Oh Stephanie, I'm so happy your scan went well today. I can feel your relief through the message. When do you go back for another one?

Wannabeone, I looked up 5th disease and I wouldn't worry toooo much about it also. I pray everything turns out just fine.

Rikirees, how are you doing? Are you busy reading books yet? I would probably still be in disbelief. I was watching Discovery channel show called Katie & Me makes 8, where a couple had sextuplets. It was unbelievable.

I called my regular OB to make an appt and they told me to come in next week. I was surprised since I haven't been officially released from my RE yet and have one more appt the following week. It will be nice if I can have a scan also.

wannabe: I hope everything turns out ok. I am sure it will.
StephanieD: Was that your first scan? We have heard tons of stories of people finding out it is more than one a little later down the road. It is always nice to hope we can kill a birds with one stone.
Thanks for asking mdterry. I am still a bit freaked out. I did go buy the usual book and one more about multiples. It is starting to freak me out. I am what I consider a small person (120lbs) and the though of having three or even four! I am honestly not sure my body can handle it. I have been getting sicker this week, not being able to keep much food down. I only want my babies to be healthy. We will know more after Tuesday's scan to see if sac 3's heartbeat is better. At first the dr thought sac 3 was empty but then after a few looks he found the heartbeat- though not as strong as sac 1 (identical twins) and sac 2.
I hope everyone else is doing well and yay it is almost JUNE. I know a lot of you out there are eagerly awaiting the first week of June for your next/first scans! Good luck:)

Well I couldn't take it anymore. I went to the clinic and asked for an ultrasound! ITS TWINS!!! I know it is still early but it is so exciting. I am still sitting here thinking OMG!!!! I can't believe it. Both babies heartbeats are about 150's-160's. The doctor said that everything looks really good. She said that both babies are just about to the 6 week mark. I got to see the little flicker of their heartbeats and I started crying....It was so amazing! I am soooo thrilled that I went in. I am still going in on Tuesday to check and make sure things are going good. That is fine by me. I don't mind seeing them again!!! I am still sitting here and I just can't believe it. I really can't!!!

I posted this post and my ultrasound pic at www.thejourneyforbaby.blogspot.com

I can't believe it! WOW!!!!!!!

Congratulations, Tanya! How many twins on our board? And how many singletons? It seems like lots of twins.

Another question - are any of you showing yet? Maybe the twins a little more. I'm showing all the food that I've been allowing myself, but not really a defined bump. I am busting out of some pants, but I really can't attribute it to the baby yet. I'm pretty unwilling to buy any maternity close until I hear about this stupid Fifths Disease (which incidentally will take up to a week b/c is sent to a send-out lab b/c it's a rare test), but some friends have lent me their clothing. I don't wear it around people that don't know, but I do around those that do.

My husband tells everyone that I am talking to my "friends" on the internet b/c he thinks the whole message board idea is kooky. Silly him.

Wannabe - I am having a singleton. It is funny I have gained NO weight---- and god knows I don't need to--- But my capris and some pants are a little tighter around my lower tummy. I put on a pair yesterday that was loose before this cycle and had to unbutton and unzip part way because they were uncomfortable. Not sure if anyone else is having it this early tho.. I do hope I'm not alone in that.

My hubby says silly things and at least I tell him that I am not overwhelming him with all the preggo talk! He just agree's and walks away because he knows that I am right! LOL Yes I am thick through the waist and I have been wearing maternity pants as they are much more comfy.

Steph
Thank you! You just might be right about that. You really might be. I am so thrilled and I feel like I have been blessed twice over!!! I am so excited. I know you are as well after seeing your u/s. Next week should be really good with the h/b!!!! Looking forward to hearing about it.

You are not alone on the clothes not fitting. I am right there with you. It is crazy! I can't believe it already!!!!

Hi Ladies

I've been out of the loop for a week since I've been with my family to help my Dad get some things in order as he had his final Chemo treatment Friday and now he has to let the cancer run it's course since it is too advanced. I'm so happy to hear all of the wonderful news on multiples and singletons. I had my 8 wk scan last Weds and our little beanie is almost an inch long and the hb was 169. We are thrilled. I've been released to my OB who I see on Jan 13 when I'm 10 weeks. I wish all of you the very best and will try to do personals when I have a chance. Take Care!

So sorry to hear about your father. It must be so hard to deal with all of that. It must be hard without being pg. You have a lot on your plate. Keep your chin up!!! Glad that you got to see your beanie!!!

Tanya, hey congrats on the twins, that is awesome news

Steph - I know its great to be finally on this side, although still holding off a bit until I know that all is ok with the scan on wednesday, but it is exciting though

Christine, really sorry to hear about your father, it must be comforting to be able to see little beanie.

Wannabeone - i def not showing yet, but boy have I expanded on the waist front - went shopping yesterday and everything I tried on in my normal size didn't do up - tis a good sign however does feel that I have been eating too many cookies (although I haven't honest!!) It won't be long til work colleagues start to figure it out.

i really hope you have nothing to worry about with this fifth's disease - I'm sure you will be ok - ((((big hugs))))

one more day to go for scan

Christine - my prayers are with you and your father that he'll be here to meet the new one.

Jackie - if work friends don't find out b/c of your growing waist - they'll figure it out b/c of your new wardrobe, right?

IS EVERYONE STILL TAKING PIO SHOTS? I STOPPED LAST WEEK AND MY BOOBS HAVE SHRUNK. ANYONE ELSE? I AM TAKING THE PROGESTERONE SUPPOSITORIES. THOSE ARE FUN.

ChristineB- I hope you are holding up ok. My thoughts are with you.
TransR- CONGRATS on the twins. It is so exciting to see them on the screen for the first time.
Wannabe- you have been in my thoughts for a negative test result. I know everything will be ok. When do you get the results?
I went the Dr. today. I was really hoping to get a more definite number in there and am still kinda left in the dark. Sac 3, which last week had a faint HB now has a strong HB right at where it is supposed to be. Sac 2 was doing well and developing right at the 7 week mark also. As for Sac 1, it had one really strong HB and another a bit weaker- but after last week I have learned my lesson. So alas I still have to wait longer to find out what is going on in there! Dr. referred me to a Perinatologist and started to lower all my doses of estrogen and Prog. I guess it is only 3 more weeks before I am released to the OB. Seems so soon! I am not really "showing" but I did have to get some loose yoga style pants to accomodate my growing waistline.
Hope all is well with everyone else.
