Hello ladies!! There are so many people here now that it is great - just hard to do personals - Tali - way to go with addressing everyone!!

CT_Michele - looks like you will be first - so exciting!

They tentatively told me my ER would be 12/9-12/11, but I have a feeling it will be a few days later, though should still happen next week. I went again this morning for blood and scan and have a good amount of follicles (I have PCOS which is the reason for that) and they have grown, just not really fast. The u/s tech said I am on track because they don't like to see them grow too fast - who knows! They are upping my stims a bit for the next 2 days and I go back on Friday - they only give me medicine for 2 days at a time and then adjust based on the tests.

Angel - I have not done intramuscular shots yet - that will come with the hcg and progesterone in oil for me - something to look forward to! But I have to say my last 2 shots have hurt me too - I still feel the one from 2 days ago. I am trying to alternate sides and tummy/leg to minimize the pain - also trying to alternate arms for bw!

Other than that I feel pretty good - a little tired but no big mood swings (knock on wood) - although I got teary at a re-run of Scrubs last night when one of the nurses got to tell all her friends she was pregnant!! Acupuncture helps - she told me I was very "yin" - which she says is how you want to be through this whole thing!

Hope everyone else is doing well and thinking lots of good baby thoughts for all!!!

hi, just to chime in about vitamins and diet -- my RE has me on folic acid, magnesium & vitamin E. He said it was my choice as to whether I wanted to add an additional prenatal vitamin. It couldn't hurt, he said. Among other things, he advises no artificial sweetners or fried foods and to stop high impact exercising once stimms begin and to drink 2-3 liters per day of water throughout the cycle...
every doctor is different and each one of us are different - so, like someone already said, listen to your body and try to eat a sensible, healthy, balanced diet, stay relaxed and keep stress to a minimum as much as possible and think pregnant thoughts!

sending lots of baby dust and pma to all of you lovely ladies!

Hello all!

I went for my 2nd ultrasound and blood today. Everything is going fantastic. Atleast still 11 follies and they are growing. I had one that was 16mm and the rest are between 11 and 14mm. They gave me an injection of ganerelix (the one to prevent release) this morning. They told me to continue adding the ganerelix to my stims and I will return to see them on friday morning. Has anyone taken ganerelix before? The shot this morning was pretty painful and I think this is the med in my IVF book that claimed to have side effects of mood swings and crying. Just curious.

If all continues as planned, I should be all set for ER on Monday or Tuesday. I am nervous but soooo excited. They said I will know more about the exact date of ER when I go for testing on friday.

Thank you all for being so warm amd welcoming! It is nice to know there are people to talk to about this stuff. This is so new to me and pretty uncomfortable to talk about with people who have no idea what it is all about.

hello--
Well went had an appt with Re and CRNP to sign all consents for IVF. Its was kinda weird talking about what to do with the frozen embryos if we dont need them...my husband and I actually argued about it when we first talked about it...i guess thats kinda a personal thing to talk about with some people becasue of religion. anyway, we have a trial transfer scheduled for Dec 21. I'll also have me injection classes that day. I'm really not looking forward to this ultrasound with full bladder...I have a very weak bladder! Anyway, the good news today was the FET only cost 4,000! that was very exciting for us. 12,000 the frist cycle, but I had no idea it was that much cheaper if you get decent frozen embryos! So that was good news since my estrogen kicked me out of the shard risk program.

Tali--yeah looks like we are exactly the same day! I have ER sch for jan 18th and transfer the 23rdish. Are you doing 3 or 5 day transfer?

Pumma-- 96....see thats what mine was also..but they said that was high. My CRNP thinks that my BCP will lower it, so I will retest on Day 3. I guess 96 is good for you if it was at 300! So thats great...let me know what you next test is. I stopped BCP today, so I am expecting AF this weekend so I should be able to retest next week.

Michele--good luck! looks like you are the first to go!

Hi Ladies,

Not feeling too well for the past couple of days. Just stopped in to say a quick Hi to everyone and welcome to all the newbies.

Dexter - Thanks so much for thinking of me. Ladies, Dexter is a true inspiration to us all. She recently got her BFP! Go to the General forum and read up on her when you can.

CT_Michele - Never taken ganerelix before. I'm sorry it was painful, know that feeling all too well. I guess it works like the lupron to prevent ovulation. Sounds like you are responding very well!

LB - Sounds like we are in the same boat, I have PCOS too. I heard that song too, slow and steady is the way. I'll find out Friday so, will let you know

ANGEL505 - So sorry about those shots. You have the right frame of mind, NO MORE STIMMS after retreival.....can't wait for that :D

Tali - Stims are still sucky and after this post, I am off to bed. Hope you are doing well, I think I'm just being a big wussie :P !

PummA - So glad you made it home safe after the storm. I heard your area got slammed. How did the b/w and u/s go today? Wow, your ER is that close. I'm sending tons of Baby Dust your way. I know you will do just fine!

Heading off to be, feel very dizzy. Wishing everyone much love and tons of baby dust!

