yeah spoke to my nurse .. she calmed me down ..she exactly told me the same thing that you said "you are making far more eggs than u normally do so the pressure is becuase of that " said cervical mucus is completely normal ..I'll find out the sizes tom ...lets hope everything is fine..
yeah I know what you are saying and i also tell this to myself but when something comes up I panick and start assuming things in my head ...
mannn I think i'll go nuts by the end of this procedure...BTW I am also having a lot of mood swings these day

HI All -
Well it's been a tough few days. Went for us & bw yesterday. Only 3 follies mature. Others seemed to stop growing at 11 mm and under. One was so large that they originally thought they would let over mature so that the others would catch up. But they didn't!
After a long conversation yesterday with my doc, she decided to cancel the IVF cycle. As you can all imagine, its totally devatsting. So I'm going for an IUI tomorrow. I'll try to stay positive, but I have had 6 failed IUIs.

mom2luke - did you have your ET? how did it go?

Hey guys - ER this morning - they got 13 eggs, not sure how many were mature, but will get a fertilization report tomorrow. Scheduled for a Sunday am 5-day transfer, so I guess we are being optimisitc.

SarahD - I'm really sorry to hear you aren't making it through a full IVF cycle - I will be keeping you in my prayers this week.

estrellita and faith - how is your week going? any updates on ER/ET?

I'm kind of sore, but not as bad as I thought I would be. I'm planning at being back to work tomorrow. They put in a cervical stitch to make ET go smoother.

I'm tired, back to the couch and perhaps another pain pill.

SarahD , i am so sorry about the stopped IVF cycle. I will keep my fingers crossed for your IUI.

Its funny b/c i hear all of you guys talk about follicle sizes and stuff and my doc/nurse don't say anything about that. So i don't know what i have. i just know that I am on track with anything. I go back on thurs for monitoring, so i will try to get some info then.
Shots are going good for now. No real symptoms. Bloated but thats about it, I know its early though.

sara D--i am so sorry your IVF was stopped!! that must be heartbreaking.

my ET is tommorrow and i am so nervous i am making myself nauseous! i'm not really sure why i'm so nervous? i just got back from dinner with friends and need to go to bed so i can sleep through this. i'll let you know how it goes tommorrow night.

Sarah , I am soo sorry to hear that ...but it's good that you r going for IUI .. who knows ..if it's meant to happen it could happen thru this as well wishing you all the very best with your IUI .. keep us posted ...

I'm soooooo happy today! I was so scared yest of the trigger shot. But it was funny! I told my DH to just come to the room when he's ready, do it without letting me see the needle and if it had blood just take it out, and don't tell me nothing. When he took the needle out, I said: blood? he said no, I finished. I was NO!!!! let me see the syringe! I was almost jumping, I thought it would be bad but not at all!

Statsgoddess that's grea! Let us know about your fert report. Praying for most eggies to fertilize! My ER will be tomorrow. I triggered last night at 9pm So Happy today! No more shots!!!! Yuuupiiiii!!!

Hi- I am new to the board- I started looking for support yesterday...not a good day. I am in the middle of my 1st IVF cycle- after trying IUI serveral times w/out success. I am 32, DH 39, and we are in the Unexplained Fertility category. After starting BCP 4/7- I started on Lupron 4/16 and 2 days ago added the Menopor and Bravelle combo. I think that is when things started downhill- emotionally I have been pretty stable up until this week- DH is the best, but I have such anxiety surrounding the injections and adding the 2nd has been difficult, and aniticipating the trigger shot, and progesterone is making me crazy! add in the roller coaster of will this work or not and how many embryos we should tranfer, to say the least I am overwhelmed. My possible retrieval dates are between 5/6-5/10. Anyone on a similiar timeline? I know it will help for me to hear other experiences while sharing mine:) Any and all advice welcome!

Hello Faith77, welcome to the boards. The medications usually make us have mood swings, they are part of the process. About the trigger shot, don't worry. I'm scared of needles and last night I trigger, I couldn't beleive it was done until I saw the empty syringe. That one is the most painless of all Can I ask how many Menopur and Bravelle are you using, thanks God I'm done with the injections but just curious because we are almost on the same protocol except for the BCP. Estrellita- Thanks for the encouragement- I am no doubt suffering from mood swings:) Congrats on surviving the trigger shot, I know you are excited for the retrieval. I am taking 2 bravelle vials and 1 menopur mixed w/ 1 ml of saline. Is that what you took? I must be about a week behind you in the cycle timeline. Wishing you the best.

Yes, I just want tomorrow to come and then ET day I took 1-Bravelle and 1-Menopur and 5units of Lupron. If you feel so unconfortable with the injections, if you are doing them on the belly, try the thighs or vice versa

I will be thinking about you tomorrow- hoping all goes well with the retrieval- DH is giving me both shots in the tummy. My lUpron dose was originally 10 units, but when I started the others it was reduced to 5 units. I don't think it is the area I have trouble with, I just depsise needles- always have....But IVF has forced me to face my fears. I have improved, but still have anxiety every evening when I lay down for the injections, my sweet hubby does all he can to relax me, but I can't control it, my palms sweat and I get hot flashes. All I can do is remind myself that I want a child more than I hate needles. Let me know how the Retrieval procedure is- I can never have too many details! Good Luck:)

AFM ,went for my U/S today ...seems like ER will be sson..I am a little nervous now cause i was thinking I still have time but according to them I am almost ready ... .....i'll go again tom .. lets see what happens ..

Faith77-- welcome! We are basically on the same timeline. I started Menopur and Follistum on Monday night. My egg retreival (ER) should be may 7-9. This is my 5th IVF cycle so I am a pro...not really something to be proud of...but I do know quite a bit about this, so any questions I can help with just ask. Try not to be nervous about your injections....you will get used to them.

AFM....I go in for bw and u/s friday morning at 11:30. Last night I went to do my injections and realized that the pharmacy didn't send me any sub-cutaneous needles!! So I had to use my HCG trigger needle and then go to my clinic to get one for tonight until they can send me what I should have gotten yesterday. I am so annoyed that it wasn't right the first time! UGH!
