Good evening ladies,

Kareen - At last you post! LOL Was beginning to wonder if anythng was wrong... Just think of the exercise getting the cable all the time  It's exciting you're starting the room soon... I'll pm you my mobile - unfortunately, you may be waiting a while to hear...

Justine - Call your midwife back!!! Can she pull any strings with the hospital. I'd do a big pregnant strop if I were you - get those hormones raging - it's not fair you're being told one thing from one, and something different from the other... Hope things continue to settle though - do you think you'll be early again?

Well girls, I had my 36 weeks check today and I'm so disappointed. From being 3/5 engaged at 30 weeks, the wee man has decided it wasn't for him and is nowhere near the cervix now - despite all those strong BH :( :( :( I'm still having them but he's lying across my tummy and very high so VERY uncomfortable... The midwife is wondering if he's trying to turn but maybe can't or if he's just a bit too comfortable... Anyway, she's refrring me for a scan just to check to see where the placenta is lying etc, so it's doesn't look like I'll be going anywhere soon unless some miracle happens - mind you - stranger things have happened  My SPD is starting to play up big time - I think just because of the weight. OMG what if he can't turn because of his size   See, my head is all over the place...

Hope everyone else is fine..

zoe.....hope you are ok.... im sure baby will turn in time for birth.... he probably just being a little stubborn..... :P

justine....hope things have settled for you.....

jo...hayley...tammy....vita....thinking of yous....xxxx

as for me........ ....im really uncomfortable.... dont think my bump will go any higher than it is....my breathing is restricted  ... cant seem to enjoy my food now  ...a few bites and im stuffed.... even darren asking if im feeling ok :x ......
i have been watching all the pregnancy&birth programmes and of course crying at them :? ..... i really hope i make it to 36weeks....and if i get past it...then thats a bonus... my gp said round about 34-36 weeks,... because of my size plus the babies are growing well and not much room inside for them to turn..... twin1 is head down and twin 2 was lying across but he/she has moved....mabye head down.....
i would give my right arm for a good nights sleep....well not my right arm as thats the one i would use to lift my vodka&redbulls after birth...lol.... as for the babies room.....a few coats of emulsion is all it needs and then we can fire the border up.... it will be a while before the babies actually sleep in there..... they will be in with me until they 3-4months....
i cant believe all this is happening.... im very emotional which isnt me  ... im looking forward to them being here but i am a bit anxious about giving birth......god i hope i have a natural delivery the thought of a c-section fills me with dread...

take care girls....

Hi kareen and Justine

K - NOT eating??? OMG that's not good.... Well done on the nursery - you are so organised. I'm thinking the babe will be with us for a few months so am not thinking about his room - it's bad I know but DH works from home and it's his office at present - am thinking we're having to put an extension or conservatory on next year... :( It's too flipping expensive to move.

J - well done on 34 weeks! I bet now it'll be like me - anxious to get to that stage and then wondering why nothing is happening.   Well done on stretch marks too - you lucky so and so. I got off scot free with Sam, but I''ve developed one :( (or my war wound as dh affectionately calls it! LOL). Am plastering it with cream, but to no avail of course...

I can't believe you two are both eating less - I'm like a piggy at the moment - maybe that's why he can't turn! LOL

You'll both be fine in labour - all will kick in nicely and it'll all be over before you know it...hols me to that!

Rest easy

Hello all you lovely ladies

I hope you are all doing well. Just popped on to give you all an update!

I have been in hospital for a few days. I was laying in bed on Tuesday morning as I felt unwell and there was a gush of water, not a lot but enough to get me worried. I was contracting every 15 minutes too. I don't mind having her early but 15 weeks is a bit much! Was taken in until everything calmed down. They were worried if I went home and did go into full blown labour as she's not my first it could be very quick and I may not make it back to hospital in time (it's a 30-40 minute drive). Thankfully everything has calmed down in that department.

My crohns has flared up again. I've been off the steroids for 6 days now but they said this morning I have to go back on them. I'm now waiting for Mitchellen to knock on my door asking me to be their new mascot! Being back on the high dose will send my insulin sky high again, I'm already on 396 units!

The little scare has really made me worry. I wrapped up the girls presents yesterday and put an initial in the corner just in case I'm not home when father christmas comes  Paul says if I'm in hospital then he would make them wait until they get there and open them on my bed!

Still struggling with all this weight. I've actually asked for some help as I'm getting a little depressed being so unable to do anything.

I'm sorry I don't have time for personals today. Will try and come on in the next couple of days and catch up properly. I've got physio tomorrow so hopefully that will help my back a little.

Love to you all, thinking of you all lots

Jo

Hi J & J !

Jo - I'm so glad you posted as I was beginning to worry that we'd not heard from you. No wonder you got a scare - I hope you plan to take it really easy from now on. I'm glad things have calmed down a bit - well done for even thinking about the girls presents. What do they think itwas - was it your waters???? Like Justine syas, apparently you can go for ages even if you lost a lot of water, they can even replenish a bit I think.... I'm sure you've been given great advice - your hospital sound nice and helpful. Make sure you take care.

Justine - OF COURSE a girl's gotta worry  I mean, what else would we do with our time?????

Tell you what girls - as we're all over the country...let's form a 'No admittance to hospital over Christmas' barrier - like a force field. LOL. There's a lot of wish power between us...LOL

Take care

Happy Friday Ladies:

I can't keep up with your posts!!

Jo: I'm sorry to hear that you had a hospital stay. It's a good idea to get your presents wrapped. I thought about that too. For some unknown reason, I keep dreaming that Andrew will be born early.

