Jen-congratulations. We have 4 frosties left. They are frozen in twos so we have two more tries left and then that's it for our IVF journey. We have one set of 5 day frosties (2BC & 3BC) and one set of 6 day frosties (3BB & 3BC). We won't be doing our ext FET until January. Praying that we are able to get a better picture as to why we have had two MC's back to back. Congratulations again.

@WeHaveHope - are you having genetic testing done on the products of conception (I can't begin to tell you how much I hate that term)? It may shed some light on what's been happening.

Kerpupples-I hate that term also but know that this is the correct terminology. I took in what I think was a tissue sample. They sent it in last week foe genetic testing. We should have some additional information this week. I just spoke to the nurse and she is going to have my RE call me but my Beta today is 112.

Somedays this emotional rollercoaster is so stressful. I pray and pray this time works for us because I really miss feeling like myself, instead of this touchy, emotional pile of goo.

Tonight I started stims. I am so happy for this cycle to finally begin! I had a super stressful day - just glad and relieved that it's over.

Julia - Your numbers sound great! Good luck moving forward.

blessed - Good luck tomorrow morning! I hope you get a great report and that your lining is in good shape.

kerpupples - Welcome! It sounds like you are doing super well.

Leora - YAY for stopping BCP - it's been a long time in coming! My FETs were the same protocol as yours but I believe I transferred on CD 18-19 both times (day 3 transfer). Is it possible that maybe you are actually ready sooner than when they start you on the progesterone, but you just aren't hitting it right with the monitoring? I went in once a week for both FETs, so that would generally put me at a lining check around CD14-15. According to my notes, I started progesterone when my lining was 9.2mm for FET #1 and 10mm for FET #2. Sometimes I look at Sefer v'Sefel for books, but more often than not, I keep an Amazon wishlist and make an order on Amazon whenever I come to the states. However, with the 2nd bag fees starting, it might not be the most practical thing anymore. Also the site bookdepository.co.uk has free int'l shipping everywhere. The prices aren't as good as Amazon, but you can't beat free (and usually quick) shipping. It would probably be more economical for me to get a Kindle, but I read mostly on Shabbat and I really love physically collecting books. Glad to hear you're enjoying Still Alice. How did you like An Exact Replica of a Figment of my Imagination? I will shoot you an email re: swapping books and getting together!

Sunshine - Good luck with your upcoming IUI! You guys must have great injection technique if this is the 1st bruise :)

Tess - The garden sounds great and it sounds like you had a super productive day! I use Rizalt or Imitrex pretty often (same active ingredient as Imigran, I believe)when I am not cycling. I find it works quite well if i take it very early on, but sometimes I don't get the aura and don't have enough warning, and then I'm toast.

Blue - I think I am a bit late to the game, but congrats on your BFP! That's amazing news! My main issue with the migraines is the pain and the vomiting…once I start vomiting (sorry, gross) there is nothing I can do, and as you say, also the cognitive haze. Even if I catch it in time with Imitrex or Rizalt, my brain still feels like pudding. That is interesting that the MFM approved the beta blockers as a preventative - I will definitely ask the neurologist and my RE whether that might be an option for me. I hope that with pregnancy, your migraines will lessen!

Kerpupples- I am on day 10 of fsh a's my appetite has increased and am somewhat sleepier than normal. Not sure if I'm imagining it or not. That's so great about your follies! You sound as if you're well on your way. I'm excited for you!

afm- just got my voicemail saying estradiol level:1527, stay on follistim/lupron/dexamethasone till wednesday morning, come in again for e2/us- egg retrieval should be friday, possibly saturday. I woke up last night with abdominal pain, I assumed its from the stimming. This morning at the u/s I coulda sworn my ovaries would be exploding with growth. This stuff sure is unpredictable. DH was like, that was a great appointment! Meanwhile I felt let down a but or maybe my expectations were very high. Ah well. Progress! How everyones having a great day!

Rosie- so great to hear you are stimming! Go go gadget follies!

I'm not sure if this is a funny story or just plain weird. The in-laws left today following their weekend visit. They are very helpful around the house, sometimes too helpful. They are Chinese and apparently this is very cultural. I am a standard midwestern American girl, very much not Chinese  so this has taken a lot of getting used to. They always cook fried rice and clean the house before leaving and while we are at work. I came home a bit early today because I am so tired. They went as far as to clean the master bathroom. I should be grateful, right?

Someone organized my bag of pads and tampons! They also emptied the trash along with the 5 empty boxes of hpt. Who does that??? Really???

