Hey Ladies,
What a day! We were at the hospital for 6 hours! Im exhausted. Anyways, The egg retrieval went well. They got 8 eggs anf 7 were mature.
Next was the scary part: none of DH's swimmers survived the thaw :( then they tried to get a fresh sample and the doctors found only dead swimers :( Third times a charm! When they tried again, they found some that were barely moving and had to wake them up a bit. So they went ahead a fertilized all 7. We have to wait til Saturday to find out how the little embies are developing. One hump down, several more to go!
Thanks for all the dust!
Prayers for all of you...Ill catch up on personals tomorrow! Nite!

Hey everyone;
Seriously I feel so lame not being able to keep up with everyone and what is going on with all of you. :(
Quickly we got the latest on our embies...5 of them are grade B (the other didnt make it) and the RE is feeling very positive about it all so they were biopsied today and the cells were sent out for PGD. We will know for sure tomorrow if I am going to proceed to transfer this weekend. I am feeling so positive about this cycle...different than the other cycles. I think this just might be our time!
Thanks for all the PMA! Lots of love to everyone here!

So I'm 1 day into the 2ww, and I'm already thinking this hasn't worked. Good grief...seriously. Last time we transferred 3 embies, but they weren't as good of a quality. This time, we only transferred 2 of excellent quality. I really hate the 2ww part of this (katie - I'm right along with ya). I've decided I'm going to POAS starting next Wednesday which is 2 days before our beta.

They also called and said that 1 more of embies made it to freeze, so we have a total of 4 snowbabies (3 from this cycle and 1 from our 1st cycle).

lisa - Whew-hew!!! Another ringer!!! Send some PMA my way, please!! :D

wolffie - I'm sooooooooooo glad your u/s went well and everything looks great. I know this past week must have been really scary. Now you can breathe a little easier.

rayofsunshine - So sorry for the flu!!!! ICK!!!! I'm praying for your beta on Monday!!

statsgoddess - I wish I had the choice of the PIO shots or suppositories. I have to do both!!!

cricket - Let's pray that it's just too early to test. Sorry about the -HPT.

karenthescorpio - SUPER EXCELLENT fert. report. :D I would definitely push to do a fresh transfer now. I'm hoping your RE gets his stuff together.

syanna - I know what you mean about just bring on the stinking trigger shot. LOL. Hang in there!!!

jaydent - Whew-hew to trigger tonight and ER on Friday. I can't wait to hear how many eggies they retrieve.

kala - Oh man. After all that mess with the airlines. That is so very disappointing. I'm praying for a SUPER fert. report for you on Saturday. GROW EMBIES GROW!!!!!

I know - PMA!!

Cricket- poas is pee on a stick and dpt is days past transfer. I am 6dp5dt which means 6 days past a 5 day transfer (I just learned this too!) a few people on here POASed at 8dpt and seem to get a line by then if they are + so I'm going to try to wait a few more days...we'll see!

Hi All - sorry I was so MIA. My computer cord broke and we had to wait untl HP sent us a new one. I have been freaking out not being able to read on here and am now WAY behind. I am sorry!!!! You may not even remember me at this point, but know that I have been thinking about you all a lot. First I will try to do some personals - sorry if i leave anyone out.

kala - sorry to hear about DHs swimmers but it sounds like they may have gotten some that will work. You wont get your fert report tomorrow??? I hate all this waiting!

michaelajt73 - great beta numbers! Congrats

jaydentd - good luck for your ER! I was so excited about the day after my trigger - no needles!

syanna - I agree the Repronex was the most painful. It gave me red welts too and be the end i would dread it because i was running out of space that wasn't ouchy on my tummy. There will be an end to it though!!!!

teachermom - Good luck on the IUI - I hope it works!

Karen - 10 retrieved and 10 fertilized??? That is GREAT! Would you do a 3 or 5 day transfer?

Lisa - YEAH for your positivity! I love the optimism. You made me smile just thinking about the convo with your DH. I was the same way when I got my flu shot. I figured I am already a pin cushion - what is one more. But tthat night and the next day it hurt so bad - I could hardly lift it and I couldn't sleep on my side. Suck. OHHHH and on top of that a couple days later I felt like poo. It olny lasted about 24 hours but it was not fun. I think the having the flu shot is well worth it though. Are you going to get H1N1 when it is out?

cricket - dont lose hope yet! You are PUPO.

