Yayy Rio!!! Awesome news! Told ya...lol. Looks like you'll be about 1 week behind me again...When was your ER in '08...mine was Jan 25th (I delivered 5 weeks early).

Just got the call from my progesterone b/w this a.m. and it's great so I'm to keep up w/ my PIO shot every evening.

I go in 11/5 for my first beta.

I found out today that the beta isn't included in the chunk of $$ we've already paid for our "IVF package" That stinks! We have two options:

1. my clinic will draw blood but send it off to be tested and my insurance will probably cover a portion of it; HOWEVER, I won't get the results until the NEXT DAY. My first beta is on a Friday so I wouldn't get results until Monday!
2. my clinic will draw blood and test it there so I'll get results that day but it will be 88.00 out of pocket

The catch: Whatever route we choose we have to stick w/ that for all three betas. So we can't do the 88.00 one for the first one and then send off the other two (praying there's a need for two more)

I texted dh and he said "at this point, what's $300.00 more. I want to know that day" Gotta love that man of mine. LOL LOL

I can't believe this thread is up to 100 pages. Very cool!!! So exciting to see all these great beta numbers coming in. It's very encouraging!!!!!

ETA: When I was leaving the clinic today I saw the embroyologist that gave us our pictures and was in the room when I had my transfer on Tuesday. I said hello to her and I could tell she didn't recognize/remember me. They were really busy on Tuesday w/ ER and ET so I wasn't surprised. Anyway, I told her I saw her on Tuesday, she gave me the pics of my embies etc... and she said 'You know, I remember your glasses because everyone talked about liking them" LOL LOL She asked how I was feeling and said "we all hope you have much success. We're always so happy when we get those positive pregnancy tests" Anyway, it was kind of neat to chat w/ her on the elevator on the way out of the clinic.

Nancy...that really stinks. Ridiculous! Could you ask if you could maybe go in on Thursday instead and get it back on Friday?

Nancy: I vote with Tammy--ask for Thursday. I did, because I am going out of town on Friday and my clinic told me no problem.

Good idea. I'll ask my hubby what he thinks and then call clinic and ask them if we can move it.

Tammy first ER in 08 was 1/18 so I was actually ahead of you but Zack coulnd't wait we will overlap 2WW!!!

Nancy - have your OB ask for it and go to a contracting lab this way your insurance will cover it and you can get it covered. That's what I have to do with my betas. they can still ask for it stat and get it same day.

Oh yeah, what am I thinking, Rio is right! That is exactly what I do...I could go to my RE's office which is 45 mins away or go to the lab in town which is 6 mins away (both are contracted with my insurance)...my doc just faxes over the sheet "stat" and I get them same day. I also learned along the way to fill out a paper at the lab...so that I can call and get my results at 11:30am instead of waiting for the nurse to call me at 2pm....of course you have to get there by 9:30am.

Rio...that's right...so you were exactly 1 week ahead of me then and I'll be exactly 1 week ahead of you now...that has to be great karma or whatever you call it, right?! lol

Tammy - it has to be! So you get your beta directly from the lab and not RE? You crack me up! My new RE is about 90 minutes from where I live, lots of Bay area traffic getting there, really is a pain. But hopefully all worth it! DH stayed in the car with our son so I could get poked and poked again in US

Question for girls with MF - do you always get a back up sample and freeze?

Waiting patiently for Sonya's 2nd beta......

Had my D&C today. This is my 5th time being put under this year, and the highest I ever was lol! They said they used twice the dose as the last D&C because this was a lot more involved. It took about 45 min, and when I woke up I felt like I was talking in slow motion. My RE said there was a lot of scar tissue, so it's good that I did this. He showed me pictures, but I barely remember. I guess I will see them at F/U November 15. I stop bcp November 14, and start stims november 20. Estimated ER is December 3 since I usually stim for 14 days.

Tammy-Hey...YAY for trigger!! I will know is the am if I go sunday or monday! Last time I went I didnt ask too much bc I dont want to stress over follies all I asked was how many...he said 9! I did hear him say some numbers and they all sounded like 11 and bigger..so my guess is monday for me but u never know! Im not even sure what exact size they must be for maturity..I am so excited for you..rest up bc your gonna be PUPO soon

Lauren1171-Glad your procedure went well. Now you can focus on the future and that DHEA sounds like it did wonders for your AFC!!! Thats awesome Your funny about being high...its crazy how those meds make you feel

Rio-YAY!! no CYST!!!! I am so happy for you..I know that excitment your feeling when all you have been told in the past is cancle due to cyst..been there and it suxs!! and when I got that GREAT news I was so HAPPY so you wont be far behind Tammy and I...So excited!!!

AFM - woooohoooo NO CYST! And she looked super fast (fastest in and out u/s I have ever had!) and she siad oh it looks great you got lots of follicles, at least 11. For me that is super wonderful since I usually only have 7 or less now and my right ovary never works, now it has 5 AF in my RT ovary!!! Seriously I think it is the DHEA and the CO Q10 I have been taking for 3 months. Hopefully I can have many mature eggs (only 4 on #1 and 3 on #2) and maybe even a frostie? But hopefully we will get our baby and won't need a frostie! I am super excited today, I really hope this is a great cycle!!!! I can't wait to be PUPO! I think my ER date will be around Nov 6.

RIO -- Wow..... 11 AF's up from 7! That's AWESOME. Congrats. I'm also considering DHEA for this next cycle and have pretty much read what I can get my hands on off the internet. How much did you take? Can I ask what protocol you were on? Did you use BCP's? Can't wait to see how the rest of your cycle goes. I hope you get a huge BFP!
