Hello ladies! Well, well, well. I see that it has been an exciting time for Kas, foreverlove, Annie and berning CONGRATULATIONS ladies!!!!!! :D I am so happy to see the BFPs....OMG that is such a wonderful gift! Berning there are so many sites for you to look at concerning you hcg level at 4wks but betabase.info is a guide/chart that a lot of people reference. I wish all of you ladies the best and I can't wait to see those doubling #s.

lynniecate I am sorry to read about your last u/s but I pray that your next one will bring you great news. I will be praying for you, your little one and your DH.

Karen I am sorry to read that you are having so many scares. :( I pray that everything goes well and that you WILL NOT miscarry! Just make sure you're staying off your feet if possible. Yesterday I spoke to my RE about some of the pains that I'm having periodically and she stressed to me to stay off of my feet when I get those pains, especially in the next few weeks (weeks 9-12 for me). I'm no dr & I'm sure you that you already know to take it easy. I'm just praying that you don't m/c, everything will be fine.

JDC Sorry this a a m/c. :( I was really hoping that everything was going to work out for you and DH. I give you permission to slap your co-worker, I promise it will make you fell so much better! :D People like that really get on my nerves!!!! I hope you're doing ok.

pixel Glad to see that each day is getting better for you. Those baby pangs will probably be there but hang in there, time will help you heal. Enjoy California and have a blast!!! Do you live here in Atlanta?

not hopeless yet Good luck with ER tomorrow!

As for me, I have been sick with "all day sickness" everyday. I may have a few hours out of each day when I feel ok and I take advantage of that time. I can't say that I am happy to be out of work during this time but it would really be hard for me to cope with this sickness and work too. But I guess I would do what I have to do. My RE said I'll probably have a few more weeks of this. Yeah! :( Although I don't feel my best, I take it in stride for my little one. Other than that, I had my last appt w/my RE on yesterday & she said my little one is growing just fine so I am happy. I was nervous again going into the u/s but seeing the little bean on the monitor is so reassuring.

Well Happy Holidays to everyone and blessings to all. Safe travels for those that will be travelling for the holidays and Good Luck to those that are having ER, ET, betas, u/s, etc![/b]

Mitch Thanks for the congrats and for checking up on me!!! I am very happy but still in a a bit of disbelief right now that I could finally actually be pregnant. It doesnt seem real right now!!! I am quite shocked by my numbers but thank you for sharing your betas as they were also very high, so it does put my mind at rest.... Thanks and have a wonderful Christmas, i will be in touch with you again soon X X X X X

Wishing Great to hear from you, sorry you are suffering from the m/s but it sounds like you will be leaving that behind soon, which i'm sure will feel great!!!!

Lynnie Great news on the u/s, this must put your mind at ease over Christmas :D

Yeah, my numbers are high, i would love twins, thats always been my ultimate dream, but i am so grateful this worked i will take however many come along!! I did put back 4 and of course i did assisted hatching so who knows???? I looked at betabase and saw that my numbers were way over the norm for triplets even so i stopped looking.... BUT Mitch has told me her numbers and they were higher than mine and she had twins, so i will focus on that right now!! ALso yes i still have the brown sludge situation, about same amount as ever, so maybe as you said, its one resolving ?

Berning Congrats on the BFP, just in time for Christmas, perfect timing!!! We have had some good results this last few days!!

Karen Like i said before, please take it easy over Christmas and let others cater to you this year!!!

To Have Fun Thanks for my certificate!!!! Yeah, i set our record!!!! thats it now, we will see who breaks it and when.....

To everyone. I know i have skimmed personals tonight and i like to say hey to everyone if i can, but we have been shopping and wrapping all evening so i have just jumped in to wish you all a very MERRY CHRISTMAS,

with lots of love

So guys congrats on the newest BFPs. I am also happy to give you guys some news.

1. I am proud and very happy to say hubby proposed to me at little after midnight which makes a Christmas engagement. We were at my family's house and there it happened. He did it to start all over again. We got married without anyone knowing everything happened so fast. This time we are going to plan our religious marriage ceremony. We got married thru the county clerk.
2. Finally got AF yesterday. This means i am now going to start bcps and hoping we will start stims mid Jan and transfer should be 1st week of Feb. After have 45 days cycles since last IVF it finally is back to 35 days which is like a sign they this cycle will be fine. I have an ultrasound and bw tomorrow morning before work.

Hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas. Take care guys :P

Hey Kas --

Bet you do not need that extra vial of menopur??? I actually have 2, found another kicking around. I do mostly Gonal f with menopur kickers and I am glad i have 11 boxes of gonal just in case......

On your number...it truly is high, but my number was 500 with twins at day 16 on my last BFP earlier this year. The doctor was still thinking that could be just one so she must see high numbers with twins!

Does assisted hatching give them a chance of dividing? If so it could be 8! Oh goodness. I am keeping fingers crossed on twins! I sure hope its not FOUR or MORE!!!

A friend had to use donor egg and a surrogate as she was missing her ovaries and a part of her uterus. She was also missing a kidney and in addition her gall bladder and liver had switched spots. Turns out her Dad had worked in a clean room at IBM when she was conceived and a lot of the children had issues like this. Now can you believe that she had no idea about any of this until she started TTC and after one year of it not working she gets an ultrasound and boom!!!! Anyway, a tangent, but this friend was so frustrated and insisted the doctor put back 4 basts that used donor eggs! Eeep, that is a lot and most doctors will only put back 2. Anyway, the surrogate had agreed to carry up to twins and said they could put four back, but she would only carry two. So of course all 4 take and she had to have a special procedure that is done in only a few places called a "selective reduction". Everyone was really upset, but i understand why the surrogate felt that way. Crazy story eh?

Anyway, I bet its just two! And maybe three. I so can not wait to find out! When is your next beta??????!!!!!!!! SO exciting! Its good you know you are ready for whatever news you get. Do you think it was the lovenox???? I am supposed to be on that do to phospholipid syndrome as soon as we see a heartbeat. Is it easy to take????

Let us know as soon as you get beta two!

I hope everyone is having a nice Christmas day (whether you are celebrating it or not). DH and I are just hanging at home making prime rib! YUM! I am trying to decide if I feel less pregnant, the same or more! (SHOCKING)!

Rosario What great news, especially at Christmas - you will always remember this Christmas now!!!

Berning I wish i could help on the white discharge, but i dont know. All i can say is the estrogen pills we take can cause some discharge so thats a likely explanation. If its concerning you call your RE i the morning. I call mine all the time for stuff, it just puts my mind at rest...

Not Hopeless Yay, congrats on all the eggs!! Thats a great number, cant wait to see how many fertilised!! Hopefully you have still managed to enjoy some of Christmas Day as well!

LynnieYeah the assised hatching is the factor that can cause the splitting so who knows!!! I go on for my 2nd beta tomorrow am so i will update on numbers and maybe speculate further!!!

About the lovenox.... Something was big time different this cycle regarding the implantation. My RE said he thought it was one of 2 things so he put me on 16mg of methylprednisolone daily (continue for up to 6 months) just to suppress the immune system and of course the 40mg Lovenox shots daily. I started taking them day after retrieval and that continues throughout the preg. I also take the baby asprin so my blood is super thin!! I have a big bruise where they drew my blood for the beta and it shocked and scared me a little when i say how big it was as usually i dont even see a mark.... (also my butt is purple from PIO and i think its because my blood is thin)

So the shots are pre-filled subQ, in the stomach, with a stim type needle, although i think the needle is 'blunt' - you need to stab a bit harder than a reg stim shot. It does sting for a few minutes but DONT RUB as it causes HUGE bruises. You will see what i mean, my stomach is purple and with the stim shots i rarely got a bruise (only occasionally and small). Having said all that i think either the methylpred or lovenox has done the trick and i am very grateful and will happily continue to take both throughout!!!!

Will update tomorrow, hope everyone has had a great Christmas. To be honest i am kind of bored (no drinking maybe?) Hopefully next year we will all have our hands full !!!!

Rosario - Congrats on being closer to starting your cycle.

Also - Congrats on your engagement. That should be fun planning your wedding.

not hopeless yet - Congrats on having 8 fertilized eggs. Are you going to be doing a 3 or 5 dt.

Kas - Can't wait to hear your numbers tomorrow. I am kind of wondering maybe your little ones implanted really early because of the AH. Maybe it could be only twins if that happened. Wishing you the best of luck. I am still so excited for you.

