Laura N, positive thinking is so, well, positive!! Keep it up. I hate it when I'm confronted with a situation and the outcome is unclear. Praying that your job stuff sorts out quickly and for the best.

Hope everyone is doing well tonight. I trigger at 12:15 a.m. 2 ovidrel shots then go back to nashville for one more e2 in the morning. Saturday at 11:15 is the egg retrieval! Woohoo! Here we go. Getting a little nervous but overall I'm way excited.

Feeling so blah tonight. I was going through tv channels and Little House on the Prairie was on. So I didn't remember seeing that one and wish I didn't. Albert dies. They don't show the part but you know he does. Anyway, it got me crying BIG TIME! This has happened a lot with things lately but this was worse!

My Grandmother is almost 90, will be in January. She started going down hill last year, losing a lot of weight. It didn't stop her though and she kept going and driving. Never home much. She kept getting thinner and thinner. Her Dr FINALLY took notice when her skin was turning yellow. So he did some test and found her bile duct blocked. They went in and fixed that and finally she gained her appetite back. Still, she can't keep weight on. Because of the surgery she can't control going to the bathroom well, so that's kept her in a lot more.

She went back to the Dr a couple days ago and she has congestive heart failure. Sometimes lungs fill with fluid and has to be drained but her legs are actually leaking water! NEVER heard of that but it happens and her legs are so swollen. They say it's good that it's coming out though.

My mom and uncle are taking turns staying at night with her. My Grandfather passed away over 15 years ago. It's a bit much for them to handle. My uncle still works and my Mom broke her shoulder last year and can't lift/pull too much still. So they are considering putting her in a nursing home and my mom actually said she's ok with it because she knows she needs more help. Her insurance ( military like mine called Tricare) will pay for home care but not a sitter. That will be out of pocket.

My Grandmother has always kept to herself other than with family. Never had friends she got together with etc..so it will be hard for her at first and just pray she doesn't go down hill fast if she goes to one. I know it isn't the end at nursing homes..they still do things like bingo, outings etc..but nothing she'd probably get into. My uncles Mother is going to be there and my sister works there so at least she would have family.

This and baby thoughts just hit me hard tonight. My Grandmother has never questions me or Dh about having more kids, but I'm sure she knows we have troubles..once one person knows something in my family everyone will probably end up knowing! I don't mind though. Thinking I won't give her any Great- Grand-kids just made it worse.

My parents are both in their mid 60's and one of the reasons, I want another baby. Before they can't get down and play and enjoy them. Any prayers for my Grandmother would be greatly appreciated. I just know how some go down hill and give up too quickly. Being here sucks too!! Hate being so far.

Ninde - My husband's family is also Celtic (Scottish). Very interesting body of tales, mythology, etc. Good luck with AF coming soon! Glad your clinic is OK with going on your time schedule. You want to be ready mentally and physically to try again.

Leorira - I think "Pumpkin" would be a fitting nickname for the baby. Sounds like Cupid has a couple of lovely playmates in your twins. Wishing you your own lovey baby you can snuggle up to on Valentine's day in '13.

Amanda - You are PUPO, yay!!!

Julia - You are a regular Easter basket! Sounds like your eggs will be nice and mature too. Very cool. I may not be around this weekend so good luck.


We may be stimming for another day with retrieval on 11/1, hard to tell at this point but I tend to think that we will. My nurse doesn't tell me my e2 levels unless I ask and I forgot to ask, darnit! No stick & sir (snort) until Saturday morning. Still 17 follies, 7-16mm. Lining looks great at 10.3 mm so if we are on a fresh cycle I'm hopeful.

Laura- I have an appointment in 2 weeks. Will be getting put back on Thyroid and Metformin. Not trying to over do working out because I know too much isn't always good, but hoping back on my treadmill and run again! We've had a kinect for a while and I workout with biggest loser and it works! Love it and it will kick your butt! I've tried so Yoga moves on there and the exercise ball you use with the program and fall off every time and start laughing! lol.

I agree on the two things that help relieve the stress!

Sorry the BCP aren't being so friendly! Sorry to hear about your DH's job. That has to be hard esp during a cycle! I hope he'll find something soon if that's the plan.