Hi ladies - i cannot wait to get back in the game! i just looked back at my calendar and my beta went to zero on sept 29. its been 3.5 weeks and still no period. i guess my body is going through the full cycle before getting to the period again. well hopefully by this weekend i will get my period.
i was just rummaging through my cabinets and looked at my stash of syringes and needles and weirdly enough got that warm feeling in my stomach - i just cannot wait to get back to baby making :) how funny is that that i look forward to putting my syringes and needles back to use!

oh boy - what would i not give to be able to conceive "normally". a glass of wine a nice dinner and a month later we are pregnant! as opposed to a year of BFNs, ectopics and MCs. urgh... but everyone has their issues and i guess this is our family's issue. oh well - it could be worse! thank god for science and it being able to help us conceive.

anyway - just a quick note to let you guys know that i've been following everyone - and rejoycing at our BFPs and feeling really bad for our miscarriages and BFNs. its is a tough tough road we are on.

and i cant wait to get back on the rollercoater! come on AF, i am ready!!!
i ordered HPTs from Amazon yesterday. what a great deal - 20c per test!

and i know they work - Leora - i still remember the picture of your BFP from last February! and the line getting darker and darker. how bittersweet. more bitter than sweet really. i am sorry - i know you have a tough date tomorrow with the 38weeks and all. i wish you a toll glass of wine ( or vodka) and a big bowl of ice cream to get through the day! you can still drink, right? you are not on stims yet.

i've been bugging my DH for a puppy! i so want one... he is a bit reserved about it. he works from home - so it would fall more on him to take care of the puppy during the day.

Rosie- The MFM had approved all of my meds at that time which were Toprol XL (the beta blocker), Zoloft, Atarax (antihistamine), Baclofen (muscle relaxer), and Vicodin. I discontinued the atarax and haven't needed the Baclofen. She told me that I'm on such a small dose of the Toprol that she wasn't concerned at all. The atarax is frequently used for severe morning sickness so she wasn't worried about that. She also said she has spinal cord injury patients that have baclofen pumps and it doesn't affect the baby.

I take Toprol, Zoloft, Benedryl, and baby aspirin regularly and Vicodin/Baclofen as needed. I'm trying to avoid those during this first trimester just to be safe.

Good luck!

ladies - this is kind of tangential - but for those of you with migrane experience - could you please share what works for you?

my mom has severe headaches all her life and she's been on several meds - i forget which ones exactly. but when she gets a migrane she gives herself a shot and lies down for a few hours. it knocks it down to a regular headache for her.

i was just curious what works for you?

Blue, as odd as that may appear on the outside I'm sure they were trying to be helpful. I lol'd though as I was reading it. I would prolly not be reacting gratefully, but what do u do? Would it be insulting to them to say something like, "i really appreciate all your efforts but would rather you let me do the master bath"? Idk. Now I want some fried rice tho...

Evening ladies :D
Blueyedreamer: the pressure families can put on us is crazy isnt it. Hope it will now be easier as they know.could you send your in laws to my house please?!
Blessed: this is a tough time on both you and your dh. You are who you are and I'll bet one of the reasons your dh was drawn to you was because you are different to him and can be emotional. I hope you are ok and good luck tomorrow.
Tess: that's why I was congratulating you on the win :D your veggie sound great!
Sunshine: ouch you poor thing! Have you two weeks of injections?
Leorira: oh brilliant recommendation thankyou, I've been curious about that and I can cope with sex and violence :D this must be a really tough time for you in terms of the twins. I cant imagine what it must have been likefor you losing your boys. Im sending you lots of strength.
Kerpupples: im in ireland so im afraid my drugs are different but i was tired on mine yes.
Julia: im not technical enough to know about days and follicle size but 17mm is good!
Men: Congrats!!!! That's great!!
Becca: sounds like a really bad day. Sending you hope and strength.
Rose: have you tried anything alternative/complimentary for your migraines?
Lyd10: brilliant to hear from you! And I so get what you mean about others taking conceptionfor granted.whatbsort of a puppy would you like?
We: how are you feeling physically?

Afm: work wasnt bad today. We are experiencing bad floods so I can only imagine the graveyard tomorrow. My aunt wanted me to sing but i honestly dont know how I'll be tomorrow so I decided I would just sing one hymn because I should be able to handle that.

Sorry it has taken me so long to post. I just could not get myself out of bed, not even to eat. Went to the RE at 9am. I think they were shocked that I had lost the baby and that I had a photo of it. I think they thought I had lost my marbles since everything was ok just hours before on Saturday....DH is also devistated. I feel bad it is the one thing I am having troubles providing for him...he said that he loves me regardless if we have a baby or not. Seem so unfair. Anyway, DH wants to try again. I asked him to wait until December/January. RE said next cycle I can, but I just can't! I better go....DH is making me dinner, the same one he made for our first date...what a sweet, loving man. Did I mention that he also bought me a Mtn. Dew! Been soda free since I can't remember! Love him.

Thanks everyone for all your support and encouragement.

We - Are you going to have any additional testing done to see why? They said they would, but would [prefer to wait until 3...
