UPDATE

Post by stefanie »

Stacy, Amanda, Toobee -

Official congratulations on all your BFPs and to everyone else. That list is quite impressive.

I talked to my RE and she was not concerned about the spotting. That was a relief, she told me to look out for miscarriage signs like heavy bleeding and cramping. I knew that. I guess because I once went in at 12 weeks and there was no heartbeat (but I had no signs other than a little spotting the week before) that I feared it was happening again. And still do.

I think when you've miscarried before, and then had to work for over a year to get pregnant again, you just can't deal. You want someone to say you're fine, and it's just hard.

I suddenly don't feel pregnant (nausea, heartburn, equally desirous and disgusted by food) but I am going to keep the faith and try to listen to my own advice which is to accept what is and just not try to second guess.

I am taking it easier. resting. I have a day off tomorrow. People here are being nice (but keep inviting me to come over or eat, and the thing I need is to rest at the end of the work day, as that is all the energy I have.

So I sign off now, wishing everyone the best tonight and this weekend and congratuations to all. there was a lot of good news this week.

sfleming~ congrats on the healthy heartbeat! that is wonderful news!!!

Amanda~congrats x 2!!! How exciting that you are carrying twins!!!

Stephanie~I am worried about you-please keep us posted on the spotting and other symptoms. I really feel for you having this happen while you are away from home in a strange city lugging a heavy laptop around! Please try to take it easy.

Chris~Thanks for updating the schedule. I had to chuckle seeing my name all by itself in the stimming category with all you ladies already completed! I sure hope I can finish out this thread with one final BFP!

Renee~Good luck at transfer. I am thinking of you and hoping for all the best! Please let us know how it goes.

I had my bloodwork this morning and the Doc says my E2 is 1072. She said this is very good and shows my body is responding well! So I stay on the same dosage and go back for more bloodwork on Monday morn. I am still feeling weepy and sleepy with headaches--but very hopeful.

Stefanie- I wouldn't worry too much about the lack of symptoms. I only had symptoms for a few days and haven't really had any since. I just had my u/s yesterday and saw both hearts beating. I am sure it is scary.

I have a cramp or two. So unless it is sever I wouldn't worry if you get that either. Has it been red? Or is it brown or pink? I bet you it is just the placenta digging in deep. Are you going to be seen by your RE or OB doc when you get home?

Good Luck :)

I just got back from my scan and I have 5 follies in range and a bunch of smaller ones bringing up the rear! (This is tremendous news for a poor responder like me!) The Doc also told me that my body is responding in a better way this time as they are growing slower (last time I stimmed in 6 days! not a good thing) So even though it is not the dozen eggs I was visulaizing--I am quite pleased.

Hey VAL

JJJake hear, i know it's been a while since i posted but I had to reply to what your going through right now. I had my 2 US on thursday and heard my babies HB but the one thing my Doc said to me may help you....He said " your lucky ladies and gentlemen (he's a jokester) here's the HB that just started no more than 2 days ago." So when you had your US you may have missed it by a day or two..... you will hear it when you go in next time I'm sure of it.

I'ma post alittle later.....My computer is now up and going :D

Good morning ladies,

SueQiwi~ You're doing really well with your E2 number and your follies. Sounds like you will have plenty to work with. What a relief that must be for you!! Every day you're closer to your BFP!!

Renee~ Welcome to the 2ww. I'm glad you got a laptop for your bed rest, that will help you keep busy! Sounds like you have 2 good embies in there. Enjoy your POAS experience. And soon you will join us with your BFP.

JJJake~ Good to hear from you! I was about to PM you since we had not heard from you! I'm glad you got to see the hb on your first US. And thanks for your reassuring words. I know we will see a hb too comes next Thursday.

Stefanie~ How are you feeling? Are you back in the comfort and safety of your home. I hope the spotting has stopped and that the symptoms have resurfaced.

Toobee~ How are you feeling? Has the spotting stopped for you too? I hope the MS is going away and that the remedies are working.
Let us know how you are doing!

As for me, I'm patiently waiting for Thursday to come. I assume everything is ok as the symptoms are staying with me, sometimes more than others. I do feel pulling well below my belly button...on the left, on the right and sometimes straight across. No more AF type cramps for at least the past week or more, just the pulling.

Hope you are all having a great Monday.

Much love,

thanks for the good wishes. let me send some out now to MUCH HOPE. Congrats on starting up w/ the donor. hooray, you're on your way!

ALL IS WELL. I finished work in DC early, took an earlier train home yesterday, was feeling queasy again, but went to OB this morning anyway. since there are two, I just needed to know they are both there.

