Just a v.quick post before I dash off to work but finally, after 2 years of waiting, DF got a permanent job. He's a journalist but been sub-editing since we moved up here. He's been contracting ever since but we've been holding out for somethign permanent and yesterday he was confirmed. Whew...a huge sigh of relief. Now we can plan the rest of the year, pay the mortgage etc. hooray.

Hello All,
I've been too busy to get on the board for a while but am now catching up. It has taken me a while to get over the last failed tmt but I think I'm getting there now. Still have to wait until the end of April for our follow up appointment but hopefully will begin the next cycle quickly after that.

Glad to see that things seem to be going ok on this thread. It's nice to see some good news - gives me hope that it could be me.

Keep having fun all

Love
Debbie

glad to see you back Debbie, sorry you have to wait so long for your follow-up, it's a drag and stressful isn't it?

Whatever they say, you will find a way to get through it and hopefully back on the horse again. There's a few of us already on a May thread so perhaps you'll be popping in there?

Hi Debbie. I've also turned another year (now 41) so you're soooooo young in comparison! Nice to see you back. It does take time and sometimes I love this board, others I could take or leave it. It's tough riding other people's roller-coasters as well as our own.

Big J - I'm thinking of loading Skype onto my pc - do you need a mic (I guess yes?) + is there much of a delay?

Hugs
Debra.

Hi DP 8)

Skype is so dead cool I am just sorry I didn't know about it before.....
You need a mike, I went out and bought a head set (like call centre thing) it cost me about 30 Euros. You can do it with a mike and speakers but it's much clearer if you do the headset thing.

I also use it to listen to Virgin classic rock online whilst surfing 8)

with sister and mum in the UK, her MIL and other family in Lithuania and friends spread all over the place it has svaed us a fortune. If you Skype to a normal main telephone line there is NO delay, and just 1,7 Euros a minute but I needed the headset to make sure they could hear me without background noise, but we have DSL (broad band) so that makes a good connection. Sype to Skype is free but eg calling my sis on her pc has a slight delay, worse if someone has normal modem connection but more than OK for just voice. With web cam we found ICQ was better for computer:computer conferences.

Hope that helps!!

Love bigJ
