bec - i'm doing fine thanks hunny. how about you?? i'm so excited for you and cant believe it might be twins!! you never know, it might be more!! i love your ticker!!!

babyblue - i'm so sorry to hear about your DH. i'm allergic to penicillin too and so is my dh so its not nice. unfortunately i do think that it may affect his sperm but i do think it just affects the count, not the sperm quality. its just that when my dh had his sperm test and the count came back low they asked if he has been ill recently or run down...so it obviously can affect it. but i dont think it affects it drastically. its worth checking with your clinic though. best of luck, keep us updated. hugs.

haylie - oh i do understand about the other babies. we are genuinely pleased for them but it definitely is hard!! thanks for the tip on the photos...hehehe.

raintree and jodic - a great big welcome to you both!!!!!!! you'll find these ladies (and gentleman) amazing here and before long you'll feel like you've been here forever!! raintree - hope your lining is ok sunday!

as for me, i have a question - does everyone on here use injections to downreg as i will be using a nasal spray and just wanted to know if anyone else uses this???

Shantala - Thanks for the info. ER called back yesterday afternoon late and said that high liver enzymes can effect the sperm. We have now postponed our cycle until Feb or March. We want DH better first. I have really enjoyed this thread, but plan on taking a break from the messaging for a bit to try to give my mind a rest. Wanting a baby can be overwhelmingly such a mind drain. I have got to devote my mind to other things for a month or two, because when you start the shots your mind cannot be shut off - just BABY, BABY, BABY or BFP, BFP, BFP.

Sorry to sound thick - Can someone clear up for me what down regging is and what stimming is?, they are terms I haven't come across. I'm guessing that down regging is when you have the injection to shut you down?

Babyblue completly understand and your right to take a break get hubby back on top first the whole ivf trip is so hard you want to make sure you dont leave room for any what if's i want to wish you well in the future hope your Dh feels better soon and i will try to keep an eye on how you do hope to pop back and cheer you along...i will keep you in my prayers

Charlie dont worry you will be fluent in board speak so soon...LOL down regging is the same as surpression its when you take some thing to stop your hormones (mini menopause) you where right there and stimming is the egg food part of your cycle the short for stimulating your ovary's to produnce lots of nice big healthy eggs ...hope that helps a bit and your not thick at all it takes a while to pick up on all the abb's

Shantala, I used BCP to down reg. I have never used injections but I have heard of others using sprays. It must depend where you are. Good luck to you. I skipped the downregging stage and went straight to stimming.

Mia, so glad you were are starting again and isnt it great how we can count on eachother. I think it is so sweet how we are helping eachother out and have never even met. You all are my lifelines!!

Sophie, Im sorry about the annoying friends on the chin I know what you mean, I get them about 3 days before AF!!

Well for me I started stimming today. Menopur is hard to mix, isnt it? It burns too!! But I heard too that there are very good results with it so burn baby burn!!

Aunty - Thanks for clearing that up for me! I start my mini-menopause on the 2nd and all being well, I start stimming on the 17th Jan for 12 days - 48 injections in total! Not really looking forward to it -especially after reading that menopur burns! Equally not looking forward to the progesterone pessaries - nice!
I've learnt so much since i've come on this message board.

When I read what other people are going through it makes me feel so humble - I think everyone is so brave.

okay a little about me, i was on the Nov 06 thread but only got a chemical pregnancy on an FET, i start another FET cycle on jan 10th downregging injection that day. transfer will be early Feb i think?

Hi Ladies,

Shantala, The reason I didnt do BCP this time is because they use BCP to regulate your cycle in case they have any issues ay the clinics. Like if DR is away at a meeting , vacations, etc. My Dr knows me and my cycle pretty well. This is my 4th fresh. Im glad Im not doing the BCP because for me they bloat me and I get moody .

Today is day 2 of stimming and I already lost it with DH last night. Right in the middle of me screaming at him like I was a 4 yr old I realized it was the hormones. Oh my poor DH... and this is just the beginning.

Im on my wat to accu today. Maybe he can balance me again

Jackie that's the spirit we can do this...can i ask you a question do they have you on baby asprin or patches or anything else..i asked my Dr for E2 patches and i will be on baby asprin also