There they were, growing more w/ both hearts beating well. What a relief, and luckily, the doc did not make us feel foolish for coming in. Now I can relax this week w/ complete peace of mind.

I did my first Progesterone shot myself! DH will be away on business, and I have theater tickets, so I needed to be able to do it myself. DH was so impressed. (Ice helped a lot) so for anyone who may have to do it themselves, you can. ICE, and practice watching it go in a few times before you do it. Last week in DC, I had to teach my shot givers so I was looking when they did it. It made it easier.

Boy, I have this new set of life skills after IVF -

Thanks everyone for the good thoughts last week. I am back to taking it easy, and feeling great.

g'night.

Hey everyone, hope you are doing well and not having too many PG symptoms.

Toobee- Last I heard you were having a lot of nausea, has that subsided some?

SueQiwi - You should be getting closer to ER. I am living my life through everyone else right now since I am not in a cycle, so I can't wait for you to get your BFP.

Valerie - How are you holding on? I know that is pure torture that you don't get another u/s until next week but I am sure your little bean is doing just fine.

JJake - Congrats on seeing your little beans heartbeat. I can't wait till I get PG and see my little jeepers heart beat. I don't know what would be better to get the BFP or see the heart beat. I guess you all can answer that question.

So I was hoping all you great ladies can send some P&PT to a good friend of mine and his wife. Here is the story -
My friend Mike who is also Dh's best friend, and his wife have been TTC for about 3 years. 9 months of that they were off of birth control but not actually trying because they were planning their wedding. Anyway they were on clomid for 6 months or so. Last May I was whining on the board that I was hoping she wasn’t PG because I couldn't take if she was PG before me. I just had my cycle turned into an IUI and it ended up a BFN. We were also all going on vacation at the end of May and I know once she get PG she will be crabbing all the time that she is sick and I didn't want her to ruin my vacation. She is always sick and I think she does it sometimes for the attention. So long story short, she wasn't PG and earlier this month they went to the RE. This week they will be doing an IUI and I was hoping that everyone can send some P&PT that this or one of their IUI's work for them. Yes, I will be devastated if she gets PG before me especially if my next cycle doesn't work but I also don't wish IVF on anyone. I would rather just have to suck it up then have them go through all this IVF crap.

Thanks,
Chris

Stephanie~Im glad that you are home and feeling better! So great that you got into see the Doc and all is well with the twins. Take it easy.

Val~Thursday will be here soon--hang in there. I hope you are taking it easy and being good to yourself in the meantime.

Chris~I will be sure to keep your friends in my thoughts and hope for their BFP. I wouldn't wish IVF on anybody! I hope youare holding up too--your next cycle will be here so soon.

MuchHope~How exciting that you are nearly ready fro your donor egg cycle! I hope all goes well and am hoping for your BFP.

Renee~How are you feeling? I hope all is well during your 2WW so far. Are you going crazy from waiting?

I went for bloodwork and scan again this morning. I am so excited as there are now six follies in range! A half dozen eggs would be amazing for a low responder like me. I've got my fingers crossed. My E2 level is over 5000 which she said is very good. I go back again tomorrow morning for another scan. I'm happy as I am stimming much more slowly this time--last time I stimmed in 6 days which results in poorer egg quality. So Im hoping slow and steady wins the race this time!

Your follie report sounds great! Congrats and I am crossing my fingers for you! I hate to stomp on your parade, but your E2 is fairly high for 6 follies...please be careful with OHSS..I have it and it sucks, and I would hate to see you get it. Please talk to your RE if you start to expereince any unusual bloating, water retention or discomfort. I know your a low responder and I was also a low responder at first and produced 11 follies. My E2 wasnt as high as yours and I pray you wil be fine..and probably will. Just be careful before you move on to trigger if you thik you have any symptoms...just saying

My update
Struggling with severe nausea and fatigue and it is getting worse......tried everything including the kitchen sink for relief, RE doesnt want me on any drugs for a host of reasons. Guess I need to wait it out, but I am unable to work which has been very difficult since I dont get sick days or sick pay.I consider myslef a trooper and very rarely get sick and if I do I normally suck it up. But this nausea has kicked my butt. I own a studio and I hope my buiz can weather a few more weeks of my absence for the most part...I hope I am lucky it will subside to a more managable level soon. Ill write persoanls eventually.......I hope everyoe is well, I am reading your posts, just not a big participant at the moment for the reasons above.

Hugs and baby dust to all.........
