Thanks for all the encouragement. I am still alittle stunned... but trying to get used to the idea ;)

KRose - I think 10 is great. I am sure if you asked the others many would say they didnt have that many to work with. How many will they transfer? Have you thought of Dr. Cherry and doing accupuncture on Saturday morning? I have heard wonderful results from him lately. Are you going to Northern California as he is right near by. (I used the California IVF in Davis) I happened to use his partner Joan Plastino and LOVED her. Let me know if you need any info!

OMG, OMG, OMG-- I think I got a BFP!

Like I have said in the strand before my clinic does not give results until the second blood test to make sure it rises. Today was my first BT and I called and begged ( I also brought in bagels to bribe). They told me they are very confident that I am pregnant but just to stay "cautiously optimistic" but to go out and celebrate because they are pretty darn sure!!

My numbers were either 46 or 48, I can not remember now. I still have HCJ injection fluid in me as I had to do three shots of it but they still feel my number is high. Any Input from those who know?

Anyhow, OMG, OMG, OMG. I actually have been singing and floating all day. I am waiting to tell others until Sunday but thank god for this website where i can share the happy news NOW. Keep fingers crossed.

Rachel

THanks I will keep you posted. Let me know when the fun begins (I am guessing I can tell from your ticker) and the lucky charm will be on its way. I know it is a bit superstitious but so far it is 2 for 2.

Amy,
Yes, give me any information that you have. I debated on the acupuncture but thought it was too late, that you needed to be doing it for a while for it to work. So, I never ended up looking into it, but if you think it would help just for the transfer, I would definitely do it

Yes, I am Northern California. I went through Kaiser first (they just set up their program) and had very bad results for my age. I had dealt with one of the Northern California Dr's when he worked at Kaiser with my first prenancy doing IUI's, so I went in and talked to him. He was much more optomistic than the new Kaiser endocrinologist. I am sooo glad I ended up changing.

Amy that is great news just keep smiling!!!!

Sam that is great news for being early. Best of luck with the next blood test.

Kelly it only takes one!!! well done with 10 embryios

My news is having a C@@P day. It is my birthday today which is making it worse. i turned up at cliic to have my BT at 9 am and they said they were expecting me at 7.30 as i was probably having iVIG today. I explained that i was not told that and that when they phoned on wed to say that my levels had gone from 267 to 793 i had to ask if my results were back from usa. tey said they were and that they were in range and that i might possibly need IVIG at some time but not at the moment. S

So i now have to wait around for results and they will phone me asap but it takes up to 7 hours for iVIG. Not what i wanted to do on my birthday!!!!!

I also hope it is not tommorow as i ahve a good friends wedding.

I am now getting worried that my body is rejecting them and they have got me panicy. I hate this waiting.

I will let you all know what happens.

Happy birthday. I sorry you are having a bad day. I am not sure what IVIG is but best of luck with it.. Treat yourself to something great and try to let go of things that you have no control over. All I can say is Stupid clinic!!

Hello ladies! Hope you don't mind if I join you?
I visit a few other threads as well and am a August tester so I thought I'd join the fun here too!
I had my EC on Wednesday 08/09. They collected 12 eggs, 4 not mature, 8 good for ICSI. 6 fertilized and I am pleased. Will be putting back 2 embabies either Saturday or Monday. I am crazy excited! I guess I'll be an 08/26 or 08/28 tester. How will I ever survive the wait?

Nice to meet you all and BLESSINGS for wherever you are in your cycle!

Dione, I have a question, looks like we have the same problem - Male Factor. Just wondering, did your RE recommend the IVF because of this? Mine suggested IUI first but I think it will be a waste of our time. I don't remember DH's #'s but I know they were all low. Maybe 7m on the count. It seems like ICSI would be the best choice for me.

In all honesty, from the research I have done, ICSI may be the way to go. It is more epensive thatn IUI but not sure what your unsurance covers. Mine was a male factor as well and we just did ICSI. I think I am getting a BFP (it will be confirmed on Sunday) but I doubt that would have happened without the ICSI part.

Best of luck

The clinic has phoned me and did not have to do IVIG today( medicine for immune problem and coats natural killer cells) My body rejects embryios with out it. My HCG levels have also risen to 1856 which is more than doubled again so they are pleased that way. To have next BT on sunday .

So i can now enjoy the rest of my birthday. DH is taking me out for diner.

Dione welcome to the board and good luck with ET. i would be lying if i said the 2ww flys by but just occupy your mind with other things and try to stay as relaxed as possible.

Thanks Susan and congratulations!
Jovigal, my DH numbers were very low. Once the report came in, they said they would not waste time or money doing anything but ICSI. They said they knew they could make it happen with what he has, but that there was almost no chance of us making a baby without ICSI. My DH had a varicocele and had surgery to have it removed back in November. They say it takes a year to know if it helped. Since there were no dead ones on Wednesday, I have to believe the surgery helped. We may end up on bc after this is all done!