Hello ladies,

Sorry, no time for personals today. The last few days were fairly relaxed at work, and then BOOM!! Suddenly today everyone decides to get everything. The clients, my boss……its driving me insane. Its not the right time for stress, but hey!

I don't think I'll be able to get online for a few days. Have my scan tomorrow. Please let there be lots of follies growing. Apart from the tiredness I haven't had anything else, and I was worried that maybe the medication is not taking effect. I've heard a lot of women talk about headaches, joint aches…etc.

On another note, we've booked oursleves on a last minute trip. We have a Christmas wedding in the family and we thought we'll join them. It will be during the much dreaded 2ww. But with all the stress and the roller coaster ride we have been through this year, we thought that was a good idea to unwind. Hopefully I'll be able to just enjoy myself and not worry about things.

Lots of love and hugs to you all. Best of luck to all of you. And hopefully we see loads of BFP on this thread. Have a lovely Christmas.

I'll try and check up on you at the very least.

Hi Ladies,

Hope everyone is doing well.. No time for personals, but wanted to write a quick reply to CTMichelle. I think we are on the same protocol. I am going to be on antagon (I am not sure if that is the name of the brand or the actual drug). They switched me to that for this cycle because I responded poorly with a lupron protocol. It is so exiciting that you are having such a good response. I am sorry the shots hurt, my nurse told me that I would not have to take more than 3-4 of the antagon.

Anyway, wanted to send you lots of big follicle vibes...

Hope eveyone is doing great. I have friends in town over the weekend, so I won't be able to check in, but can't wait to hear all the updates next week. Have a great weekend!

:D

Hello everyone!

I found out more about the ganerelix. It is taken instead of Lupron. I guess you start lupron a few days before stopping BCP and it puts the ovaries "to sleep" if you will. The ganerelix works the same, but you don't start taking it until you have follies over 14mm. The ganerelix prevents ovulations from occuring.

Tali- When is your ER? Hopefully the ganerelix will be better for you than the lupron. The clinic I go to uses it as their regular. The shot stings a little and last night after taking it, the injection spot was so itchy and uncomfortable, but it only lasted for about an hour. Today I woke up with a killer headache and stomach not so good, but it is really nothing I can't handle. I just keep telling myself....it will all be worth it!

I am excited about tomorrow since I should find out more about my ER date! I will be sure to keep everyone updated. Have a great day!

Hi everyone,

I don't have much time right now...this weekend I'll get to updating our list of dates. It's been hectic lately, with work, school, and being involved with some issues on my campus, as if I didn't have enough I volunteer to add more to my week

Anyway, here is the old list with a couple of updates for now. I don't take offense if other folks copy/paste it and/or modify it. It's all good! we are here to create community.

Lots of luv to all my ladies AND happy Chanukah for those who celebrate it.

Hi! I'm new and in the middle of my first IVF cycle. Well, maybe not the middle. I've been stimming for 11 days and I'll do it again tonight and probably tomorrow. I might have ER scheduled for Sunday or Monday. It's pretty stressful because I never wanted children until last fall and I'm 42 right now, so although I don't have a lot of follies, right now I have enough to go ahead. The RE just wants me to do another day or two to get some more growing.

It will take me forever to catch up and figure out who's who!

Anyway, blessings and baby dust!

Hi Ladies, today is my 4th day of stimulating with Puregon, my dosage is 225IU. I used the 900IU so the caridge should have been empty but when I took it out I noticed there is some meds left and I am worried sick just in case it marks up the treatment. I know I will worry all night and I don't need stress at this stage.

My question is did anyone had the same experience and everything was fine? I will go scan 2moro and am scared whether to mention to the nurse or not. I think what I did wrong was not priming the needle b4 injecting.

Hope everything goes on well.
Praying and wishing BFP to everyone.

Good Evening to all!

Wunnam- I am not taking the same stims as you, I am taking follistim. But it also uses cartridges with similar units. The dr's office told me that they overfill them by atleast 50iu's, sometimes more. Every cartridge I have finished has had a little bit still left in it, and everything is progressing fine with me, so I wouldn't worry too much.

Today was my roughest day yet, especially the bloating. It seems as though I am getting more and more bloated by the hour. I asked the dr and they said I could not take anything for headaches or bloating except tylenol. Does anyone have any tricks for reducing the discomfort? If not, it is going to be a long weekend!

End of the week and I couldn't be happier!! Hope this find everyone well.

Went for another scan today - at least 12 follicles measuring between 12 and 18mm - so definitely progressing! Hellokitty - they said with PCOS they need to be very careful with overstimulation which is why it is more slow and steady than large doses for quick stim.

CT_Michele - I definitely hear you on the bloating. I keep telling my husband I am very aware of my enlarged ovaries!! They don't hurt, just general discomfort in the lower abdomen, even when I walk! The u/s was even more uncomfortable than normal - I just keep thinking that is a good thing at this point!

I go again tomorrow, so hopefully will soon know the ER date for sure!!

Have a great weekend everyone and much baby dust to all!!!
