Ninde,
You are too funny, I am so afraid of needles esp when dh comes after me with the hcg shot, I yelped the first time but after a few more I learned icing down the area first always helps. For this cycle we only had a 12 hour timeframe from the trigger to the IUI, so I almost had to ask dh to meet me at the store with the shot, and he would of laughed at me! But the girls I worked with are so supportive and let me run home for a bit. I need to bake them cookies this week, I hear you also love to cook. I have the biggest sweet tooth, two of my friends gave me the same Hershey Cookbook for Christmas one year. Anyway I'm glad you joined us over here, remind me what's all going on for your cycle? :D

Mandrae,
Thanks for your post, my dh was previously on vitamin A and C and it helped boost his count. My new RE has gone one step further and put him on MegaMan vitamins and it has all the essential nutrients...What is so crazy for us is this cycle I called on Thursday asking them about my husband holding out for two weeks, if that would play a toll on quality? They said yes we needed to have intercourse tonight, and then on Friday (the very next day) we get a call that the procedure is taking place on Saturday.... so you know with only 36 hrs he was worried. Hs count ended up being 4.3 million and when they washed the sperm, the morp went from 30 to 88 percent. We don't know if that is really really good, but dh asked questions and gave the doctor several opportunites to tell us differently. :) All the best to you!

Wehavehope - definitely tell the doc about your side pain. i am worried it might be ectopic, when embryo implants in the tube. i hope not - but they should do u/s and look for it anyway. i had an ectopic the cycle before last.

Christy - thank you so much! yes we have been through a lot together! i hope your lining gets a chance to thiken up before the embryo arrives into uterus. it should - it still has a few days.

wishing, ninde, prayers - thanks so much, girls! i dont know what tomorrow brings, but i am allowing myself to enjoy the moment today.

Thank you Lyd10 :D
I need to find out if anyone out there has gotten sick the very next day after having an IUI done. My tongue is solid white probably from vomiting earlier (sorry tmi) and I have only drank blue gateraid and water, ate one donut, 2 pieces of watermelon, some crackers and peanut butter toast. Could my wbc count be up? My stomach still feels like someone has punched me mostly on my right side. Any advise would be greatly appreciated, afraid to take anything. Plus my eyes are red ( possibly from sleeping with eyeliner on or using some eye drops that weren't brand new) from yesterday when I crashed after the procedure for 5 hours. But I'm more concerned about my abdomen pain, maybe some rest will help. Last week was insanely busy...

Christy - you should tell RE about abdomen pain and vomitting. they should monitor you for OHSS just in case. E2 will continue to go up since your follicles ovulated and eggs have been released. hopefully its jut stomach ache.

Hi there

Just a quick post as I'm in work.

Sunshine - phone your RE - even if just to put your mind at rest. Im only on my first cycle of IVF and am on day 6 of the injections today so I don't know much and perhaps its all the drugs - but whatever it is your RE needs to know. Let us know how you get on?

Wehavehope: I am really holding you in my thoughts. I'm really glad you got out to a movie, even just for a change of scenery and to give yourself some small break.

Lauren: Best of luck today!

Lyd10: How are you doing today?

Right, better run! Catch you all later!

Good morning ladies,

I want to thank you all for your kind workds and for keeping me in your thoughts and prayers. I went to see my RE this morning and had another Beta drawn. I also had an ultrasound due to the persistant pain I have to my left lower abdominal area. According to the nurse and u/s tech they did not see anything abnormal. No ectopic, no mass, no cyst, no nothing. Obviously, this was not the way may first u/s was suppose to be but God is in control, I am not. I am not sure is the fact that they did not see anything on the u/s is good or bad. I am waiting for my RE to call me this afternoon with his opinion on the u/s and with the Beta results.

I am sending tons of luck to all of you and much love. Best of luck to all of you who are having you Beta's today. Also withing all the best to those on the 2WW, I know how difficult that is, but you'll make it. All all the reast, I am sending much love, peace, and patience in this long and sometimes difficult journey. Don't loose faith.

Lauren - good luck today!

wehavehope - waiting to hear from you RE. I am anxious to know what he thinks is going on and what are the next steps.

Christy - i am glad you are feeling better!

Ninde - glad stimming is going well.

Ester - you are several days into your stimms now. Grow follies, grow!

AFM - i dont know guys - i took another HPT this morning and instead of getting darker it was kind of barely there. So - i am not getting my hopes up. I've seen this movie before unfortunately. Last time i had a series of faint HPTs than never got darker, my beta came in at 20 and grew very slowly - and it turned out to be an ectopic. So, I am really hoping it is not an ectopic this time. But HPTs not getting darker is not a good sign - its probably a chemical at best and an ectopic at worst. so that's where i am - had a good day yesterday - but this morning's HPT being barely there definitely put a damper on things. My beta is on wednesday - and with faint HPT like this morning its probably going to be in the 20 range again. which is not a good start unfortunately. but whatever - i am so tired of this frankly. this weekend i was working on coming to terms with the fact my DS might be the only child. I was focusing on as many positives of this as i could find - one being that the 3 of us can spend a lot of time together. DH and I can go to his swim lessons together, take him to the playground together - you get the drift - parents with 2 kids have to sometimes go separate ways to take them on their separate activities. i guess i can try to focus on the positives of only one child.

Anyway, let's play this out obviously and I definitely will do another cycle in the fall
