Clarissa and Sokru8, congrats!!! On the scans!

Quita, you were so right and I was wrong, this group is looking like there are an even number of twins and singletons, how exctiting!

LolaJones, any word yet?

As for me, I told my job today. I felt it was important to say something sooner rather than later, especially with all of my health issues. I have scheduled an appointment with a cardiologist so, hoepfully, I will find a regualr Dr, for the vasovagal syndrome.

:D  :D Nine Weeks Today! Happy birthday twinny beans! :D

Firstly I'd just like to restate my twin names are a joke. Rabbit and Stu is because I want Spanish names and My DH wants English ones and in addition to that I used to be a veggie for 10 years, 2 of them while I was with my DH so we used to laugh that when we had kids we would have to have one each and mine would be a veggie!

So putting the two ideas together my twin (the good one who always sleeps and smiles) is called conejo "rabbit" and DH's one is called "stu" he only eats meat and will wake him up early on Saturday mornings LOL

Then DH said but what if they are gay? So we had a chat about it and decided we could call them Collin and Justin just in case; after two British interior designers who are always on the tv (you could google them if you so choose).

Then it got really silly and he said what if they want to become porn stars which is where Ron and Jeremy came from.

However we can't think of any silly girls names, can any of you help us out?

Sorry....

Any how.....

Pixie, Hi , Thanks Ha Ha well you've got to see the funny side! I haven't had any morning sickness thank goodness but I am rapidly turning into a curvy sex addict - hope the whole pregnancy is like this!

Apparently the reason we are all growing so much now is the amno fluid is starting to fill us up like a washing machine!

Pixie please don't be scared keep reminding yourself once they have found heartbeat our odds for going full term go up to 94% and this rises to 99% at 12 weeks.

PS Twin mums I read last week that we are likely to give birth at 37 weeks and in only 10% of cases will we give birth before 34 weeks.

Non identical twins have longer pregnancy's than identical because they don't have to share a placenta and the main reason for going into labour early is the placenta drying out. So lets all drink loads!

Denise Your mum sounds like my dad's spanish family - they have load of superstitions LOL

When is your twin due date just worked out mine should now be Nov 14th.

Lola, Jes, Sarah Jaz and Tam good luck with scans this week will be thinking of you!

Classisa Yay welcome to our twin club that makes us 5/5. Welcome to your titchy biscuits!

Jes My mum had really bad moring sickness and my dad used to make her toast with a lilttle olive oil and fresh tomartos sliced on it and she said it really helped.

Tams Your mental health is completely normal and pre scan! It sounds like your symptoms are good - lots of women spot while they are pregnant. I think you are wise about the flight - you don't need extra stress. I reccommend you really pamper yourself this week! Lay in bed watch Bridget Jones, eat chocolate and drink lots of water. Listen to soothing music and walk along the beach (if pos). And make your DH stroke your feet the babies love it! It will be friday before you know it then you can relax. xxx

Kia Your right I was tiny....but now I am having to hide my belly from everyone we haven't told yet.

We had a very funny letter from our local NHS hospital on Sat saying Thank you for choosing our hospital (didn't know I had made a choice!) Congratulations on your pregnancy - here is a leaflet for you on Down Syndrome, a midwife will be doing a home visit on may 15th to discuss screening with you. Nice huh!

Steph Like you we haven't told everyone yet one close friend each and our parents and my sisters, but not their kids going to wait till 12 weeks then tell the world. Can't wait!

Don't think I am going to tell my brother till I see him in June as he is in Oz!

Denise I didn't know you had health problems. I am sorry to hear that. What is Vasovagal Syndrome?

Love to all of you xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Hello Winter mums

Sorry I've been a bit quiet, lots to catch up on.
So pleased that everyone's getting good scan news, its so exciting! And so many twins - man oh man! Quita your twins/sex post cracked me up. Unfortunately, after the few days I've had, I think sex is off menu for the next billion years.

Had 2 bleeds on Sunday, so scary! I don't think I have ever bled that much, I was terrfied and felt for sure that I'd lost the bean. Anyway, to cut a long one short, scan yesterday showed Hercules the Warrior Embryo clinging on - 7mm and strong heartbeat! Also showed that I'm bleeding from outside the sac and there was a fair bit of blood in uterus but the cervix was closed. They told me that it could stop and then the clot will resolve or I will miscarry. They are re-scanning in a week. So I've been resting and the bleeding has stopped so far. I am exhausted and have a dozen new grey hairs. Anyway - finger crossed for hercules! He's the dude! I swear, I feel like I've been pregnant for a year, Can't believe its just 7 weeks!

