Stef - thinking of you and DH in lovely Prague - I got impression from Anastasia and Jana that they could not be more helpful - was RE you saw malek ?? I had lining check in UK on day 11 of cycel and for fresh I had transfer on day 19 - at day 11 my lining was 11mm but was never checked again after that and for FET I had scan check on day 11 and transfer on day 21 !!! - grow embies grow !!!

AFM - only 8 more sleeps till scan !!! - still feeling nauseaus and had new symptom yesterday - mega indegestion - i was glugging the gaviscon out of the bottle - use to suffer before .. hope it was just a blip !! lots of twinges and stretching going on and definitely getting more of a belly - DH is still convinced there is 2 in there !!

Anyway must get sorted for work !!

Carolyn - Thanks! I'm still undecided on the HPT. Part of me wants to, but part of me doesn't. I'll feel a cramp/twinge and just feel so positive and then when I don't feel anything for awhile I start to worry. Ugh! This is the hardest week and it seems to be crawling by! I love that you are counting down by the number of sleeps

Stef - great news with your lining and # of eggs! Got my fingers crossed that you will have lots of embies! Try not to think too much about 3 day vs. blastocyst transfer, it can work either way -- stay positive!! Happy to hear you are enjoying Prague and are feeling very comfortable at your clinic - that is really so important!

Hopeful - only a few more days till Sunday! Hang in there!! Do you go for a bloodtest on Sunday, or are you taking a HPT on that day? Sending you some more PMA to get you through this week!!!

Carolyn - the only thing I can suggest to help minimize the indigestion that seems to help me, is to eat really slowly and think about eating 5x/day instead of the usual 3. You can also watch for foods that trigger it and do your best to avoid them as much as possible -- But, it is unfortunately a symptom that is likely to follow you for the next months...

Bad news - I started bleeding this morning. I was suppose to change my estrogen patches but woke up with AF type cramps. I called the clinic and they told me to go back on bed rest today, continue on my meds, except the aspirin and come in tomorrow for my blood test. The nurse tried to reassure me that they have patients who bleed and are still pregnant, but I'm not feeling to positive right now.

I hope everyone else is doing well and I'll let you know what happens after my appointment tomorrow ... I made it for first thing in the morning.

I emailed my nurse, as she wasn't in yet when I called and she told me 98% of their patients have bleeding and are fine. She also said being on the PIO and estrogen I can't get AF. Ok, as much as I want to believe her, does this sound correct?

Hi Hopeful,

Although you do read here about women getting AF/bleeding during the 2ww, I do think AF is put on hold while taking the hormones. For those that do get AF and/or bleed in early pregnancy, could also be a result of the amount/or lack thereof of estrogen/progesterone that they are taking. I would guess that they will also be checking these levels when you go for your blood test tomorrow.
She is right, lots of women do have bleeding episodes in early pregnancy for any number of reasons.

Hopeful, I am sorry to hear about the bleeding. I do know that the progesterone can give you menstrual like cramps and if you are using suppositories can also irritate your vagina and cause bleeding. Good Luck tomorrow.

We started with 8 eggs, 7 matured, 5 fertilized and now have 4. We will do a 3dt tomorrow. I would like your thoughts on how many to transfer. I would like to increase my chances of pg, however do not want to be too risky. I would love a singleton or twins, anything more scares me. On cycle #1 they retrieved 14 eggs, 5 matured and I ended up with 3 blasts, 1 took but m/c at 9.5wks. Cycle #2 they retrieved 5 eggs, 2 matured and made it to 2dt, resulted in chemical. This DE cycle we started with 8 and are now down to 4. With it only being a 3dt I question if I should transfer more than 2? This is our final cycle, regardless of outcome. Let me know your thoughts.

Hi Stef - That was our dilemma last week and what we decided to go on was the quality. If the 2 best were both good quality blasts we'd go with only 2 and if only 1, or none was good we'd go for 3. We ended up putting 2 back.
I THINK for a 3 day transfer they'd like to see 8 cells, so maybe you can go on the quality? I'll be thinking of you! Good luck!

My doc allowed max transfer of 2. We transferred 2 blasts (day 5) Doc said they were real pretty & wow they both took! Hard decision I know. Go with your gut & like hopeful says w/the best ones.

Stef - I have to agree with Hopeful, go with quality -- if all very good, then put 2 back and freeze the other 2, in case you need them.

With me, I had an FET, which probably made a difference as well.... At first they thawed 2 and only 1 survived, so they thawed 2 more and both survived and then I had 3. I found all this out on the day I arrived, which was my transfer day. I didn't know the quality, or don't remember what she told me, but know they weren't blasts. I just didn't think to get clarification, and just made a gut decision and transferred all 3.
After the transfer, I was of course both worried about having transferred so many and at the same time, extremely hopeful that maybe it just might work this time...Now, I am pregnant with a singleton.

No matter what decision you make, good luck with your transfer and rest afterwards and have a very safe flight back home!!

JDC - what is going on with you and your sister? Hope your cycle is progressing well.

Hi Ladies:

Sorry I have been out of the loop. We have been traveling a great bit this summer. I am now on lupron and BCP. Stop BCP tomorrow and wait for AF. Very nervous. Can't help but worry when had failed ivf's in past.

I have the psychological next week. Anything earth shattering I will find? Don't know what to expect.

Will check on you all more when I return. Have no idea how to text from iphone. Couldn't find message body.

Lots of good stuff going on with all of you. Amazingly wonderful ladies.
