Can I join this thread too? I'm early 30s and new to this board - have found it such a support, practically and emotionally.

I just found out yesterday that my first IVF had to be cancelled due to over-stimulation. I had the first scan on CD 9 by which time it was obviously too late. I coasted for over a week hoping that EC could happen but Dr decided it was best to cancel. I will ask for a scan a little bit earlier for the next attempt, if that would help at all... It's all so new at the moment so I feel a bit lost. Has anyone else had the same experience?

Hi Em & welcome to the board - you will find a lot of support, advice & comfort here. I haven't experienced over-stimulation but just wanted to say don't give up as they will regulate your drugs to suit you. My first cycle I only produced 3 eggs so next time they increased my drugs and I had 12 so I'm being greedy & hoping to have more next time and hoping I can freeze some.

best wishes, Pauline x

Hello to all!!!!

Jen- Best of Luck on the 3rd. You will be in my prayers.

Good luck to all of you that are planning IVF in 2006!!!

ET is Thursday at 10 and I hope this time it isn't that painfull.
I asked for more med. this time. Other than that it was fine. It's the 2ww that is the worst. Good luck to all.

Hi Girls,

Just checking to see how everyone is doing? Jen - how's the 2WW going - only 3 more sleeps and then the BFP!! Keep positive.

Jennie - good luck with the ET on Thursday - I'm sure it will be fine, just stay positive and let those embies snuggle in!

Nicki - how you doing? Feeling more positive? Are you going to cycle again in the new year?

Lots of PMA to everyone

Luckily not long to wait then, Pauline - I'll have my next appt 15/12 to see when I can start cycling again. It always helps to have that next date to look forward to. The waiting is awful, isn't it - I think I'll get stuck into my Xmas shopping to take my mind of things!

Good luck to everyone!!
