Hi all! Remember me?

Wow, I have been the absolute WORST cycle buddy. I'm sorry I've been MIA for so long. It was just one thing after another---site was down, I got really sick, my DS got really sick, I had to travel....

And, if I'm being honest with myself, I think I was scared to post for fear of getting another frowny face next to my name if this cycle also doesn't work. That's no excuse, though. Who among us isn't nervous, scared, hopeful, exhausted.... So, I REALLY, REALLY, REALLY want to apologize for not posting more, and I hope you'll take me back!!!

Neffi: Sooooo good to see you here, my old March '08 cycle bud!! Do you know yet if your FET is a "go" for April?

Franny: How are the BCPs treating you? I felt a little off this go-around on BCPs. You? Oh, and I loooove "The Bachelor"! I will also be watching on Monday night---who can resist?!?

hopeforbabies: Thanks so much for asking about my where-abouts! That was so sweet of you! I'm glad that the stimming is going well and that the Lupron has been kind to you!

misocial: Wow, do you sound busy. I hope they appreciate all your hard work! I hope all is well while you're on BCPs---one step closer to your cycle!

AFM: I had my baseline u/s and b/w yesterday and started my first IM Estrogen shot for my upcoming FET. So.....something is clearly wrong with me because I decided NOT to ice before my husband gave me the shot. Wow, did that hurt! Not sure what I was trying to prove! My next appointment isn't until the 13th--they'll check my lining and if all looks good my FET will be on the 18th. I'm really hoping my little embryo will survive the thaw and decide it wants to stick around for 9 months!

claud i'm thinking of you today!! i hope everything goes well with your RE appointment today, and i cant wait to hear what they say!! oh and i am also trying new thickening dances for you...my dog piper thinks i've lost my mind!!

sara wooooohooooo that is awesome news!! i'm so excited for you! this is going to be your time! hurry up saturday so you'll be PUPO!!! yay yay yay!! oh and as for the wedding...i heard they are getting paid a few million just to have it on tv...plus the whole wedding being paid for, and i'm sure they will throw in the honeymoon too!
as for the autism and ivf...well ive never heard of such a thing either...what did the news story say about it? my DH worked with kids with autism for about 4 years, and what he found out is that since nobody really knows what causes it, the parents will blame it on many things. its very scary, but i dont know how IVF would cause it. there was a post on this board a few weeks ago with a link to an article about how following up on IVF babies as adults, and found that most of them are well adjusted, successful members of society! i will try to find the link for you. its great that we have even more to worry about isnt it??

libby i cant wait to hear how your day 7 SnS went today!! i hope those million of follies are growing nicely and staying together in the size range!! i have a feeling it wont be long now!!

marci hi hun! how are you doing? it does sound like you had a great weekend! i have to admit that even though i am an anti- starbucks gal, all of your talk about it made me want a latte really badly haha. how goes the BCP's? it looks like you will be about a week ahead of me in the stimming and er/et, so hopefully we will share some of the 2ww together!! although i dont want to have to pay my mortage again i really want this month to be at the end already!!

babyluv how was your SnS today?? i hope you have a bunch of follies growing!! i'm sending you all my grow follie grow dust!! thinking of you!!

afm well i got a voicemail from my pharmacy saying that my RE called in my meds for me! wooohoooo i wanna call them back and get my new "baby in a box", but i'm trying to figure out what credit card to put it on haha. being the begining of the month i'm a lil broke like a joke!! i really dont needs my meds yet, but it will be nice to know they are in my fridge...one less stress, and a feeling of one step closer ya know?
oh and i found out last night from DH that we were invited to his friend from work's son's 1st birthday party on saturday! at first i was excited...something to do this weekend, and i really like this guy, but then i realized i wont know anyone else, and its a BABIES birthday party!!! so now i'm already womdering how many other people with babies will be there, and how many times i'll be asked the dreaded questions (i know you all know what those questions are like) "why dont you guys have any kids??" and "when are you gonna have a baby, and whats taking you so long?" ya know no matter how many times i have to deal with stuff like that it never gets easy. usually DH saves me and answers the questions because he knows i will either start to cry or go completely APE SHIT, and start telling strangers to go F themselves hahaha
oh and now i have to figure out what to get a 1 year old baby boy for a present! any ideas? my brother has 2 girls so i dont know anything about boys!!

Turtle: Ugh. I remember those days. Those "Why don't you have kids yet" comments are soooooo annoying. And, sadly, they don't stop. Now we get, "When are you having another?". I also want to tell people to F right off!! Maybe I should start saying, "Ummmm.....I'd love another, you #$#hole!!". As far as gifts for a one-year-old, my DS is 15 months and he LOVES his "big" truck. It's a toy truck that you can push him on or he can push it all around. Just an idea!

