Nine Weeks Today! Happy birthday twinny beans!
Firstly I'd just like to restate my twin names are a joke. Rabbit and Stu is because I want Spanish names and My DH wants English ones and in addition to that I used to be a veggie for 10 years, 2 of them while I was with my DH so we used to laugh that when we had kids we would have to have one each and mine would be a veggie!
So putting the two ideas together my twin (the good one who always sleeps and smiles) is called conejo "rabbit" and DH's one is called "stu" he only eats meat and will wake him up early on Saturday mornings LOL
Then DH said but what if they are gay? So we had a chat about it and decided we could call them Collin and Justin just in case; after two British interior designers who are always on the tv (you could google them if you so choose).
Then it got really silly and he said what if they want to become porn stars which is where Ron and Jeremy came from.
However we can't think of any silly girls names, can any of you help us out?
Sorry....
Any how.....
Pixie, Hi , Thanks Ha Ha well you've got to see the funny side! I haven't had any morning sickness thank goodness but I am rapidly turning into a curvy sex addict - hope the whole pregnancy is like this!
Apparently the reason we are all growing so much now is the amno fluid is starting to fill us up like a washing machine!
Pixie please don't be scared keep reminding yourself once they have found heartbeat our odds for going full term go up to 94% and this rises to 99% at 12 weeks.
PS
Twin mums I read last week that we are likely to give birth at 37 weeks and in only 10% of cases will we give birth before 34 weeks.
Non identical twins have longer pregnancy's than identical because they don't have to share a placenta and the main reason for going into labour early is the placenta drying out. So lets all drink loads!
Denise Your mum sounds like my dad's spanish family - they have load of superstitions LOL
When is your twin due date just worked out mine should now be Nov 14th.
Lola, Jes, Sarah Jaz and Tam good luck with scans this week will be thinking of you!
Classisa Yay welcome to our twin club that makes us 5/5. Welcome to your titchy biscuits!
Jes My mum had really bad moring sickness and my dad used to make her toast with a lilttle olive oil and fresh tomartos sliced on it and she said it really helped.
Tams Your mental health is completely normal and pre scan! It sounds like your symptoms are good - lots of women spot while they are pregnant. I think you are wise about the flight - you don't need extra stress. I reccommend you really pamper yourself this week! Lay in bed watch Bridget Jones, eat chocolate and drink lots of water. Listen to soothing music and walk along the beach (if pos). And make your DH stroke your feet the babies love it! It will be friday before you know it then you can relax. xxx
Kia Your right I was tiny....but now I am having to hide my belly from everyone we haven't told yet.
We had a very funny letter from our local NHS hospital on Sat saying Thank you for choosing our hospital (didn't know I had made a choice!) Congratulations on your pregnancy - here is a leaflet for you on Down Syndrome, a midwife will be doing a home visit on may 15th to discuss screening with you. Nice huh!
Steph Like you we haven't told everyone yet one close friend each and our parents and my sisters, but not their kids going to wait till 12 weeks then tell the world. Can't wait!
Don't think I am going to tell my brother till I see him in June as he is in Oz!
Denise I didn't know you had health problems. I am sorry to hear that. What is Vasovagal Syndrome?
Love to all of you xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
