Hi Shari & ladies,
I read on another thread that you're having arm weakness? I've never heard about that one, but I have overall weakness. I guess it's more like extreme fatigue.
I don't have to have a 4th beta & to tell you the truth, I'm very grateful. I don't have to go to the MD at all until Jan2. Because it's so early in the pregnancy, I'm still in a "cautiously optimistic" mode. I'm not thinking about baby names or anything like that yet. I'm expecting everything to be alright, but I just can't let myself get too excited yet. My DH is -he's a more optimistic person than I am.
I'm glad you've had a nice weekend. We've had a relaxing weekend too, which is nice because next weekend will be crazy with traveling to my parents then his parents for the holidays.
Fiona, I hope all your fears are relieved with your scan tom.
Take care,
Rebecca

Rebecca-
Yeah, the weak arms IS quite strange. And this morning, they were really achey, like a charlie-horse feeling, but in my arms. Well, noone answered my question on this forum, so looks like I'm the only one  . I've also been feeling REALLY weak and dizzy at times. As long as it results in healthy little one(s), it's all very much worth it :)

Glad you're able to relax from now 'til Jan. 2. You have absolutely the right attitude. Good for you! Be well, and enjoy your break!

Shari,
Just a few hours after I wrote that I haven't heard about arm weakness, I experienced some of that myself. I went out to do some Christmas shopping & I had to carry a couple of small toys & my coat around for a while -maybe about 30 minutes. By the time I got to the register to pay my arms were throbbing as if I'd been carrying around heavy weights and they are still weak and shaky feeling. Weird, huh? I think I contribute it to the overall weakness/fatigue I'm feeling.
anyway I'd thought you'd find that interesting.
Talk to you later,
Rebecca

Rebecca,
Goodness, I hope I didn't psych you into arm weakness! I actually felt better this morning, after getting a good night's sleep finally. I read what you wrote to Tali, re: hearing baby news. I wholeheartedly agree with your attitude! There were times I must admit I slipped up and got down after hearing good news about someone ELSE's pregnancy. Just wanted you to know I think you are so right on.

Wishing you and all ladies out there health, easy pregnancies/bfp's, and healthy babies :D

Hi Ladies,
I hope everyone is doing well. Our thread has quieted down now that our 2WW's are over. Fiona & Shari -I hope you got good news with your latest tests.
I jumped over to the Bump Buddies Aug 2008 thread. I was a little afraid to since it's so early & I don't want to jinx things, then I thought once again "pregnant until proven otherwise!"
I really don't have much to report. Still sleepy all the time, occasional mild heartburn/nausea. I thought I'd somehow "feel" pregnant, but I just feel like I need a good nap.
Again, how everyone is doing well. :)

Rebecca and Ladies,
Thanks for inquiring about my beta. It went up 74% (4th beta), and was 16,071 at last reading. At first I was concerned that it didn't double, but then I read on a few sites that by the 6th to 7th week it could take as long as 96 hours to double. So I'm a bit calmer now that I read that. I have my first ultrasound scan this sunday, Dec. 24th. I'm anxious, and also reallly trying to put it out of my mind until then. I'm having similar symptoms, re: fatigue and mild nausea/dizzyness which comes and goes. I also have sore breasts with definite dark/veiny patches in places. I am going NUTS not talking about all this to my friends. I told my best friend, but other than that, I've been pretty much avoiding people, and will keep avoiding them the next one and half months  .

Hope everyone is well. Rest and feel good!

Hi ladies,

I haven't posted in a few weeks, but have been reading everyones posts and trying to stay on top of everything....we all seem to be doing great :)!

We just got back from our first U/S - it's TWINS :)! We are so excited and DH was almost of the brink of tears....everyone is measuring appropriately so we are good to go for now. Our miscarriage rate has dropped to 10% and that make me elated!!!!

spreading good vibes to everyone!!!!!

LeeAnne-
Congratulations! That is so wonderful! I am sure that you couldn't have asked for a better 1st U/S result :) :) :) . Can I ask what your beta numbers were? I am having my U/S this sunday, and looking forward to it with nervous optimism.

Enjoy your wonderful pregnancy. I am really so happy for you.

Hey Shari,

Absolutely...my betas were: 488, 1401, 4100....but when I was in the waiting room yesterday one lady waiting told me they were expecting twins and her highest beta was 1700......so I'm lost when it comes to these numbers predicting multiples.

I hope this helps :)!

Congratulations LeeAnne!!!!! :D :D :D
That's such great news! I'm a little jealous -I don't have my first U/S until Jan2.
It sounds like you & your DH will make wonderful parents.
Where did you find the info on miscarriage rate?

Hi Rebecca!

Our Doctor told us at 6 weeks the % went to 10 and at 8 weeks it went to 5 so we were both sighing a huge relief.

When they put the microphone right on the babies and you hear their heatbeats everything becomes really real :)!

LeeAnne-
Thank you for that reassuring info re:M/C. Most of the info I get from the internet is panic-inducing.

2nd Timer-
Hang in there! Jan. 2 will come soon enough. Just think that by then, there will be more 'information', baby-wise, than there is now.

Well, I have this mild yet constant nausea thing goin' on, and am QUITE bloated to boot. Also, I've been taking naps where I sleep for 3-4 hours at a time, and the best part is I don't feel at all guilty!

Be well ladies!
