause the other donor we liked is too full they wont even take people for the waiting list... I figured I keep looking and if they call within that process will take it Sunday will be here before you know it and A/F should come right away

AFM- Alittle nervous with using donor sperm, is any one else using donor???

Kynlee, my friend used donor sperm because she is a single mom by choice. I dont know anything about it except that she has a super cure little boy now.

Thanks for the lupron info. According to my re, there is no more lupron to be had here. They were able to find some in england and are ordering it. I'm on hold doing continuous bcp until it arrives. I dont know when it will come. It could be a while. My patience is being tested again! Today is my pity party day. I'm very tired of everything being so damn complicated.

Hi Everyone!
Just got home from the campground, we went camping last night...Didn't get much sleep since sounds travels across water...I mean we had a tent on the bay and we could hear Club La Vela's dj until the weee hours this morning, it was crazy! We got home this afternoon and my next door neighbor ran out to the driveway to ask if we wanted to hang out with them tonight, but I feel more like crashing somewhere on my couch.... Got my afternoon nap in and been a little sunburned and a summer cold, but feeling a little better then yesterday. Glad we cancelled going out tonight with the neighbors, it's nice to unwind at home sometimes. Working all tomorrow at Chico's boutique so wanted to come back here, catch up and chat with you all tonight!

WndrGrl, I am glad they are looking into this, and hopefully it will be all you need to take care of to bring you pregnant very soon! I have been told years back that I'm borderline diabetic but that was many years back and everytime I go in for b/w I always ask about my levels and they tell me they look normal. But I am also underweight and when I ask them about that they tell me since I ovulate normally I shouldn't be concerned. However I am still interested in having my thryoid checked out, because it's good to rule everything out. Can you tell me if you are seeing the Encrinologist, or can the RE send off bloodwork to have the thryoid levels checked? Thanks so much in advance!

Kynlee, Glad you got it narrowed down to four, it would be a tough decision for any of us to make but time is on your side with this and maybe the orginal "favorite choice" will work out!

Wishing kynlee a fabulous birthday on Monday, May 23rd!

Here's a little update: Started taking the Gonal F, Menopur, and medrol and then of course lupron. I had forgotten how many injections I had to take a day. I have already bruised myself. Maybe I am doing something wrong??? I have another ultrasound Wednesday, and then if everything checks out ok, I move on to my ER on June 1st! Can't wait!!! This time I only have one ovary so hopefully we are able to retrieve a good amount of eggs. I am very worried about OHSS. I have been reading some bad things about it and also, I do not want to prolong my transfer. I am anxious to be pregnant!

Monday will be my last day of work for a while so that I am able to go to my appointments and be on bedrest after the retrieval. I remember how painful it was last time. Maybe it won't be so bad this time as I only have one ovary?

Has anyone done acupuncture during the process. I am going to see an acupuncturist on Tuesday. I think it will help me relas a little bit. And supposedly it will help with the follicle quality???? I'll try anything!
