Hi

Well I went back for my scan again and they took me into a side room they used the very first time I was in the clinic. The doctor didn't know how to use the scanner (it was the same new doc who told me there was only one baby last week then found the other only when i asked is that another one!).

He told me it was an older scanner and took 5 minutes trying to zoom in on the babies. The nurse took over and when i asked why the image wasnt as good as last week she basically told me it is because I am fat. (I suppose I would struggle modelling swimsuits but i am not really fat  ).

She couldn't pick up the heartbeats but we could see the sacs and contents. They were both larger than last week and were looking exactly as they should. They said the heartbeats are hard to pick up with these scanners. It took all my control to not remind them i paid $12000 for this priviledge and I want a scanner that works on fat chicks! They told me to come back in 2 weeks (I go on hols on Sat to Spain so it will actually be 4 weeks time). She also told me to be positive as everything is as it should be.

I still feel sick from the moment I get up then throughout the day. I think that is telling me more than the skinny girl scanner.

So time to be positive......twins it is!!!! OMG!

Love to all and thanks fo your good wishes x

Hey Jude.....beta tomorrow! We all know what your result will be!!!! BFP!

Adsgirl- I cant wait to hear your big numbers today!! I'm doing good. No m/s yet. I never wanted to be sick so bad in my life!!! It's horrible!! I'm still having strong cramps, but as long as it is normal and just my uterus stretching for my little ones I am going to suck it up. I have a rubber band holding my jeans together this morning

Angram- Is it Wed yet??????

Neffi- That is so awesome!!! It's the best feeling in the world. I was telling DH last night that all I can see all day long are those little hearts just a beating away. Its amazing how much I love them already (now I'm crying!!!).
Congrats on the m/s, is it all you hoped for :P hheeehhhheee. I can't wait for it!!!
Love the pic. Man, does your little sac look like a perfect bean or what!?!?!

Jude- 1 one day!!!

hopefullIL- Thanks so much!!! How are you feeling?

Cwrj- I am glad your fab twins are doing great!!! I wouls so have reminded them at the big cost you've spent for their services. M/S is great!! Good for you :P Enjoy your holiday!!

Hope all is well with everyone else!!

Adsgirl- The PIO shots are really killing me now, so I totally understand where you are coming from. It started when I was about 4 1/2-5 weeks. I now have welts and black bruises on my butt. They itch as well. I have ran out of room for new shots because of all the bruises and welts. RE checked my P levels Tues (havent heard back from them yet) to see how I was looking to maybe graduate me to supositories around 8 weeks.
Did they check your P levels when they did your first beta? You should ask about that when you go in today to get your 2nd beta if not.

Next week is when I ahve to start doing to PIO's myself

Dakota, sorry to walk in to your thread. But I just was going through the thread and realised u will need to inject yourself. I was scared too when I had to do it myselfbut this youtube video helped me greatly and its not at all difficult once u do the way she does. You may type in " Self-injecting PIO for IVF witth 25g needle, the poster's name is quadruplelatte. All the best.

Congrats, all the BFP and with beating hearts of little ones in this thread. I am a constant reader but not a frequent poster as my prenancy is failing slowly but surely.

Dakota - well girl, you're going to have to go shopping soon for the stretchy jeans!!! Rubber band is a good idea though!! I have on my 'fat pair' of jeans today, and I'm pretty well filling them!! Feeling pretty bloated.

Good luck with the PIO shots - no help for you on that one as I've let DH thankfully take care of that so far. Hope the video helps!

Godblessus - I hope you are okay? Sorry to hear things are not good for you.

Okay, so tomorrow is the big day, I"ll keep you posted!! I bought a digital test for the morning, so I'm hoping it says the right thing before I leave for my beta. :D :D

Jude - I am so so so so hoping for a great HPT and beta result for you tomorrow!! Everything crossed for you!

Dakota - Good luck with your own PIO...I know my DH will be out of town a few times (and I normally travel for work but have been avoiding it lately)...and I am really worried about doing that shot myself! Please let me know how it goes!! I won't switch to suppositories I don't think...my RE keeps me on the shots for a total of 10 - 12 weeks! I did get my progesterone level after my first beta...it was 78.3, and my E2 was 711. I didn't get the results from today's lab (other than the beta)...they said they would call me if they needed me to change anything, and they didn't...so I'm sure the numbers look good.

My second beta came back - 419!! We are so excited...this test result made it seem much more real...holy crap...I'm prego! It is very very exciting...

Congrats again Adsgirl & your progestrone is REALLY good. My RE told me before I started doing the PIO on my own completley, to have DH show me and coach me for a few days so I can get comfy with it. I'll let you know next week if it works!!

cwrj00 – Wow, I can’t believe you had to go through all of that during your u/s. I totally agree with you, I’d be pissed that they’re using old machines after all the money you’ve spent. So awesome though that you’re having twins, congrats!!

Dakota – I’m totally with you, I’ve never wanted so badly to be sick. I’m impressed you’re going to do your own PIO, way more guts than me. I couldn’t even give the one’s in the belly, I’m such a wimp with needles. I’m on the crinone gel, so haven’t had to have any shots since my trigger…thankfully. My pants are getting a bit snug as well and the buttons are leaving imprints on my stomach :) I'm trying to wear more skirts, but I now have a little pooch (bloated) and figure people at work just think I have had a few too many beers

Jude – I’m so excited to finally hear your beta, feels like you should’ve had it on Monday after all the BFP’s you’ve been getting :)

AdsGirl – Awesome 2nd beta, congratulations!! Do you have a 3rd one scheduled?

Not much going on here, just got back from my anniversary dinner with DH and had to switch to pj bottoms immediately :) Now feel like curling up with a book and heading to bed early because I'm so tired...poor guy :)

Adsgirl & Dakota - I think I posted this here but I'm not 100% sure.....put something frozen on the injection site for 10-15 minutes then a warm compress after the injection....it helps ALOT! I've been doing 'butt" injections for over 7 weeks! We have done the freezing since day one. It doesn't stop the bruising 100% but it sure does help!

I am sooo glad that there are a few of you who's pants are getting "snug"! I thought I was going crazy thinking it could be happening already! :P

CWRJ00 - I am a "heavy" woman and they could still see the baby in the ultrasound. It has to be faulty equipment not you! The comment the nurse made to you was rude, uncalled for and FALSE! The other option is an internal ultrasound. (I can't believe how mad reading what the nurse said has made me! HORMONES)

Things are going well with me. My beta keeps rising which is a big relief! I never thought I would be at this point since I started at only 13.4! I have my 2nd ultrasound next Wednesday! I'm very excited to see my little bean again! I will be 10 weeks and 4 days at that time! :D My RE has giving me a due date of February 8th. Sigh! It seems too good to be true!
