Faith77 Thanks for the good wishes. Sorry to hear is that bad for you, but yes the only confort we have is that we are doing it for our babies  I was also doing 10 units of Lupron for 2 weeks before the stims. Once I started stims, they decreased it to 5 units. :)
Hopefully I wont confuse you two Faiths
Faith 03 Yes, I did it! well DH did it, I wanted to jump when it was over because I didn't feel a thing. I told DH to change needles when I was on bed and just come and do it right away and if he saw blood don't tell me just take it out. So when I felt he moved away I asked: Blood? he said no, I finished  I had to make sure the syringe was empty to really believe he did it. I said wow, that's what I was so scare of????? So don't worry, stims are worst
That's a good thing they told you, you are almost ready. Good!
Me: 28, DH: 31

1st IVF 04/09 = BFN
3 frozen embies

08/09 = BFP (Natural)

Thank you all for the warm welcome- I guess we are all in the same boat... good to hear all the positive attitudes, I try my best to keep upbeat, but the meds don't help. Anyway- can anyone tell me where to find a list of the abbreviations? I think I have them most figured out, but I have seen a few I don't know.

Neffi211 & group~~ DH and I are trying to take 1 day at a time, so we have not forced a decision about the # of Embryos to transfer, until we know how many eggs are retrieved, are they good, if so how strong are the embryos, etc... but I know we will have to decide soon. My Dr. says that for our age they will suggest anywhere from 1-3 our choice. What does your doc say and how did you decide, and what were your outcomes, etc... I know...alot of ?'s thanks in advance.

Faith77-- the # of embryos is always a difficult decision. Due to the fact that both DH and I have problems and we never have very many embies, we did transfer 3 for the first three cycles. We finally got our BFP on the third. I was okay transferring 3 becasue I was okay with having multiples. So if you are okay with multiples, then I say go for three, if not then two. It will also depend on the grade of your embies....so go with what your dr recommends, for this last cycle and the one now, I will only transfer two becasue I dont want multiples this time if I can try to avoid it, although in the IVF world you take what you can get!

Here are some abbreviations

DH-dear husband
RE-reproductive endocronologist
ER-egg retrieval
ET- Egg transfer
AFM-- as for me
PIO-- progesterone in oil
AF- aunt flow
bw u/s-- bloodwork and ultrasound
beta is your blood test for pregnancy

I cant think of anymore, but just ask
Me 32 DH 31
DS 3rd try
8 failed cycles
No luck with adoption

Neffi211- Thanks for all the help we are leaning towards 2- but have not set it in stone yet.... there are so many things to consider, I'll keep you updated on what we decide.

I have another question...
Have any of you ever travelled on an airplane with your meds/syringes? We have to fly overnight this Sat and I am nervous about having my meds- I do have a letter from RE but I want to be sure there are no unknown factors in the process.

Hi guys,

Quick question, did anyone start bleeding while on Lupron? The nurse told me that it is totally normal, but it did worry me a bit when after 1 week of no bleeding, i got my period AGAIN. Did this happen to anyone else?

Thanks!

well--we had our ET today. only 2 embryos (out of 10 total) made it to where they wanted them to be. i was a little disappointed but we implanted both of them. one even was hatching. so May 8th will be our blood test. i can't believe i stressed last night over nothing. i think the IUI made me cramp more. anyways--ill be back later for personals just wanted to post that real quick.

MedStudentMom2B-
Were you taking BCP? I ask b/c I started bleeding after I stopped the BCP which was 5 days after I started Lupron, so yes I bled a few days on lupron, but I don't contribute it to the lupron but to stopping the BCP. Hope this helps.

Faith77-- I dont know about the airplane thing....but Im sure there are lots of people that have to carry needles...so dont worry about it.

Mom2luke-sorry that only 2 of your embies made it, but you only need one! Relax and enjoy being PUPO

faith03 - don't be too nervous about the ER. mine wasn't too bad. i felt sore yesterday and today, but i think most of that had to do with the cervical stitch they put in to make transfer easier.

Anyway, they got 13 eggs yesterday and today we found out that 9 fertilized! We were really happy with that number and are hoping to find out we will be able to make a 5-day transfer on Sunday as scheduled. We will have more info tomorrow on how the little guys are progressing.

As far as the trigger shot, that just made me act pregnant (which I suppose makes sense b/c they are injecting you with large amounts of what your body makes when it is pregnant...) sooo...I've eaten chicken fried chicken from Jim N Nicks for 4 meals and it's been delicious :) LOL, I think I deserve it!

The PIO isn't too bad with the numbing cream - definately ask about it if you have to do those injections in the hip. Leave it on for 10-15 minutes and it's not bad at all. (Well, so far. It's been two days....)

faith77 - welcome to the board! this has been a great support to me the further we get in the process. it really helps to be going through this with other people who understand. LOL, and i think we ALL went through the REALLY MOODY phase. it gets better when the stims stop :)

estrellita and neffi - i'll be praying for your good triggers and ER's coming up!

No, I actually wasnt on BCPs. I started 10cc of Lupron exactly 7 days ago (and my AF was 10 days ago) Argh, I hope this is ok. :?

Faith77 - welcome to the board. i think we are very close in dates. I am currently on menopur and follistum. My ER will probably be on the 8th, but they don't know for sure yet.To early. Me and DH are also unexplained fertility with a failed IUI cycle. it really helps to get on here and talk to people who are going through everything you are. people without fertility problems can only be so supportive b/c they just don't understand. good luck with everything and keep us posted. Oh, and the shots do get easier!!! i USED to be a needle phobe!

oh, and if you want to check out my fertility bio, go to my blog...

faith03 - i guess i responded well because after 3 days, they had decreased my stims and towards the end, i was only doing one shot in the evening instead of twice a day. don't worry - the hcg trigger will do some more of the ripening :) my last u/s they said i had 8 or 9 they thought were mature (Saturday) and to do the trigger Sunday and on Tuesday they got 13 mature eggs. don't worry, they'll keep growing - the docs know what they're doing by changing the meds for each person!
