JDC: Do all protocol's use lupron?

Sabi: When is your actual scan? We need to get prepared for this.

Chriss: Almost time to let everyone know about twins! Wow, that's quite exciting. I think my family would faint with happiness since I have had so many miscarriages. What a blessing.

Carolyn: Ahh. a sigh of relief for you today.

I started the pill yesterday but am away 2 weeks on and off with visiting my sick mom. They said I can do the 3D sonogram early sometime this week. Who knows when we will transfer? OUr ER coordinator is away so things are moving but a little slow. Again, no idea of my timeline.

Thanks for all of the updates.

Gigi,
I did the Lupron injections.

Summer& Chriss,
Are you still doing Progesterone injections? If not, when where you able to stop?

HI Carolyn,
Floating on cloud 9? So happy for you!

Gigi,
Starting up again huh?

Pooh,
Where are you? What's up w/you?

JDC & JenB
Thinking about you both.

3 more days till ultrasound. I guess it's vaginal, they said nothing about drinking water to me. Dying to know what's cooking....

Hi gigi - I only took estrogen tablets and progesterone both orally and as a suppository. No BCPs in advance and no shots this time around. Every clinic has their own way of doing things!
Wishing you a good trip and hope your mother is feeling better. Does she live far away from you?
Let us know how your upcoming scan goes!

Hi Sabi - I took progesterone full-strength till the end of the 12th week, then the dosage was tapered off and finally stopped in the 15th week. Your body doesn't start producing it naturally after an IVF tmt till the placenta is fully formed, which happens somewhere between week 10 and 12, that is why you need to usually take it till at least the 10th week. It is really important as good progesterone levels are important to maintain a healthy pregnancy and keep the possibility of miscarriage at bay.
Your u/s will/should be vaginal - Can't exactly remember when the belly ones began...

Hope all the egg-heads are doing well!

xx summer

Carolyn, So wonderful to hear your news.

Gigi, I am also not on Lupron or bcp's. Everything starts with AF, should be around the 22-24. I leave for Prague in 3 weeks, it seems like we are in countdown mode now.

Sabi, I am excited to hear your news. My doc doesn't like to do abdominal u/s until 10 weeks.

Hope you are all doing well. There is really an amazing group of ladies on here that continue to support the girls still cycling even though you have found success!

Evergreen, we are here for you because we know what it's like. We offer positive energy and an ear to listen. I am so thankful to all of the people who were there for me along the way. We want to be there for you too. Stay positive:)

Sabi. they started lowering my PIO at around 8 weeks I think and then I stopped PIO althogether at 10 weeks. It's so nice not to have to do those big shots!!! I continue to do nightly lovonox shots, it is a blood thinner I am on beause of a clotting tendency. I will continue them throughout the pregnancy. But... the shot is much smaller and is sub-q.

Gigi,Sorry about your mom. yYou are getting closer everyday, so you will be on your way. It will happen...

Thinking of you all. Have a terrific day.

We told my parents last night after our great sono appointment. Things look good. I plan to tell my beach friends on Monday when I head back to the beach. Home today for gas company and going to visit my sis and nephews for a few days. I'll be thinking of you guys. Take care.

Sabi:
Can't wait to hear about the US....

Carolyn: Good news! So glad everything is smooth for you.

Evergreen: I'm new at ED too and this is our last try as well. I'm with you my friend.

I had the baseline ultrasound yesterday and all is good. I do have a small fribroid still but shouldn't be an issue. Very overwhelmed with DS right now. He is scheduled for two big surgeries for his feet this coming winter and hoping I will be happily pregnant and in 2nd trimester at the time. He was born with severe club feet and some other issues but no diagnosis still at age 5. He is progressing well but still has a big road ahead for him and us.

Having an ED makes me feel alot better about pregnancy at my age in general because of all of the chromosomal issues related to aging eggs. We lost 3 pregnancies due to it so this is a wonderful answer to prayer for so many of us. A pity that eggs have to age and sperm only last 48 hours!!!

Good to hear from all of you other eggies and your wonderful pregnancies!F It gives me hope daily.

Gigi,
Nice to hear from you. Yes, the chromosomal defects are quite scary. What a wonderful option for us "old ladies". Glad to hear that things are moving right along. Sorry to hear that your son has to have surgeries. Keep in touch.

Sabi, congratulations! I can attest that it is definitely not double the trouble - it is completely double the fun!!!! Hope you are on cloud nine! Twins is so much fun!

Chris, that is wonderful that you told your parents! It is so much fun spreading the news!

Gigi - glad to hear that your baseline went well. I am sure by the winter you'll be right into the pregnancy!!

Carolyn, I remember in the first trimester, being pregnant was all I could think about. It is a fun stage! How are you feeling? Any nausea?

Hi to Summer, JenB, Evergreen and anyone else I've missed!!!

Things with us are great! The twins are 10 months and minutes away from crawling - they push themselves around but aren't up on all fours just yet! I think my life is going to change drastically when that happens!!! I am having daycare dilemmas right now - can't find any that will have space when we are ready to start. My advice to all of you who are pregnant and plan to use daycare - put your name on the lists now. You can never be too early. I started to look after the twins were born and that was already too late! Crazy isn't it?

Thinking of you all!

Sabi, congratulations!! Twins will be great.

I started my AF one wk early. I wrote Gennet about it and she said that she would have the donor stop bcp's. I wrote her back and asked if she could hold off and leave the donor on for a few more days. We have tickets purchased and everything with my DD is arranged around the dates of Aug 3-13. DH might have to go over a few days earlier and then I would go over to meet him and have ET. AF has been like clockwork, it figures right before the cycle it changes.

Stef, keep thinking positive that all will be just fine - even if AF arrived a bit earlier than expected. Sounds like your clinic will be accommodating, which is really nice.

Sabi - congratulations on twins!!!! How very exciting!!! So happy to hear all is looking good!

Kelly - sounds like you will soon have some very mobile little people around your feet! What an exciting time! Already 10 months old, I can hardly believe it! Wishing you all the best finding a daycare place for your twins!

chriss & carolyn - hope all is well with both of you!

gigi - got my fingers crossed that all works with your upcoming cycle, so you will be happily well into your pregnancy by the time your son has to undergo his surgeries.

poohgirl - how are things with you? Do you have a new date to get started?

jenB - hope all is well with you and that you are having a wonderful summer!!

We have just booked a little holiday away and I am so looking forward to it!

Take good care egg-heads!
