Good news - I'm pregnant!!! The nurse who drew my blood this morning (a 3rd nurse) also told me it is very common for women to bleed with an IVF pregnancy. I'm still taking it easy though

When my nurse called to tell me she was so funny, she hadn't yet gotten my progesterone and estrogen levels back yet, but she wanted to call me with my good news, so she's calling back later to tell me those.

Stef - I hope your transfer went well, I'm anxious to hear how many you decided to implant.

Hopeful - A HUGE CONGRATS to you!!!! That is fantastic news after a worrisome day! Bleeding is quite normal. Enjoy these early days of the pregnancy - it is such a magical time.

Stef - good luck on the transfer. I'll be excited to hear how many you decided upon.

Need to run but I couldn't read Hopeful's news without posting a quick message.

Thank you Kelly and Carolyn. My beta was 9dp5dt and it was 220. I actually just put in a call to the clinic as my nurse forgot to call me back yesterday to tell me the progesterone and estrogen levels and schedule my next appt. My nurse isn't there so now the nurse needs to check with the doctor and see when they want me to come back in, but she said they usually don't have you come back in for a week??? I thought you were suppose to have your second beta done 2-3 days later? Hmmm. I am still spotting, so they have said I still need to take it easy ... guess no 5 mile run for me! J/K

Steph, I am eager to hear how you are doing.

Dear Hopeful,
Congratulations!!!!!!!! What wonderful news after such a trying end to your 2WW. Your beta number sounds very good for 9days past transfer! It could be that they only do 1 Beta and you are going in for a scan next week? I only had 1 Beta. My doctor said my number was strong enough and just to come in for my first scan to see what was going on. But, if you are unsure, then just call again on Monday.

Take it easy and take very good care of yourself!
Again, congratulations! So thrilled for you!

Hope the rest of the egg-heads are also doing well!

Gigi - Welcome back! Hope your mom is on the mend. Good luck with your upcoming cycle!!

My nurse called back and my doctor does want me to go in for a second beta on Monday and then a week later I'll go in for an ultrasound. I'll only be 5 weeks 3 days, does anybody know what I should expect to see at that time? We can't see the heartbeat until 6 weeks, right?

I didn't have my first scan till 6 or 7 weeks. But I think others have had their first scans earlier and can probably let you know what you will see at just over 5 weeks.

Hi Carolyn, your weekend in London sounded so nice! What a treat to have high tea at the Ritz! Sorry you were feeling a bit sick and couldn't fully enjoy it all, but I am sure you soaked up the atmosphere. DH and I have been to the Orangerie in Kensington Gardens for tea a few times and have really enjoyed ourselves.
Yes, if the c-section appt still stands where it was (Oct. 15th), then it is just under 10 weeks to go...to say we are getting a bit nervous is an understatement! But also so very excited at the same time! Have my monthly ob/gyn appt this afternoon and look forward to seeing my baby again!

And look at you, already in the 11th week!...Is your appt on Wed or Thursday this week? Enjoy it!!

Hope all the egg-heads are doing well! Would love to read some updates to see how you all are doing.

Carolyn - I'm definitely jealous of your weekend. It is to bad you couldn't enjoy the food ... bittersweet isn't it? Your next scan will be hear before you know it

Summer - Thanks for the link! Wow, you are getting so close. I can totally understand the nervous and excited at the same time. In fact, that is how I'm feeling right now!

I did get my second beta back, it went from 220 on Friday to 1127 today. Yeah!!! We are very excited. I go back a week from today for our first ultrasound.

YEA!!! Hopeful that sounds wonderful.... CONGRADULATIONS!!! See we are having such positive vibes!

Sorry I have been MIA lately But since I had such a long wait I thought it would be better to keep away from the boards for a while. But I am back! And what good news to come back to! My Donor completed her cyle with another patient and she had over 15 eggs and that patient got her positive yesterday. So I just have to wait on the paper work which my RE didn't want to do until the other parent got a positive. So Hopefully I get to start lupron next week

I feel like time has been standing still

Hopeful--I had a ultrasound at 5 1/2 weeks last time and we could see a slight flicker of a heartbeat, if you don't see it they will have you comeback a week or so later to be sure, but they are checking on how many you got in there:-) Good luck!

Hopeful...great news! Do enjoy these next few weeks.

I am in limbo again. Waiting for AF while on lupron. I just had my period a few weeks ago so not sure how long it will take. They put me on BC again after last cycle for 11 days and lupron for the last 4 days of BC as well. Once AF comes for me and donor, we can begin. I can't stop eating and probably has nothing to do with lupron but telling my hubby that's the reason.

We are done vacations so I can now follow everyone's journey better.

Poohgirl & Gigi - Good to hear from you both and see that your cycles are getting closer.

Gigi, I can relate to the eating all the time. I'm on summer vacation and laying kind of low doing small projects at home (photo albums) and it seems I'm eating every few hours. I'm afraid I won't fit in my clothes after summer vacaton

Steph - I'm eager to hear how everything went.

gigi- welcome back, we missed you! the psych is easy- just questions they ask about your feelings having a donor just making sure you're not crazy.
pooh- glad to see you coming around- sounds like you're getting close. the wait is a pain isn't it? seems like it takes forever.
summer- how's it going? our first mom to pop! how's that nursery?
carolyn- I'm hanging in there. feeling a bit better- tired though & getting plump. 10 weeks already girls can you believe it? are people starting to notice? have you told yet?

afm: on vacation with the dh exploring the new england states by the seat of our pants. in massachusetts today took a beautiful scooner ride on the ocean. tomorrow rhode island & then off to the big apple for the wedding. I told one of the gals that cuts my hair that I was pregnant w/twins & the first thing that came out of her mouth was..."did you use IVF?" I was taken back & without hesitation said "no." i don't know if i can't believe she asked me or that i said no. i'm telling my principal either next fri the 21st or the beginning of the following week. i have to tell my family soon, the secret is getting harder to keep each week.
glad to hear all is pretty good w/everyone. just wanted to drop in & say howdy & let you know you are all in my thoughts. take care girls.
