Hello All

I am sorry for the delay is checking in, but the schedule got really chaotic!

Colleen - Keep sticking with it. Like you, I was constantly going because she was having trouble fitting into the schedule. However, she finally got really settled in about a week ago. Unfortunately, due to my class, the cub scouts meeting, the boy scout meetings, preparing my lesson plans for the class I am giving on Nov 3rd, and preparing for our Halloween Party (we have about 50 - 60 people coming), I have been really busy. On the good side, she is dealing great with everything now. She is starting to sleep about 5-6 hour stretches at night. During the day, she takes two naps and we clean the house while she wanders in her walker (yes she walks backwards). The schedule helps her know what is coming and she is less anxious.

Kim - I am still swaddling Makayla in the Kiddapatomus products. She sleeps longer and better in that than in the sleep sacks. As for the exercisers, they will get used to them. If one doesn't like it, wait a few days and re-introduce it again. They will likely be more interested then if you keep trying over and over again.

CasyP - It will happen! Sleep is one thing I am okay without, but after a few days it does get rough. I am glad to hear you are doing good.

Tasha - Be careful! That must have been a really scary episode. Audrey sounds wonderful and happy. I am glad you are getting some rest though. Try not to overload yourself (like I can talk).

Nicola - Love st you! I hope you are doing well. We do not get to see you very often. I am sorry I missed you. Enjoy your little trip. It will really rejuvenate you!

JECK!
My dear friend! I am so very happy for you! What name are you changing to? I am thrilled to hear of his coming out at the church. I have looked at you blog and I am really impressed. How is your schedule with Jaden? Is he keeping you moving? He is so very handsome and happy. I hope he stays that way. If he does, you will have your hands full with all the girls that go looking for him!

Makayla is doing okay. She weighed 13.5 lbs at her 4 month check up and was 25 inches long. She got a load of shots and her ears pierced. She is eating her cereals good and now she is starting on the veggies and fruits. She is constantly wanting attention and she gets it! All my cub/boy scout friends spoil her rotten! I have not had time to take many pictures, but I will try harder. I love you all and I will try to check in more frequently.

Jeck, yeah, it's natural. Of course, we all want what we can't have. I would LOVE to have straight hair! Before the babies, I would often use a straightener on my hair. Not these days though--no time!

Racheal--I'm glad Makayla is getting better at her schedule! Ears pierced already? Wow! I bet she looks adorable...my kids lOVE the exersaucer now. It's really funny, they are such a stereotypical boy and girl. Braeden bounces like crazy in it, and Ellie is all enthralled and dainty with the colorful pieces and the music. Go figure!

Good Morning Girls-

Kim- your family is so cute.... I just loved the pictures! It's always good to put a face with the name. That's great that the twins love their exersaucer... I love it because it allows me to dome more things around the house... Aubrey can sit in hers for a good 20-30 minutes before she gets bored.

Jeck- well it sounds like Jaden is doing very well in his new home, you must be so excited. Also I'm sure his boo boo will be the first of many - the joys of walking...

Rachael- I'm so happy to hear things are going better for you & Makayla.... talking about ears pierced - we're actually taking Aubrey to get hers done this Saturday. We're going to have them pierced w/ her birth stone, which is Emerald. Now there should be no reason people mistake her for a little boy after she gets her earrings....

As for us we're doing good... My DH is actually off tomorrow so he's staying home to watch Aubrey - and then there going to come and meet me for lunch. My work is so excited they get to see her tomorrow... Then we're both off next Wednesday for Halloween - time to go trick-or-treating! Speaking of Halloween - what are all the little ones going to be? Aubrey is a Lady Bug!!!!!

Chat w/ you soon,
Tasha

TAsha--How was Aubrey's first halloween? Did you actually trick or treat with her? I had the kids dressed in their Buckeye gear (I'll have to post pics soon). However, they napped through part of trick or treat, and then Ellie got sick all over her cheerleader outfit. So, Braeden and I handed out candy, while DH stayed inside with Ellie. Thank goodness we had at least shown the neighbors their outfits earlier in the afternoon--or they would have been extremely disappointed. I had to stay home from work with the babies today since Ellie's sicky poo.

i hope the rest of you are well. I'd love to see Halloween pics!

Has anyone heard from Nance? I was thinking about her the other day...Nance, if you're still reading, update us!

Good Afternoon Girls-

Well I hope everyone had a wonderful Halloween.... I know we did!

Aubrey actually started out the day at the doctor for her 5 month checkup (I can't believe she is 5 months already). She is weighing in at 16lbs. 7oz. and 26 1/2 inches long... perfect size. The doctor has given us the go ahead to start cereal & fruits/veggies - so we're going to try tonight. Then we stopped at Grandma's work to see everyone and then headed to Daddy's work... everyone just loved her. Then we went Trick-or-Treating by Grandma & Grandpa's house (where I grew up). We were out and about for 2 hours - Aubrey slept through about an hour of it... but she got some great candy!

I'll try and post some pictures on photobucket tonight!

Kim- I hope Ellie gets better real soon....

Nicola- I'm right with you in regards to X-Mas... I can't wait. However, I'm excited about Thanksgiving too - Aubrey already has a cute little Thanksgiving Day outfit. Plus we're going for our Holiday Pictures Nov. 26th!