Bei: How could I miss you in my last post?!? I'm so sorry to hear about your cancellation. My first IVF cycle was cancelled and I don't think Misocial could have put it any better. It really did feel like I had been robbed of my child. It was tough to go through, and I'm thinking of you!

Supergenius: Too funny about the "Bachelor"/autism link. I don't think there's a link between viewers and autism, just contestants and autism!

Good Morning everyone! I posted yesterday and the site ate my post! SO ANNOYING!! Anyway, my sitter is here for a few hours so I can run some errands so I have to be quick....

Of the 14 eggs retrieved, 12 were ICSI'd and 9 fertilized. I'm really happy with those numbers!! I am scheduled for transfer tomorrow morning for a 3dt. If they all look really good, I'll transfer on Sunday for a 5dt. I'll keep you posted!

Franny-YAH for baby in a box!!! I also love getting the meds early so I don't have to stress like last week with the snow they couldn't deliver my antiobiotics for my ET and I was freaking out (but it worked out since I was pushed back another week!!) Thanks for making up some new dances for me (!!) and at my SnS this morning I was at a 7.2 which my RE was really happy about!! It doesn't look like I'm going to make that 8 before Sunday but as long as my lining doesn't go down to a 4 again once starting PIO I'm all good!!!! Tuesday is going to be the most nerve-racking day ever because that SnS will decide if I move forward with FET or start all over again

Kim-I MISSED YOU!!! I'm crossing everything I got that "Luke" makes the thaw!!! No darth this time around!!!!

Marci-thanks so much for keeping up the amazing graphics and the board!! You are too funny and I also was craving a Starbucks coffee after reading your post!!!

Sarah-That is great news that your embies are dividing like they are supposed to!! Fingers crossed that they continue to develop nicely and they will soon be back in mama!!!

Libby-how was your SnS today? Are you feeling swollen and bloated yet?? That was the worst for me-I felt HUGE and had to hide my belly so that co-workers didn't start rumors!!!

hopeforbabies-how is the Lupron shots going? any headaches are bad side-effects?

AFM...trying to remain calm over the next few days and I go for acupuncture tomorrow and will possibly do some yoga/mediation over the weekend!! If I get anywhere near that 8 but Sunday I will be ECSTATIC!!!! I am just hoping and praying that I make it to the FET this time!!!

Sorry I was gone for so long, crazy busy lately! I will do personals soon, (I am only up to pg10 )

I went to the Dr this past tues. for b/w and sono. They put me on BC (I forget the name) for 10 days. The hope is between my body and the pill telling my eggs to be QUIET! (I hope they listen) Then I will do 450 follistim and 2 shots of Menopur. Seems like an awful lot of drugs to me, but whatever does the job! Hope everyone is doing well!

Quick Question: has anyone with an understim problem ever taken this route, or any other route for that matter?

supergenius I am routeing that your little follies grow nice and plump with eggs for you. Let us know what they say tomorrow at your SnS. My SnS wont be till the 12th and then they will give me another lesson on how to take my stim drugs.

Sara YYYAAAYYY for all 7 eggs not only fertilizing but being top notch in quality!!! Can't wait for Sat. so you can be PUPO. I will be praying for you and your little embies all weekend!

Latrell22 I will keep my fingers crossed that the meds work well for you, but if not I know a lot of ladies have done donor eggs and end up having a beautiful family. Hang in there and try to keep up the PMA.

rlk1/Kim??? Yippe you are back!!!! I am so glad to see you and I never gave up hope that you would so no need for us to take you back because you never really left! I'm sorry to hear you and DS have been sick. My DH & I just got over one too and it wasn't fun. I hope you both are feeling better. Also, OUCH! for not using ice I hope you don't forget for tonight.

Franny I too was so excited to get my "baby in a box". It made me feel like I was finally getting started so I hope you pass on the mortgage and go for the box. As for the b-day party my baby brother accidently got his GF prego 2 years ago. When my nephew turned one he really liked this Sponge Bob mini basketball he got as a gift at his party. Just as a suggestion. I totally understand about the b-day party as I still have a hard time going to my cousin's kid's parties and my nephews. They all joke that they are a party of "oops baby" parents which I don't think is very funny. Ok done venting...sorry. I am sure your DH and friend will understand if you don't want to go. Just hang in there you will be joining them soon!

Marci The list looks awsome and the only thing I could think of to suggest would be to take the "start Lupron today" off for kaybei and Tameka as 2/18 was a little while ago. Just a thought and hang in there the weekend is almost here!