Zoe: I agree with your "no admittance to hospital over Christmas barrier". Christmas is my favorite time of year and I definitely do not want to miss it if at all possible.

Justine:I hope you are doing well. It is good to hear that your cramps stopped.

Kareen: It seems that my bump has been settling lower today. I felt a little pressure when I walk. I don't have much room for food either. I'm worried, since I am only 27 weeks and have a long way to go.

Vita:I think the camcorder days will come for us. My sister was telling me that in the final weeks of her pregnancy, you could actually see an arm or leg moving from the outside. Andrew is so active these days.

Hayley: Good to hear that your scan went well. I will have a 31 week scan in a few weeks. I can't wait as I have not had one since week 19!

Well, I'd better get off of here. I have to finish the Christmas decorating.

Take care all,
Tammy

Hello Ladies,

How are you all? Boy there's so much to catch up on on here, that will teach me for staying away!

Kareen where are you? You haven't been on for a while, hope everything is ok. It sounds like you are feeding your babies well. They are a great weight.

Justine how lovely that Jake and his wife have a lovely healthy baby girl. Good weight too. You can usually tell by the look on someone's face when you knock if it's too soon to pop round! I went round my friend's last Friday, she had a little girl the week before and I was shocked. Not a bag under her eye or a hint of tiredness. She already has two little girls, 2 and 4. I don't know how she does it, (well she has a cleaner so that helps a little!).

Justine it's funny that you say about giving birth on the coach. I've had a few dreams that I've given birth in the back of an ambulance on the M11!

Zoe you are my inspiration. I'm so worried that as my last two were born at 35 weeks then this one will be too but you will be term (37 weeks) in a couple of days after having Sam early. That's great. I hope you haven't been hit with that bad weather up there. I don't think the baby was ever engaged until labour with any of mine so don't worry about that bit.

Tammy my friend. How's things with you? Did you get all your decs up? We put ours up on Friday. Well I say we, I had to watch the girls do it, it was awful. I'm usually so particular with the tree but I've just had to say oh well this year - maybe I should put a sign on the window to say the girls did it! lol I'm glad Andrew is moving loads now. Making up for those weeks you didn't feel him!

Vita I hope you are ok and incubating those little ones nicely. I know you are due to go into hospital very soon. I hope everything goes well for you and you get to keep them in there as long as possible. Will be thinking of you.

Hayley it's great you have everything ready but I'm sure you did before the end of the first trimester!

Yes my waters were trickling a little last week but all has stopped now. Still suffering but I think that's just the way it is going to be now. I went to physio last Friday and have been fitted with a back brace. She said there isn't really anything else they can do. They can't manlipulate it as everything softens when you are pregnant and you might do more damage than good.

My midwife said today when I back to see the consultant in two weeks she is going to come in with me. I have a growth scan that morning. She said the plan will be to bring me in at 34 weeks. Give me some steroids (like I haven't had enough) but these ones will be to mature Ellie's lungs. Then look at delivering at 35 weeks. Wow that's like 9 weeks away! She doesn't know if I'm going to make that far as my weight is going up every week (because of the steriods and insulin, I've brokent the hospital's record with the amount now!) and she's worried my blood pressure may not hold out.

At least I'm all ready for Ellie's arrival and also christmas is sort of done now. If I haven't got it now then I'm not going to bother.

One thing I did remember when I went into hospital last week is don't forget your pillow! Theirs was just like lying on a sheet and nothing smells as nice as your own soap powder - or at least pack a nice clean pillow case to put over their pillow.

Heather, Abbie, Riley etc I hope you are all doing good. Got to go now as my back is about to break!

Take care all

Jo

Hey there girls,

Sorry I've not posted for a bit - I don't know where the time goes - and nothing to show for it :?

Anyway...

Tammy - what Christmas decorating are you doing?? The house? My M-I-L was asking when I was putting my tree up - I'm normally starting to bend DH's ear around the 1st, the tree would be up in school and I've had seriously started winding up the kids by now...I don't know, I feel so different this year. Presents all bought and wrapped, but no feeling to mouch around shops etc. I'm soooooooooooo worried about ending up in hopsital over Christmas and I think it's stopping me enjoying the run up a little - That's so shocking everyone! Och, I'm sure I'll get the spirit soon - it's been a tiring week with my sister and her lot down, so I'll just have to give myself a good kick up the bum  Hope you are well anyway...

Justine - How are you, my friend? No, no sign of the wee man yet. To be honest, until I know he's turned I'm nervous about anything happening. My friend (who is due on the same day as me (!) ) have talked of exactly what your husband is saying, but she was reassured by the consultant she saw that the same amount of staff were on - our concern was, 'yeah - but have they been out the night before partying' LOL
  Glad the contractions have stopped. Sllep if you can - there will be a shortage of it soon :?

Jo - Glad to see you back girlie! You are a sweetie - the time will pass in no no time at all and before you know it you'll be at the stage you want to be. I'm ready now as I feel like a complete heffer and as he's still so high up, I'm so flaming uncomfortable. The weather is very stormy here - I thought the roof was blowing off last night and Sam was a nightmare with the noise - so we're all a bit grumpy today. What's it like with you. Thanks for the reassurance about engaging - I just wish he would now - I'm ready to meet him...Your midwife sounds lovely and it's nice she's going with you. Stay positive about the blood pressure - hopefully it'll stay at some reasonable level... As for the weight - I bet it'll just drop off afterwards - the things our bodies go through...

Well, heard this afternoon that my scan to check the wee man is not still lying across the way is Wednesday pm... Keep everything crossed for me please...

Take care all
