I am new hear - I sure wish I had found this a long time ago......I am in the same boat - I am 9dp5dt and bfn again. I have a 3 year old through donor embryos and I tested bfp at 5dp so I am real disappointed. I read that some people don't get a + until BETA. What are those odds? Is it like 1 in a million or does it happen a lot? Please. And Again thanks to you guys

Hello and Welcome, In my opinion you are testing too early and do you know that most HPTs vary in sensitivity. Meaning one brand HPT can detect as little as 25 HCG and another needs as much as 100 HCG. So if you have a low HCG count it may still give you a negative on an HPT even if your a BFP. It is best for you to just wait for beta results! Beta results can detect as little as 5 HCG and most IVF clinics will say there is a pregnancy even starting at 10 - 15 HCG 14dpt. Then they test every 2-3 days and if it doubles and keeps doubling, it's a viable pregnancy....yahoo! You gotta keep a PMA, and know miracles happen. It finally happened for me on the 5th try.

I don't know if it helped but this last time I ate pineapple in the week after transfer cuz I read it helps with implantation........Anyone, else here hear that or try it?

Thanks for all the good wishes and congrats. I'll have to go back for another US on 29 April and so hope to see a heartbeat. I'll keep you posted how things are going.

Pumma: Congratulations! I will be keeping my fingers crossed for you that you see a tiny little heartbeat on April 29th!

CT-Michelle: Congrats on finding out you are having a little girl! We just found out yesterday that we are having a little boy and a little girl. I was pleasantly surprised when I went for my regular OB visit and the u/s tech said "do you want to know what you are having?" We have our anatomy scan scheduled for May 16 so we were thinking we would have to wait until then to find out.

As for me, I went to my last high risk appointment today and all was excellent. They also advised that we are definately having a GIRL!!!

So much for us not finding out but we gave in when we got there. I am very, very happy with the news because I wanted a girl. My DH wanted a boy but it's his first so he's happy either way!!!

Update on me, I'm feeling baby at least once a day and my ankles are starting to retain fluid.....the ankle thing not cool.....I'm getting cankles

. Other than that I feel great and I'm in San Diego for a whole month with my husband!
