I get an ultrasound each time I go...not always to look at the baby for a long time but to look at their heartbeats. On Doppler it is harder to tell which is which so they use the ultrasound to do it.

I'm with Sugabeanz, I like a quick ultrasound at every appointment just to see the heartbeat and check that they are both still there. My OBGYNs u/s machine is okay - but compared to the professional scan you dont see too much -so good for a quick hello. My Doc told me I can come in as often as I like to get a quick u/s but I am trying to be relaxed and laid back so I am aiming to get to my anatomy scan at the end of the month without any interim checks...so far feeling pretty cool.... only 3 weeks to go...

I took DH to a baby store in the weekend just so he could eyeball a double stroller - he totally freaked at how big they are (and I think the slow realisation of all the stuff we need) ..haha poor thing... his head is not quite in that space yet...

Well I have totally popped, am in my complete maternity wardrobe- elastic everywhere I look, a bit scary that I am so preggo already but hoping I can hold the line (size wise) for a month or so....

Sarah V: I was in maternity clothes since like almost 3 months. I hear ya! Now my maternity clothes are starting to get smaller. I am gaining weight EVERY where!! It is annoying! I dont eat all that much (no appetite really) so it is just odd how the fat still packs on. Butt, thighs, face, arms...UGH!

Well Thursday I will hopefully be uplifted from bed rest. At least get on limited to where I can kinda clean again. I have broken the rest a few times to go to the movies (sitting the whole time!!) But I dont have the pressure like I did which is nice. But if he wants me to stay on it then I shall!

I did not know that being pregnant was this much work/pain. I mean I love it that I am creating life with my husband and we are truly blessed but everyone always talks about how WONDERFUL pregnancy is. Sure, maybe it is for some. But I am always in pain carrying this babies, ligament pain is the worst to where I want to cry, pee all the dang time, etc. Sheesh. They need to tell you how it really is so you are not surprised!

Well we decided on our girls names....

Mackenzie Elise and Brooke Elizabeth

So excited to see them here in 3 months!! I am praying that I carry them to at least 35 weeks so that they are healthy and lungs developed. I will try!! When did you ladies deliver?

Sugabeanz- it is nice to know someone else was in maternity clothes from 3 months. I really love the names you have chosen, a great choice. Good luck with getting the all clear from the Doc.

Sarah--don't worry about the maternity clothes! I bet you look great! After TTC for so long, I actually got EXCITED to go buy maternity stuff! Now yeah, at the end, it was a bit excessive (size wise), but your body will recover!

Sugabeanz--good luck getting the all clear tomorrow. I remember having ligament pains for a while--they did hurt, and they scared me that I thought I was having contractions! But then, one day they just went away. I hope that happens for you. It's true, you should enjoy your pregnancy--especially after going through IVF to get there! BTW--your names are beautiful!

Sarah - Hope you get all clear today! as far as maternity clothes - I think that's the best part about being pregnant you get to look all cute with the big belly :)

I always thought pregnant women were beautiful!!

I read you guys have said something about ligament pains - what's that and when do you get those pain??

Are they really that bad?? Lol sorry just trying to get an idea and be prepared for it when that happens.

I get to go today for my first OB visit - hoping she will do u/s to make sure my babies are doing great!

well ladies I had my first OB visit and it went great!!!!

Except for the part where they drew 6 tubes of blood!! I am like omg are you seriously gonna get that much out LOL

I am a little confuse my RE said I was 10 weeks but when I went to my OB did ultrasound both babies are doing great:

Baby A - Measuring at 9W5D - HB: 171
Baby B - Measuring at 9W1D - HB: 176

So now i am confuse am I 10Weeks or am I 9weeks 5days? LOL

is this normal to have this much of difference between RE and OB ultrasounds?

When did you have your retrieval? I went from my retrieval date and went two weeks back and called that the first day of my period.

Sameera--you're 10 weeks. With IVF, they're usually pretty solid on "how preggo" you are! The weeks on the u/s are usually just a way to measure how "big" the babies are. And yes, the babies are not usually on the same exact day. Sometimes baby A might measure a few days ahead of B and then the next time it could totally switch. It's really just a size issue. I wouldn't worry about it. (Plus, the measurements can vary depending on the tech doing the u/s). I do remember my RE saying that as long as they're within a week of each other, there's no reason to even blink at it! :)

Sameera~ I second what Kim said. Mine never measured the week I was but I was told not to worry over it either. Also, I never had the RLP. There was the occasional foot under rib and I did have LOTS of contractions. Real and BH but no pain for me so don't expct it. It may or may not happen. Sounds like you are doing really well. It's fun to relive everything again thru you pg mommies! Thanks!!!

Sugabeanzs~ I love your babies names. Elise and Elizabeth were on my top 5 list as well. They have a very elegant sound to them. Can't wait to see who they become! I fI would have had two girls. . . WOW!!! I would have gone crazy dressing them alike. I wouldn't have been able to control myself. No wonder I'm a b/g mommy. :D

Our little fella keeps growling like a bear and making his sister cry today. How can you punish that? It's adorable and yet Annelise just can't come to terms with her new brother the bear. Could be a long next few days!

Have a great night everyone.

Kim~ Ellie walking is the cutest thing ever!!!! I love a shirtless baby first of all and then the bow!!!! TOO CUTE!!!!! I was going back in time on photobucket and I love the video of Braeden crawling. Can't time just stop for a minute??? I am having serious anxiety about my babies growing up. I love every minute but it all seems to be slipping away so fast. Could sincerely sit here and cry right now!

Seriously, goodnight everyone!

Thank you ladies you guys have been tremendously helpful and patient with answering all my questions!!

I am not going to worry about it anymore and just go with what RE said and follow that route..

Oh by the way have you guys heard about Prenate DHA?? My OB prescribed me two mediciations ones Prenate DHA and other i cannot even read her handwritting to figure out what it is.. LOL

But she said to start taking those on 25 weeks that will help with babies brain development - it has Omega fatty acids and stuff..

I didn't know if you guys had to take them or not??

I have been taking prenatal vitamins OTC - I only take one pill a day do you think I should start taking 2 a day??

I don't know what the difference is between OTC and prescription prenatal vitamins.

Hi Sameera,
The Dha is good for brain devlopment. I take the prenatal vitamins Duet DHA it's two pills. I was prescribed those through my ivf dr and my ob said for me to keep taking them after they are born through breastfeeding.
I'm not sure the difference btwn over the counter and prescription vitamins. If the dr says its ok then it must be ok.

2nd IVF August 2007 BFN
3rd IVF October 2007 BFP twins!!