Well I hope everyone is doing well.. check in with us when you can

hi there girls... we are good, and we also had a good halloween... gavin liked it and was awake the whole time.... he did get a bit fussy when it got really windy, and cold.. thank goodness that his costume was really warm... but it was a really cold wind.. we also started pruns yeaterday (his treat)... we are still working on getting his tummy on a schedule along with him on a schedule.. he is still having the constipation issues.. it was 5 days since his last BM (sorry if it's TMI).. I do say that he has loved food from the get-go, so he just gobbled the pruns up... now if only we can get him to take a bottle or cup...

kim- hope that ellie is bettter... it sucks when they are sick!!

tasha&nicola- i'm there with you both on thye christmas thing... i was actually thinking of getting DH out to put the lights on the house while it's still mild out... otherwise he is climbing on the roof in the freezing cold, and sometimes snow... we would not turn them on, but to have them up would save time... i know that he'll say no, because "it part of the tradition to freeze your butt off putting the light out" The stores have the christmas stuff out, and i'm looking for a stocking for Gavin allready.. i'm into snowman, so looking for somthing cool, snowmanish...

but one of the biggest things i'm looking foward to is shopping the day after thanksgiving.... i love it, and usually shop from 5:00am-late into the night... i have to have gavin on a bottle or something.... as it is, i think that i'll be making pit stops home to feed or pump... DH usually has the kids all day!! and this will be the frist time i make stops at home during the day.. i usually come home with my car (well minivan) loaded!! and i finfish so much shopping... and shop for me too.. there are some GREAT deals... CALL ME CRAZY, but i'm sure someone else likes it too??

i'm going to try and post some photos...have a great day!!

Hello All

Halloween was great! We had our cub scout party on Tuesday. Makayla was an Indian Princess (just like mommy). We ate loads of food and play tons of games. Then on Wednesday we prepared and pulled off a party with 32 children (a total of about 56 people). I made homemade chicken wings, biscuits, jello worm desert, pumpkin bread, and biscuit dogs. We also had vampire blood punch and loads of candy. We also had a haunted house (for kids not adults). The party was a huge success and when everyon left, I was so tired that Makayla and I slept in the recliner! The boys were jedis and Makayla was a cowgirl (it's a Texas thing). Well, I am now trying to get everything ready for my classes that are tomorrow. I am teaching two sessions and I will be the student for three more. I am very excited because I am teaching Litter to Glitter. I love crafts and games, but if I can tie it into the recycling and environment thing, I am in heaven. This is the first time I have taught at a District level training. This is a big deal to me. I will write once things calm down! Love to all!

Hey gals, I guess I need to check the bucket! I'll try to post pics this weekend.

Racheal, it sounds like you're back to your "busy bee" mode! I am still so amazed by all that you do! I bet Makayla was precious as a cowgirl!

We've had a rough few days. Who knew a cold could be such a PAIN!!! Ellie's been a good sport, considering that she can't breath very well, she's not eating much at all, and that she pretty much missed all the Halloween fun. To add to the fun, we had our 4 month check up today (yes, a couple weeks late...), which means we had vaccines! :( :( :( Both babies took it much, much harder than last time. To add to the suffering, Ellie had to have wax scraped out of her ear canal, so the doctor could ensure she didn't have an ear infection too. (I guess she has a small ear canal. Didn't even know that could be an issue! :? ) So, both babies screamed the place down. To make matters worse, I had to go to work right after we got the kids home (and grandma was babysitting). Needless to say, I was emotionally wracked by this point and just broke down once I got to work. My poor principal didn't know what to do with me! Luckily, we didn't have students today, just meetings. So, I was able to take some time to just decompress before being bored at all the endless meetings.

Can someone say liquor , stat?

Anyway, I'm hoping for a much much better weekend.

g'night!

Good Evening Everyone...

Kim- sorry to hear that the twins are sick... you definitely have your hands full and I give you credit for being such a good mommy! Hopefully you can get them better very soon...

How is everyone else doing? Still no word from Cowgirl.... I hope everything is ok.

Well we're doing good except I think the time change (day light savings) messed up Aubrey's schedule a bit today... hopefully she'll be ok tonight and continue to sleep like a champ. So I finally bought her X-Mas outfit... Babies-R-Us had this adorable red velvet dress w/ white fur trim on it... so cute. Now to just find shirts for the rest of us.

Well I hope everyone is doing well.

It's been quiet over here!

Ellie and Braeden are on the mend...thank GOD!!!!

TAsha--sorry to hear the time change threw her off schedule...is she back on track?

I've got to ask about naps...my two tend to still take several short naps during the day. They do sleep through the night. I'd like to start keeping them up more during the day, so they take a couple of longer naps--like one in the am and one in the pm. Any advice? It just seems that after 1 1/2 or 2 hours, mine are done. But then they only nap for about 40 minutes. ?????

Kim,

I have the same situation with Makayla. One to two hours and she requires her nap. I have on occasion stretched her out, but it is always alot of work and she is really cranky for the majority of the day. Although, when we are outside (like at the park or mall) she last longer and stays in a good mood. I do not know if we should force them too much. I mostly try to keep her on a set series instead of the schedule. For example, when she wakes up in the morning, DH plays with her for a little while (while I get the boys dressed). Then we let DH take a shower and I take her to the kitchen to make breakfast. DH leaves and Makayla and I go watch a little TV and play in the playmat. Then she eats and takes a nap. This way she has a set schedule without the time constraints. She gets to make the schedule with a little flexibility for odd days.

Tasha - I bought Makayla's dress too. We even had some pictures taken as well! We had a hard photo shot. Makayla melted down and refused to smile. So we got the serious pictures instead. We are going to try again once the BlueBonnets bloom in April.

Colleen - I hope all it well with you. I am getting excited about Christmas. It will be a light one, but a really fun one!

I have to run. Love to all the little angels we all worked so very hard for!

Hi RAcheal--Love the family photo. Sorry that Makayla was being tough. I have to schedule our 6 month pics soon, so I can get them out in time for christmass! Well, it's good to hear that I'm not alone. I'll just keep plugging away. I did separate the kids into their own cribs this weekend. I was sad about it (cause I love to see them hold hands, etc.), but it DID help them nap better!

How's everyone else doing?