Julia- Nice size follicles esp that one! 26 WOW! Good luck on Saturday!

Blessed - the countdown is on! I hope the week goes by fast for you. When I did my FET cycle earlier this month I ran into the same thing and had to refill lupron for 1 day oh well.

JenMink - Hi! Congrats on the E/R. I'm not a big egg producer and firmly believe in quality not quantity! Good luck with the transfer either tomorrow or Sunday!

Leorira - thank you for sharing your story. It breaks my heart and I have so much respect your strength. I will pray that this cycle will be the one for you.

Ninde - I get you now. I also did a wait between my 2nd and 3rd ET to try out acupuncture. I got one good frosty out of that, which transferred a few weeks back, so we will see if it helped Hope AF comes sooner than later!

Neffi - good luck tomorrow. Hope its the 9.6!

Amanda - good luck!! Actually by now you are PUPO!

LauraN - Sorry to hear about your husband's job. I hope he finds another one soon. Otherwise he can be Mister Mom

Julia - good luck with the trigger tonight and the ET Saturday. So exciting. Are you doing a fresh transfer?

Gina - I'm sorry to hear about your grandmother. I'll pray she recovers quickly.

AFM - spotting stopped yesterday afternoon, so hoping all is well. my next stick and stir (love that) is 11/1. I think I will be 6 weeks and 2 days, although I am not really sure how to calculate because I did a FET. When should I expect to hear heart beats?

I hope everyone is doing well this evening. Sorry for the lack of personals. It's going to take me a little bit to get back in the swing of things.

Amanda-I hope all went well with your transfer. Saying lots of prayers for you tonight.

For everyone else-please bare with me. Although I may not be doing many personals these days, please know that you all remain in my prayers. Please send me any updates that you may have. I'm afraid that I may have not updated the board in some of you. So please let me know if I need to update something on the board.

AFM-I am doing as well as can be expected. Yesterday was a bit of a difficult day for DH and I. We were scheduled to have our baby scan yesterday and instead of having the scan what we got was the results of the genetic testing which showed that I had been pregnant with a little boy. Tough day, but we are resilient and have faith that we will get through this difficult time. At least we know who to pray for now and the little angel that will forever be watching over us . Now the wait for the further testing and more waiting for the next FET. A bit of good news, today Ninde and I Skyped. It was my first time and I have to tell you that it was absolutely wonderful to finally put a face and a voice to all of the posts on this board. We spoke for over half hour and I enjoyed every minute of our conversation. Posting on this board is wonderful and has its own advantages but there is nothing like actual being able to hear someones voice and see the person your speaking to. I hope to be able to keep in touch with her and build on a beautiful friendship started right on here in these boards. The invitation that Ninde put out there stands for me as well. Just PM me. It has been such an amazing journey that I have shared with all of you and one that is still not over yet.

I'd like to thank everyone for the well wishes. I was so stressed out these past couple of days. I head back tomorrow morning for another scan. Praying I don't get the same nurse (I don't really care for the one that has been scanning me) and praying my lining did some major growing.

I so enjoy coming here each night an reading everyone's posts. I don't post that often but I am rooting for each and every one of you.

Sorry I wanted to post sooner, but I got up at 4:30 this morning left the house by 6 for my 8:15 appt and then headed straight into work right afterwards and just got home at 9, but I've been thinking about you all even thought about logging on via cell-phone but it drains the battery and I knew the nurse would be calling back with doctor orders....So here's the scoop for those who might care, tonight I'm to do 150 units of follistim and then go back into clinic for my final scan. What's going on, since I took the gonalerix it decreased my e2 from 8 to 1.5 in a very short time, she said the med is used to keep me from ovulating. My follicles today were 24mm, (2) around 14, one at 13 and the rest were 12 and under. My lining today was around 8 and when I asked her about it being 9 the day before I learned sometimes the muscles do contract making the lining measurements fluctuate, (I learned something new!) Anyway I was really concerned about my super follie and she said not to worry that as long as I didn't surge right yet I would be ok. Tomorrow night afer my blood is drawn she wants me to do one more dose of gonalerix and tomorrow evening I'll trigger and finally the IUI will happen on Saturday, working out well for my dh so he is off, I have a short shift but off Friday so we can drive to Mobile and spend Friday night in a nearby hotel. Too bad we can't have a room with a big spa tub, but if this works I'll get over it among the night of passion. Yep sometimes I feel like I'm cheating with a speciman cup.

