sueqiwi congrats on those follies. I am a poor responder who had 3 antral follies made it up to 5, and got 3 eggs. ...(and twins) so you are doing amazingly. Keep up w/ that E2 number. make sure the doc is monitoring closely.

to bee sorry about the nausea. are you able to eat? I have heard potato chips are actually good. Potato chips and lemonade. Lemon and the sweet help ease it. and the salt in the chips is actually good. Also If you look at that twins triplets and quads book - you needn't totally worry about what you are eating as you want to gain a lot of weight early w/ multiples. Remember, with three your symptoms are going to be stronger than others'. It might be rough for a while.

I am queasy and really picky about what I want to eat. I like v-8 juice and things with tomato sauce - spaghetti bolognese and pizza. I try to make sure I eat a salad w/ it and a glass of milk, but it's all I want (so weird after eating nothing but Kale and nuts and legumes while trying to conceive!) However, I ate these heavy meals for a week, and ended up losing 2 pounds, so the little ones must need it. I also try to eat apples and applesauce w/ ground flaxseed in it.

For some reason applesauce and apple flavored oatmeal feel like something I can tolerate. (gotta get my fiber)

I hope mentioning food didn't just make you sicker. Hang in there.

I'm well. a little bloody stool today, so I think I'm going to try Milk of magnesia which the OB suggeested.

Thanks Chris! Great news, 1 heartbeat @117 BPM. It was very cool, we could actually hear it! Our little bean is 5.75 mm and measures 6w3d, a day ahead of schedule. Still at 15% chance of miscarriage but we can't help but be excited!

My RE still didn't want to reduce my progesterone dose, but I broke down and asked to switch to Endometrium. I can't bear these knots for another month. And you know what? They gave me a week's worth of samples!

Val - I'm really pulling for you tomorrow. Your symptoms are a good sign. When I had my m/c my symptoms started diminishing prior to the m/c.

Stefanie - Prune juice works well for me. I'm a weird one, I actually don't mind the taste. I'm so glad to hear your scare was a false one.

SueQiwi - you are responding fabulously! Keep on stimming baby!

Renee - How's your 2ww going so far? You are very dilligent with the POAS!

toobee - Sorry to hear you're still struggling so much. Have you tried the acupressure wristband? What's your weight looking like? I had a friend whose Dr. wouldn't put her on nausea meds until 4 months at which point she still weighed less than when she got pregnant!

Chris - wishing nothing but the best for your friend. You're right, nobody should have to go through this.

Much Hope - Great news about your donor. Please keep us posted.

Good evening everyone!

Kerpupples~ Hooray for seeing a healthy heartbeat...that is wonderful news for you! I'm really happy for you! :D :D

SueQiwi~ Great follies report!! You're doing fantastic. I would also watch your E2 numbers as they are pretty high already.
Ghost has talked about a different way of triggering to avoid OHSS. You might want to look into that. I'll try and find the post and let you know.

Renee~ I think it's still too early for the trigger shot to be out of your system. So I think it's still your trigger giving you positives. A few more days and you should get your real BFP.

Toobee~ I'm so sorry that you're having such a tough time. I feel for you for not having found any relief yet. You poor thing. Nausea is really debilitating and I can only imagine what you're going through.
You're in my thoughts!

Much Hope~ I am so happy for you...I see a BFP for you in the near future!! You're going to do so well!! I'll be so happy to keep following your story!

Chris~ I'm wishing your friend the best of luck and hope she gets her BFP real soon.
You know, when I went through my chemical, I also lived through the other ladies that were doing their cycles...It gave me wonderful strength and rejoice to see them be so happy. It was very therapeutic for me and hopefully gave the other ladies extra PMA. I feel that you're doing the same and I know you feel better for it! Thank you for being so supportive, it means a lot to all of us! :D

Turtles and JJJake~ Hope you girls are feeling well and baby growing strong.

As for me, it has been a little difficult. The wait is starting to kill me and I've been battling to keep my PMA. This is so far worse than the 2ww. So many things run through your mind and so difficult to shut them off.
My emotions are all over the place and I suppose it's the hormones. I'm laughing my head off and crying at the same time. I'll cry for nothing and everything.

The other day, I was really tired and wanted to take a nap but I was also so hungry. I told DH that I needed a SNAP ( Snack+ nap at the same time).

I don't have any nausea but I'm hungry all the time...more so starting after lunch all the way to the time I'm going to sleep. I'm really bloated and struggle to button my pants...actually I don't. Twinges and pulls come here and there.
I'm hanging on to my symptoms as good signs...I have my US tomorrow at one and will need all the good vibes available.
I'll let you know as soon as possible.
Thank you for the well wishes.

Much love,

Val

Kerpuppies~Congrats on your healthy heartbeat! That is excellent news!

Stephanie~You are definitley an inspiration to me being a low responder now pregnant with twins! I want to join you :)

toobee--thank you so much for your advice on the OHSS! I thought I didn't have to worry since I am a low responder. I thought that it only affected women with over 20 eggs. I will be on the lookout for any symptoms. How and when did it start for you?

Val~I will be thinking of you tomorrow! Be good to your self in the meantime. Try to distract yourself as much as possible so your mind won't run away with all the posibilites.

Renee~I hope you are hanging in there during the 2WW. Is your husband still home? I hope you got to spend some QT with him while he was home. that must be so tough to be separated for so long! And then have to do all the IVF stuff while he is in town. Do you feel any symptoms yet?

