chriss, my friend - heartfelt congratulations on the birth of your boys! So thrilled for you and DH that they are here! Despite NICU and your post-pregnancy troubles, I am sure it was still the best christmas ever, knowing that you were sharing it as a family, at long last.
Thinking of you and hoping you'll soon be well and all healed and strong again and that your little miracles will be home soon sleeping in their own little beds and bringing incredible joy into your home each and every day.
Happy holidays to all the moms and moms-to-be!!! Here's to making our dreams come true in 2010!

Chris - great that the boys are home - so pleased for you and DH!
Had my 32 week scan on Wednesday and babies doing well - weighing approx 4.4lb and 3.8lb so think they may be big ones ! really uncomfortable now though and struggling to sleep
Chriss, so glad to hear the boys are home! While I know it is probably hectic I hope all is going well for you and the boys!
Carolyn, sounds like you are doing well ... aside from the sleeping, indigestion, and constant restroom breaks. I hear you on all 3, especially the indigestion! Hang in there and I'm sure you'll make it to 34 weeks!
I hope everyone else had a great holiday and are doing well!
AFM, my brother's baby was born on Christmas, actually they had to do an emergency C-section. SIL is RH - and it turns out her blood got mixed with his and long story short, his body was starving for oxygen. They had to fly him to Stanford Medical Center and do 3 blood transfusions in the first 24 hours but a week later he is doing much better and we are all relieved. I have my next appointment tomorrow along with the glucose test. At my last appointment the doctor said we'd discuss when I go on bed rest at this appointment. He feels I'm working too many hours and doesn't want to jeopardize anything. I agree, especially after what my brother's little one has gone through!
chriss - welcome home to your boys! "In awe" is a great way to describe the feeling -- enjoy, enjoy, enjoy!
carolyn - not long now....the weights of your babies could be off -- Anna was much smaller than she weighed in at the ultrasounds...but, it is also great that they are so strong already! Get as much rest as you can, it is really hard at the end. Relax as much as possible to keep your body less tense. Did you hear c-section or not?
hopeful - sorry to hear about your SIL and her baby -- I am also Rh-, so I know the risk. Hope they are both doing better. Hope you are well and are getting ready....
sabi - thinking of you! Are you all ready and getting excited??? Hope all is going well with you and your babies.

yep still hanging in there - had email from sabi last week but not heard since so not sure if she has delivered yet ????
Can't believe the boys are one month plus now - are you in more of a routine yet ? and how much sleep are you getting ?
At the moment I am an insomniac - its crazy and don't even feel tired - before i was pregnant I needed like 8+ hours sleep per night otherwise I was the worlds worst - guess its good preparation
Carolyn, with twins you really will be lacking in the sleep department! I am thankful that my husband takes a baby. It's so much work but so worth it. I try to get online when I can, but I seem to be too busy most of the time. How are you feeling? You are doing great. The longer in you, the better for the babies!
XO
Hi Chriss - I'm still here. Sounds like things are going well with your twins ... how are you doing, besides lacking in the sleep department?
Carolyn you seem to moving along quite well, other than the no sleep. Hopefully you aren't to uncomfortable, that is what keeps me from sleeping most nights.
I'm at 28 weeks and if everything continues as is my OB thinks I'll make it 37 weeks. We've been trying to get the room for the nursery cleaned out but with me not lifting much it is a slow process. It has to be done by Thursday as we have a handyman coming out to install a chair rail and paint. My DH offered to paint but the last time he painted the bathroom he got paint everywhere ... light fixtures, tile. I figure we are broke, so whats another $200
chriss,
good to see you around. figured you would be real busy with the boys. is it really crazy, tell us the truth. still having bouts of high blood pressure was put back in the hospital for 2 days. no pre-eclampsia. how is your c section healing? how are you feeling?

Yes, Sabi... It is crazy but wonderful. I never imagined this. You will see... haha! Then we can compare notes. Can't wait. And Sabi... bed rest drove me up the wall! It was FOREVER!!! Then with all the post delivery complications... it's been a long recovery. I am finally moving around. Bed rest can take a toll on your body. I lost muscle tone and now have weak knees. I am beginning to build up stamina. I drove my car for the first time in 4 and 1/2 months! Going to CVS was a BIG deal.
What's happening Carolyn??????????????????? Are we there yet????
sabi - sorry to hear about the extra stays at the hospital! happy to hear you are keeping the pre-e at bay - but it does sound imminent....I had one really bad night of high bp and the next day the doctor decided it was just best to deliver...and within 4 hours of hearing that news, Anna was in my arms...wow -- never even had time to get nervous.
At the end, you do seem to get bigger and bigger. I can't believe it, when I see pictures...
Carolyn - hope you are still hanging in there...or are you a mom to your two little wonders already? Can't wait to hear what you are having.
chriss - You sound really great. I can only imagine how much work it is with your two boys. Is DH taking time off right now? Aren't you just so in love with them?
Hopeful - all the best with the bedrest...Whatever gets done, gets done. Don't worry. We left a lot till the end, then Anna came early...One of these days, we'll finish - but it doesn't really matter now...Just make sure you have your bag packed and ready to go -- I was glad I had at least gotten that done.
Anna is just great. We do have a bit of a routine now, so it makes timing things like cooking dinner, a lot easier...And, she sleeps through the night, which gives me time to catch up on things. She is 16 weeks old today and starting to giggle - so cute, you can't even imagine.
Take good care, everyone!