Neffi211-Pregnancy announcements are the WORST! I am working with 2 pregnant people right now and it's all they talk about *sigh*, also my SIL is pregnant with her 3rd and just announced it a few weeks ago. I think I cried for an hour when she told me through text. I am hoping you have great luck this cycle!! I hope your RE doesn't cancel, I will be thinking of you.

Amanda- Congrats on your transfer of 4 embabies!!!! Sticky baby dust!!


Julia-Those are some giganic follies, wow- way to go! I only had 14 eggs this cycle and felt like I was going to pop too and mine were not as big as yours so I can only imagine how much you are hurting! Congrats on the Saturday ER! -- go momma! Wishing you buckets of eggs!

LauraN- I just want to tell you that BCP's make me CRAZY!!!!! What type are you on? I had to end up switching mine because I thought I was going to kill somebody. My patience was like a gain of sand, not good when you Manage a team of people. Sorry about DH's job, that is one of the most stressful things a person can go through. I noticed you live in Texas, do they offer unemployment benefits? In CA they do just curious about other states. I always think about what my mother used to say- When God closes a door he opens another- even if it's hell in the hallway =] DH will get something better and you will get blessed with a BFP. It's a bump in the road..keep the faith sister!

Gina- I am so sorry to hear about your Gma. My Gma is in a nursing home too and she really enjoys all the activities. She has been there about 9 years and hasn't gone downhill at all, in fact I think she is more spunky!! Where are you at in your cycle?

kerpupples- What kind of PGD clinical trial are you doing? I did PGD in April with GSN in Redwood city. I think we ended up only paying the RE fee and got the rest for free. Hope you get some good eggs, 17 follies is great!

bodie- Congrats on the twins- EXCELLENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wishing you a beautiful pregnancy-- twins are my secret wish =]

Maria (We have hope)- Hi sweetie, I hope you are getting comfort I am so sorry to hear about the MC with your son. I cannot imagine how you are feeling but I am going to pray for you tonight. This process is so fragile and scary. One day you are on cloud 9 and the next day your world comes crashing down. I am so nervous going through cycles!!! It's not like we can just try again next month right? I am sending you huge hugs and love tonight. P/S thanks for updating me on the roll call


AFM-Today was day 3 of FERT and also my day 3 transfer day. LUCKILY I didn't transfer today, so I will be doing a 5dt on Saturday. We are transferring 3 embies but I might try for 4. Here are the stats for my embies as of today:

5 @ 8 Cells- Grade 1 (That is the best!)

2 @ 7 Cells- Grade 2

1 @ 7 Cells- Grade 3

1 @ 8 Cells- Grade 2

2 @ 9 Cells- Grade 2

I don't get too excited about the stats only because having done PGD I know that 75% of those eggs are never going to implant due to genetic issues. I have prepaid for 8 FET's so I will continue to transfer if this Fresh doesn't take until I find my golden egg. This is IVF #4-- I never thought I would be here but I trust in God and he is in control so I have let control go. Transfer is 10:45 on Saturday morning and then I will chill until Tuesday in bed and have DH wait on me hand and foot. Prayers and hugs to you all!!

AFM: sleep and the next appt...Today I learned to give myself a shot, a HUGE step for someone who is scared of needles. Took a deep breathe, pitched the skin up, closed my eyes and jabbed the needle in my lower abdomen, not too shabby for a newbie who's never self-adminstrated injections. So I want to say if I can, anyone can give themself a shot... I PROMISE it's not that bad! Of course- the tush would be a different story!

Christy-I've given myself a million shots, quite a few in the muscle. Obviously we have to with the fertility, but my MS treatment was all injectable. I have even given myself a shot in the bum although it is a bit challenging! I much rather have it that someone do that for me. So my wonderful dh gets woken up to my bare tush each morning:) The crappy part is doing it day after day and then it starts to hurt!