So I am triggering tonight! My lining was at 11.9 today and all six follies in range! I am getting scared about the possibility of OHSS now after seeing your posts--my E2 level is extremely high. And I have to trigger with a DOUBLE DOSE of ovidrel tonight to release my eggs properly! I sure hope this won't push me into OHSS!
(Last time my eggs were still hanging on at collection and they had to flush my ovaries multiple times. This was painful and also washed away cumulous cells from the eggs which affected the embryo quality. that's why they are giving me two trigger injections this time)
My Hubbs and I are going to the World of Wearable Art tonight (big New Zealand artistic/fashion production) so I will be injecting both my tirgger shots in the bathroom at the arena at 9:30! It is just terrible timing--but we bought the tix a year ago and didn't want to miss the show.

Suequiwi - Congrats on triggering. I would definatly watch for OHSS especially with that high dosage of trigger. Wishing you the best of luck at ER tomorrow.

Karen - How you holding up on your 2ww? Throwing lost of sticky dusts so those little embies implant. It will be a lot nicer homecoming for DH in December for you to be PG then going through IVF once again.

Val - You are in my thoughts today.

Kerpupples - way to go girl!!! I am so happy for you. It was a little later than you would have wanted but it was actually right on time. so glad the little one is measuring well and know that we are all pulling for you.

I am spotting again. I am taking it easy on the sofa today. It's not a lot and according to doc and websites it's very normal, but I am not resting. I just heard from a dear college friend having twins from IVF (also 40) and her doc said, the more rest you take in the first trimester, the less bedrest you'll need at the end of the pregnancy. so I'm on the sofa chowing down, and hoping this is just normal spotting.

after all our bodies are making 50% more blood and the placenta is implanting. now.

think good thoughts. I know I've decided to.

Hang tight girl! You are doing so good and your such strong person. You always keep your kool unlike me when I see blood and do the freak out! Cause yes, I am a freak like that. Glad your taking it easy. I am reading "When You're Expecting Twins, Triplets or Quads" thanks to you. Its a great book so far, but have a 3/4 ways to go to finish it. I am like you though, I have decided to think good thoughts as well. However my nausea helps me since its hard to think about nything else aside form how crappy I feel! Oy vey-

Suequiwi
I didnt want to scare you about OHSS, but I did want to prepare you. First off, I get quite angry at those who say low responders cant or dont get OHSS. Thats what I was told early on when I started having symptoms and was made to feel like an ass. The truth is that low respondes are unlikely candidates, but some of us like myslef, who are the unlucky few will defy the odds. I was also told my odds of multiples was very low too, and here I am with triplets at almost 39, so I dont think much of odds anymore  . Secondly , your E2 levels have more to do with OHSS then follie count from how I understand it, cause a woman can produce 20 follies but some of them can be immature eggs or empty follicles. The mature eggs in the follices drive the E2 level in simpler terms if I undertsand it correctly or partilaly. As the eggs mature the E2 goes up. But hteres also the case where you may be a high E2 producer as well. So , since you already triggered, time will only telll if you end up with OHSS. For me I had symptoms prior to trigger, after trigger , ER, and ET. It really kicked in around 7dp5dt, and my first sono at 5 weeks showed fluid throughtout my uterus, and abdomen. I gained allot of fluid weight, and although I didnt end up in the hospital, My RE was quite concerned and I think we were very close. Also keep in mind if you get pregnant that pregnacy hormones will help OHSS rear its ugly head. As much as I like my RE and am very grateful to them for helping me get pregnant, I feel I was poorly informed about OHSS and often ignored because my "Unlikey Status"...I do feel it could have been avoided without canceling my cycle since I didnt have a severe case and had I known what I could have done early on, I think it would have gone away quicker. So heres my advice:

If you start to feel really bloated, parched no mtter how much you drink, and your abdomen feels full like there is liquid in it, or just an overall hevy and vloated feeling...I suggest you increase your salt intake such as Campbells Chicken Noodle Soup, drink gatorade or Pedialyte, and start to eat allot of protein. The mistake I made early on was drinking more water with the hope that would get rid of the water I was retaining. It doesnt work like that when you have OHSS so throw that idea out the window, I think I mde myslef worse because I did that. The salt and extra protein will help absord the excess fluid your body is having a hard time ridding itslef of. If your urine get a dark color, call your RE immeidately. As I said, keep your RE informed of any discomfort or symptoms, if you get OHSS the best thing you can hope for is to nip it in the bud so it doesnt get out of control....I wouldnt wish any form of OHSS on my worst enemy...it really sucks....Just be careful hon, maybe you'll be the lucky ones!! But I just wanted to reach out so you know what to do and not left in the dark-

Good afternoon!

A quick update before I head to acupuncture.
The RE found a embryo measuring 6w2d...so I'm 9 days behind. He looked and looked and couldn't find a heartbeat. He was almost finished when he said that he saw a faint heartbeat and couldn't measure how fast it was.

Not the best news for sure but not the worst either. I'm going to hang on to every little glimpse of hope that I have. Last time we didn't even see the baby and now it was clearly visible. It's now a wait and see game and pray for the best. I'm going back on the 13th and have to be patient again for 11 more days. No appointments sooner.
My nurse was really nice and told me that it was encouraging news. She has seen pregnancies develop normally with a situation like mine, so has the RE.
I was crying before he started the US...I was so emotional.
I'm going to stare at that picture and talk to my beanie and encourage it as much as I can. This is definitely going to test my PMA and will have to stay strong.

I don't have any spotting whatsoever and that's really good. I'm eating everything that's not tied down, plus the pulls and twinges.

I'll do some personals later as I have to get going!!

Much love to all!