Lynnie - How are things going with you. You are having another U/S next week, correct? Keeping my fingers crossed that your little bean is doing fine.

Berning - Congrats on your BFP!!!!
Don't know much about white discharge. Are you on PIO or suppositories? I have heard that ladies using suppositories get lots of gunk down there. Enough to use a panty liner. If it isn't suppositories it probably has to do with your hormones. So when is your next beta?

JDC - How are you doing?

Karen - Hope you didn't have any more scares over Christmas and that you were able to enjoy the holiday.

My Christmas was busy but good. I got to see all my relatives. I am now socialized out. Ready just to sit at home and veg. Of course can't do that because DH wants to go bowling with my family tonight. I don't bowl so I will just sit around and talk. It should be fun but I am ready to have some time to myself. Hope everyone else is doing good and had a Merry Christmas.

Not Hopeless Yet, congrats on a great # of fertilized eggs! Good luck on Tuesday. How many do you think you'll transfer?

Rosario, congratulations on your proposal! Will you have a big wedding ceremony this time? That's a great memory of Christmas 2008. Hope your u/s and b/w went well today.

Wishing4blessings, I hope your m/s gets better soon. I had a rough day yesterday which was a little more challenging because DH and I traveled 2 1/2 hours each way to see family and back last night. I keep hearing that the nausea means a healthy baby, so I'm encouraged by that.

Hope everyone had a great Christmas. Bring on the New Year!

Just a quick one for now....

Not hopeless Great fertilization report!!! Now you get to relax while your little embies are busy dividing away for you!!!

Beta # 2 is in at 6174 (20dpo) My doubling time was 47.16 hours so seems to be on track. I just heard all this on a phone message as my phone got dropped in water last night (what are the odds???) and its screwed. I phoned back my RE but they are on reduced hours today so no one was there, but they want me to call on Monday to schedule an U/S and get my progesterone levels.

I thought most first u/s were week 6 or am i wrong? Next week seems early.... i expected another tough 2ww till u/s?

Hello Ladies-

Happy Holidays to you!!! Still checking on you ladies & I am pleased to see that Kas, Annie, Ber, & Forever got their BFPS!!!!!!!!! What a wonderful blessing at this time of years, take good care of yourselves.

Karen- What a rollercoaster you've been on with this bleeding, my goodness. I pray that everything will work out, this is a true testament to the strength you need to navigate this road of infertility.

JDC-I am very sorry for your situation. The waiting and the hope that is still there despite what they tell you is so difficult. Also, you should have knocked that lady out at work, people don't really think before they speak and unless they are in this situation, everyone has an opinion-ugh.

Chris-Good Luck with the new RE!!!!!!!! I have a good feeling about this time!

As for me...Just when I thought I had grieved and tried to move on, my Dr. was still having me come in to follow the HCG level until is reaches 0. Well is went from 323 to 186, down to 60 a week later, and then the Dr. called on Monday and said the level was back up to 160 (another week later). He of course said not to be optimisitic but to come back in for an ultrasound and more blood and they would possibly need to do methotrexate to initiate m/c as those levels are too low for being 8 weeks preg. So of course while I tried to be realistic, in my heart of hearts I was praying they would see a lil heartbeat on the ultrasound, but on Christmas Eve there was nothing there, and also the level started to drop again. Not to mention I have been steadily bleeding a decent amount for 2 weeks now, and its such a painful reminder everytime I go to the bathroom. My heart hurts and its so hard to keep from crying at the drop of a hat. I just don't understand why this happens, especially because I really have a strong faith and believe that this will happen. I am sorry to bring you ladies down, especially because those positives are such an incredible feeling, but I don't know who else to talk to.

Anyways, I pray that everyone gets the strength they need to battle this infertility because it really wreaks havoc on us all.

Wishing everyone a Happy & Healthy New Year!!!!!!!!!!

Kas - They might want to schedule you for an u/s to just to see how many sac are there. I have heard of this quite a few time. Congrats on the good 2nd beta.

jandc33 - Sorry you are having such a rough time. I have never had a m/c so haven't been there before but I could imagine what you are going through is really hard. Hope things will subside and you HCG level drops to 0.