Claudia Great to hear that your lining was really close to 8! I will keep my fingers crossed (and toes, legs, arms, and anything else crossable) that it stays there or grows some more. I still don't have any side effects from the Lupron other then I am drinking so much to keep the headaches away that I have to use the bathroom every 5 minutes. My co-workers must think I have a bladder infection.

Drboots Sorry you and I must have been posting close to the sametime. I'm praying that the BCP will quite your ovaries just fine and I'm not sure about the amounts of stim drugs as i haven't started mine yet but I bet some of these ladies can give you some good advice. I know how you feel about the catching up on the pages I usually don't check it over the weekend so Monday is always a rush to find out how everyone is doing.

Sorry I have been MIA. Shouldn't do that because now I have no clue what is going on. Hopefully I can get time to catch up later.
Things have changed for me. Was going to do the double cycle, my sister cycles and donates her eggs and then I cycle and we transfer the best out of both. My clinic, wasn't giving me any deals on prices. Know I can get stuff cheaper at my local RE but was cycling at an RE closer to my sister. Anyway, I was stressing way too much about the money. Finally I left it up to hubby what we wanted to do. I cycle, my sister cycles, we both cycle or none. He chose just for me to cycle. This way we don't have to go into further debt. Don't know how I really feel about this but it is a relief not having to worry about both cycles. So I start lupron on Friday, stims start on the 23rd and first u/s is on March 29th. Got all my meds the other day. Thought I would have a cheap bill because I already had half the ganirelix I needed, all the follistim and all the menopure but my bill was still $1200. All my drugs include, lupron, ganirelix, follistim, menopure, estrogen suppositories, an estrogen shot, estrogen/progesterone suppositories, Dex, prenatal vit and PIO. I think that is it. Good thing they put everything on a little colored calender or I would never be able to keep it all straight.

kim yay i'm so glad you came back! i totally understand the fear of seeing another sad face next to your name on the boards. ive had 3 of them in a row..i'm ready for some happy faces damnit. everytime i come over to a new board i always question if i should join in or not because sometimes it gets really hard! you are right though...we all feel that way...thats why i always decide to join in because it is really such a wonderful support, and i have met some of the strongest woman i will ever know from these boards. as crazy as it sounds i think some of the woman i met in this forum will be a part of my life forever now. think of how personal we all get with each other...things most of my family and closest friends dont even know about...how could that bond not be forever? :::::opening my arms:::::: you are always welcome in my family!!!
oh yeah and the BCP's are messing with me this time...i never had any side effects from them in the past, but of course the time i'm on them the longest is the time they are bothering me. i keep spotting, and my tongue feels funny and tingly all the time. oh but my favorite one is that the skin tone above my upper lip is getting dark....like i have a freakin 5oclock shadow all the time, minus the hair!!! cute huh??

claud oh thank god!! good news!! 7.5 is great! i know how nervous you are going to be this next week. hopefully acupuncture will help keep you calm, and the meditation can help you envision your lining preparing itself for your beautiful baby!! when do you start PIO? keep breathing mama..i am here for you!!

afm so i gave in and called the pharmacy...well good thing i did because i got confused...it can never be easy right? so the lady was going over my list of meds and everything sounded good until she said "menopur"! i said ummmm ive used repronex for all of my other cycles..that must be a mistake because i had a long conversation with my nurse about how i had 15 vials of repronex left from last cycle so i didnt need a bunch ordered for me this time. well the pharmacy lady didnt have a clue obviously. so i told her to wait and i would call my nurse. so after waiting a while for my nurse to call back i find out that my RE changed her mind and decided that she thought menopur would work better for me this cycle because it gets absorbed in the body better then repronex! ummm ok i thought they were the same drugs just different names? and ummmm if she thought it would work better then why am i just now switching over to it on the 4TH TIME??? so i decided to wait till tomorrow to call back the pharmacy to complete my order because i'm already sick of thinking about it all.
so i asked my nurse if they would take my extra repronex and donate it to a woman without insurance, and she said it was illegal to do that in NH....huh? ooookkkk.....then she said i should hold on to them anyway incase i need to switch back to repronex in the future! ahhhh i'm so confused...if they now think menopur is better then why would they ever switch me back to repronex if i need to do another cycle after this? it just doesnt make sense, and now i am just rambling so i will stop! haha
soooo baby in a box will have to wait till tomorrow, and now with the extra menopur i didnt know i needed the cable bill may not be paid this month either!! haha noooooooooo!!!!! what would i do without crap tv???
oh speaking of TV...i'm a huge office fan, and tonight is the episode where jim and pam have their baby. my DH was worried about me watching it, but i was like...ummm its not real...its actors on tv....i'm not THAT crazy!! am i?? haha i'm sure i will cry though because i am now a huge wuss and cry at everything....such fun to be around!!
