Praying for a miracle baby to stay with us!

Hi girls,
just got back form the doctor.Unfortunately,I have bad news-one baby's heart stopped they say about 24 hours ago. My fears were real,I had this dream(that nurse telling me-you have only one baby now) and this feeling that something is not right a few days ago.Again, the same time as last year.
I'm just terrified now, absolutely frozen.Even the doctor tried to convince me that the second baby doing well,I don't know what to feel and think. He said it shouldn't affect the other baby, but I don't know how it can't.
Did anybody hear about this before?

oh Marina- I am so sorry to hear about the one twin but so happy the other one is doing fine. From what I know it is only a problem is they share a placenta. Which your babies did not right? Anyway did they give you any ideas as to what they think happened? How do they know it was about 24 hrs ago? Sorry for all the questions, I just can't believe that happened. I am in complete shock. I am praying for you and your other baby to make it safely to delivery!

I am so sorry. I know how worried you were about coming up to this timeframe. Did they offer any explaination? My prayers will be with you and your little one.
Melmar,
what a hard road you have to travel. You are in my prayers also.
Lisa,
I am into my 4th week back to work. I went to work this morning , called doc ofc and took both girls because they have been sick since last week. Went back to work only to have to leave 2 hrs later. My MIL called, still couldn't get Cara to take a bottle even with breastmilk in it. So since I didn't want her to get dehydrated and my boobs have to travel with me....I am home with her and Callie now. Callie has broncitis (sp?) and is now on meds. I am going to try and get Cara to take a bottle of breastmilk from me later, because she was taking the bottle fine before getting sick. I don't have alot of paid days left and am stressing about being off work and Cara refusing to take a bottle. So I totally understand you dreading going back to work....its so much easier when you are home with them.

Lyly, they have no idea why. They think not more then 24 hours because the this baby the same size as the other one and doctor said it doesn't have water around it yet(I don't really know what this mean)
He also said that yes, because they have a separate placentas, the chances are good.Well,I just dont know,I'm terrified.I don't believe in statistics,it's nothing to me.

Marina,
So you know have only one baby now? Sorry to hear about you loss. I will be praying for you and those lil ones. Be strong!
Ronda,
Wow so both of your daughters are sick I am sorry to hear that. My trwo kids we sick aswell. The both got an ear infection. My oldest recuperated very fast and my lil one finished his first antibiotic and still had an ear infection so the doctor gave him a stronger one and then got an allergic reaction to it he got a bad rash. Thank god he is now feeling way better the rash is going away.
But when he got sick last week he didn't want to eat anything like for 7 days I am feeding his regular milk now and ever since he got sick he didn't want to drink his milk he wanted to be drinking liquids only that was about it. So I got worry and the doctor said it was normal it's like when we get sick we don't want to eat anything that is the same wasy with babies and she said not to worry he will go back to it once he felt better. So for those days I went back and gave him formula he liked it and was on formula for 2 days until we started giving him regular milk again he took it again. So it is just time we need to let them feel better it;s not easy being sick so it is normal it happen to my lil one aswell.
Mairna - I am so sorry you have to go through this. As I posted on your other thread I think it will just stay there wrapped in its sack until you deliver the other one. I think at this stage it should not cause any other complications but I can understand how nervous you are. When do you go for another scan?
Melissa - I hope you get things all sorted out this week. What a roller coaster you have been on. I hope everything goes smoothly over the next few days.
Ronda and Lili sorry to hear your kids have been sick. I am very lucky with my kids as they very rarely get sick. I am kind of the food police though and they have very healthy diets and I believe this makes a big difference. Anyway, I hope they are feeling better soon.
Thanks Jamie, this is what the doctor says, but it's only if they don't have the same problem. And we still dont know if they were identical, which increses the risk of losing another one. They told me I can come any time-tomorrow,next couple of days just to see how the other baby.Officially they are going to see me every week now until it more clear. They say it's the next few days-week that is critical and if something going to happen,it's in the next few days.
We a re just praying and hoping for the little one to stay with us.

oh Marina! My heart just goes out to you...STAY positive, STAY positive, STAY positive. It's actually a good that they are not identical, they have separate placentas so they should be independent of each other in terms of events...please stay strong for the remaining baby...
Marina, we are praying for you. I was terrified most of my pregnancy that little Paul wouldn't stay with us. We always called him "little one" as he was always smaller and behind. Starting with the enlarged Yolk Sac and then the only having two vessels to the umbilical cord. They always said it was a possibility that he would have abnomalities and could stop growing altogether. I hope everything will be okay honey. I know it is hard to keep the faith but honestly, that is the only thing that got us through it.
Paul had a visit with the pediatric cardiologist today to check on a VSD...a little hole that needed to close on his heart. Thankfully it did and his echo was good and all of the listening to his heart too. He is a little pudge weighing in at 14lb. 8.5 oz. lol
They are both doing so well with their feeds and sleeping through the night, I can't believe it. If we feed them @ 1 am. They have been sleeping until @ 7. Today they didn't wake until almost 7:30. I am so glad they are starting this now so I can get them into a good schedule before I go back to work.
I am trying to enjoy the next month though I know it will go fast.
Ronda and Lili, I hope your little ones are feeling better.
Lyl and Jamie and Melissa, thinking of you preggos and sending prayers your way every day.
Marina I am so pleased the doctor said it was OK to go in when every you like over the next few days. You need to do this for your peace of mind. I agree with the others. . . STAY POSITIVE . . . I know it is really hard but you need to try your best to be as positive as possible. Sending pots of positive vibes your way.

I would LOVE to be able to meet everyone of you courageous ladies (with the exception of Ronda, b/c I'm blessed to see her pretty face every day!). You guys give me hope.