Hope you're all well and embracing all your lovely symptoms

Lots of love
Lola

At how many weeks gestational did you all have your first ultrasound? I am hoping that somehow I can get the clinic to do an ultrasound tomorrow....If not, I am not sure how long I will have to wait. Tomorrow will be 20 days past 3day transfer... what should my HCG be? at 13 dp3dt it was 163....
I see lots of twins mommies here...wooohhhooo congrats!!!

Lolajones, I am sorry about the bleeding, but do not worry about it. It will all work out.

Quita, Vasovagal Syndrome is a condition where I have an extreme pain response. Instead of just feeling regular pain, my body makes me pass out by lowering my heart rate (after a few other things happen). The sad (or good) thing about it is that it manifests with me when my cervix is touched. For the most part, I have a high threshold for pain, but when it comes to my cervix, I am a mess. So with being pregnant, I am not sure how much it will manifest, but the sooner I get a cardiologist that I am working with, the better I will be if (when) it manifests again.

Jesjes, let us know how your scan goes...

I don't know why, but I am always nervous right before a scan or a blood test. The waiting... yikes, makes me crazy! Especially with my symptoms coming and going.

Does anyone feel like they are a little more snippy than normal? I just yelled at my assisitant (who doesn't know I am pregnant) and she is 7 mos pregnant.... everyone around couldn't believe I yelled at her bc she is pregnant. It was everything I could do not to yell well I am too!! Obvioiusly, we aren't telling anyone till we hit the 12 week mark. Seems so far away. Today I am 7 weeks 6 days... Tomorrow 8 weeks. YIPPEE!!

Lola, it sounds as though you're doing everything you can - keep those feet up and don't even think about going to work. I'm sure Hercules (you realise the name will stick!) warrior embie will hang on in there. A good friend of mine had bleeding on and off until after 8 weeks, she took herself to bed every time it happened and now has a very lovely little boy.

Quita thank you for your encouragement, I am feeling better mainly because I am feeling worse (ie getting a little queasy!) 6 weeks today - every week feels like a month, I'm certainly going to look about 50 by the time this little bean is born.

Jes, how was your scan? Thinking of you. SJ and Jazemine, scan buddies, how are you feeling? I am fairly aprehensive but looking forward to it. I am just hoping for a heartbeat, I will be 6 wks and 2 days so hopefully, all being well, they should see one.
Was sitting in the sun but thought I should come in and not get too hot - this is going to be a very long summer!

Hello Ladies,

I just got back my second beta! Here are my numbers:

13dp3dt 163
20dp3dt 1619

I go for the US next thursday May 10th,

The nurse said it looks like a singleton based on my numbers!
I also have a bladder infection! I have to take macroben for it...

Have any of you had close beta numbers to me, and are you having one or two babies???

Thanks,

Donna

Hi girls,

I had my first scan today....

Baby A measured 6w3d and had a heartbeat..which was the most amazing moment of my life to see that!

Baby B...well, there is a second sac but it did not show a heartbeat and was a little smaller than Baby A so we have to wait until next weeks scan to see if it catches up.

Anyone else have this issue with twins? The doctor seemed to think that next week we are going to see a heartbeat in it, he said it just could of implanted later than the other one.

So who knows what the heck is going on and now I get to stress until next wednesday to see if Baby B is viable or not. If not, we are still more than thrilled having one instead of 2.
Jessica

Jes- I am so excited for you! Don't worry because remember our goal is one, if we get 2 it's a bonus. I don't know if you remember the same thing happened to me. We saw 2 sacs at 5 weeks & one looked empty. A week later we had 2 hbs. I know mine was earlier but, my cousin goes to Dr Hickok too & is 2 days behind me, at her 6 weeks scan they didn't see a heartbeat & 4 days later there it was. I think Dr Hickok should be doing his us a little later so, people don't have to worry so much. I did worry about baby b a little but, I knew at 5 weeks it was to early to give up & at the next us baby b was the bigger baby with the higher hb. I am so happy for you. I can't believe all of these twins & everyone is doing so well. I still am not sick & that's the only thing still stressing me out. I also feel guilty when I eat junk.

Quita, I do drive, I get symptoms that make it really obvious that it is starting. (Thankfully)

Doddo72, I would guess that at 13dpo, those numbers might go either way. At 198, we are having 2, but I am not an expert.

JesJes, Wow, twins too!!! That is great! I would not worry too much, it is still early enough for B to catch up!