Statsgoddess - good luck on getting the new job. Awesome beta #s!!! Congrats.

Shelby - I am soooooo happy for you - not long now and you will get to see your little one!!!! So exciting.

Turtle - doing AF dance for you.

Rayofsunshine - H1N1 - Yikes!!! I hope you feel better soon!

wolffie - so excited to hear you had a good US!!!

moorebaby - sorry to hear about your loss. Hopefully the next time will be the charm.

Lady_J - you poor thing. Having all the BFN pain and then having to have dental work. Ugh. i hope the herbal clense goes well. Sounds like it is something to get wrapped up in which I think is great. Lots of prayers going out to you.

Malya - I am praying that everything is ok.

J&C - we are on the same schedule. So happy that you had some great embies to put in - hopefully the others freeze. Are you going crazy laying around yet???

prayin - wondering how youa re doing and what you decided on your 6.

As for me I am not sure where i left off. I had ER on the 2nd and they got 12 eggs. 8 of them fertilized. All 8 grew to 6-8 cells on day 3 so they were all biopsied and sent on to PGD. We went in yesterday for the ET. Only 2 were ok. 3 had CF, 1 was inconclusive - not safe, 1 had 2 copies of my gene and none of DHs (they said that was incredibly strange), and one more was disease free but it didn't make it. Of the 2 1 was marked great quality and the other was ok. They were also a little behind in the growth stage and not quite blastocyct yet. They were called Morlulas - I had never heard that term before so I am not sure what to think of it. I cried at my ET but just for a little bit. I was so sure we would at least have a couple that we could freeze. Not a single one came back as a carrier and statisticly 50% should have been. I got over feeling sorry for myself pretty quick and am thankful we have 2. I am chilling out till Saturday morning. stick babies stick!
Oh - my Beta is the 19th.

Morning ladies. So last night I had a dream about my follies hahah. How they became big in one night and all these other stuff. I just came back from the clinic, and they found a few 18s and said I might be ready to trigger tonight! Whoo hoo!!! I'm very excited but now nervous! Can u guys please tell me anything bout the trigger shot to make it less painful? Ice/hot pack? Standing or lay down? What area in the bum? My Dr said any area of my back pocket is fine, but all videos I watch shows the upper quadrant..where then?? Any advice would be helpful and appreciated! Thanks all...I'm off to work now!

CT Michelle -- Paryer for a "HIGH" number for you today love. Please let us know what you find out and follow what your heart tells you.

AFM - I have my first consult with our RE on Tuesday to ask questions that we didn't ask since we got pregnant the first time around. We were never told what grades our embryos were or why out of 13 there were none left to freeze etc. We will decide from the info that we recieve on Tuesday whether we plan to try one more time. Will let you know what we decide. Still may not start until 2010. Don't want the stress to ruin my holiday's or Michaels 1st "real" Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Take care and I'll be looking for your post later today!
Me, 40 - DH, 47
IVF #1: POSITIVE - Michaela born 9/19/08
IVF #2: Consult on 10/13/09 - Start BCP Dec since clinic will be closed for the Holiday.

Hi everyone. Happy Friday! Man alive this message board is a challenge to keep up with! There are sooo many of us...and I think all the positive and less than positive news really helps keep up all grounded a bit. Especially given all the hormones running through our veins. So, tomorrow I find out if we do ET or freeze them. I'm trying to find out what is teh deciding factor. My head is spinning from this clinic! I'm not too sore anymore from ER...but oddly enough I am very bloated in my stomach and ribs. Isn't that strange? Is that bad? Cause it feels sore in that area...and not so much in the area where they did the "work". Anyone have this experience with ER?

Oh, btw, the PIO shot was nothing. I started them last night. I was braced for pain, but DH did an excellent job! Thank goodness it doesn't hurt. Even used the 22G needle!

Syanna - I always have DH do mine while standing. I have found that ice works best for me with the PIO, but be careful not to leave it on there too long and always put something like a tee shirt between your skin and the ice. Look @ the butt/hip part of this website. Hope it helps and good luck with trigger! :D .
