Good morning everyone (well morning for me most of you its afternoon already!)

Amanda- Happy Birthday sweetie! I know what you mean about childhood plans being dashed. I always wanted a big family (like 4 or 5 kids) and it seems I may not realize that. I think the extra trip to the beach sounds great, I wish me and my DH could join you. Enjoy your special day!

Krys- Fingers and toes crossed for a BFP for you!

Chili- Yay for starting your Lupron and stims! So what dosages did the RE put you on? Any idea of when your ER is tentatively scheduled for?

Lauren1171- Wow! I'm sorry that they pushed back your D&C and cycle so far. LOL about the RE making a photo party of your next procedures. You are pretty brave for saying yes but at the same time are helping them to improve the ART world. Props to you!

Klinger- Keep taking those baby steps and you will be ready to start before you know it!

dvcantu- dont worry about your ER being pushed back a day because that means one more day for your eggs to mature and that means you'll get more eggs to work with. :)

Annashope- Hope your apt with your RE goes well. You are a great woman for being so supportive to your sister!

Franny- How did your stims go last night?

Tiger- Glad you are keeping up your PMA over your 2ww. Are you feeling any symptoms? When are you going to POAS? Where is your in-laws cabin? With everyone getting ready to take a trip somewhere it makes me wish DH and I were also. Only thing we have planned is our friend's son's birthday party on Sunday and my MIL is staying with us Friday and Saturday. So I guess that's pretty much it.

Lou- Got a question for you...does the BP meds cause blood thinning. I am bruising the heck out of myself and I did not bruise at all last cycle when I wasnt on the BP meds. Thanks!

AFM- Ugh finally starting to feel my ovaries cooking in there. I hope they give me better info after tomorrows u/s sound then they did yesterday.

good afternoon everyone!!

tiger its so good to hear from you! the 10th will be here soon i promise! try to have fun this weekend ok? i'm sure being stuck in a cabin with the inlaws doesnt sound like fun, but bring a good book and good tunes and relax! i have everything crossed a million times over for you! its gotta be your time!! and yes..you will all have to keep me outta crazytown...i'll admit i'm the worst visitor to the damn place no matter how many times i tell myself i wont go there...it just seems my hormones drag me there! xoxo

amanda happy birthday!!! please dont be sad. ive had 4 birthdays pass me by while TTC. i know its really hard. and its easy to think of all the what if's, but you'll be pregnant when your 31 now, and thats pretty damn close to your life plan!! after starting IVF a year ago me and DH decided once we had our baby we would move to NY to be close to all of my family (we dont have any family here in NH, and we liked it that way) but we figured we would want the support system of my parents after seeing all the help they are with my brother and SIL with their 2 daughters...well here we are still in NH...no baby..not even pregnant...our lives are just kinda on hold. there is this saying that says "life is what happens when you are making plans" and its pretty much the story of my life since starting IVF. ((((((((((((((big hugs for the birthday girl)))))))))))))))) :D

wondercat be safe tomorrow!! i just heard on the news that buzzards bay is gonna get hit! i'm thinking of you and your family, and hope everyone stays safe!! good thing you stocked up at the store!! xoxo

krys good luck today!!!!

chili its so good to see you over here!!! i cant believe you are already stimming!! i just started last night too so we can be stim buddies!! woooohoooo!!! we are gonna get our BFP's this time damnit!! xoxo :D

lauren i cant believe you have to wait till the end of october for you D&C!!! i would call and see if they can put you on a list to call if there are any cancellations, and keep checking! i'm so sorry you have to wait that long...that just sucks! your story about saying yes to letting other people watch made me think of my ET back in april...i was lying on the bed in this tiny room they do transfers in and the ultrasound tech came in and asked if she could bring a student in with her, and i said ok...then the nurse came in and asked if a student could come in with her, and i said ok...then the RE came in and asked if one of the student embryolgists could come in and watch...at that point i was like...ummmm why the hell not!! hahaha by the time i was having the transfer done there were 8 people in this tiny room with most of them starting at my vajayjay!!! hahahaha i felt like a clown car! after they were all gone and i was waiting in the room alone i looked over at DH and said...what the hell just happened?? hahaha he was like...ummm you just kept saying yes! hahaha we were cracking up!

afm so i am officially stimming!! wooohooo! i never used follistim before (always used gonal-f) so i had to get used to the new pen, but it was no big deal! it did take me forever to mix 4 vials of the menupor...my lord thats alot of meds!! then all this talk about not getting all the meds out of the vials got me all paranoid and i keep trying to get every lil drop out of those damn vials! haha
oh i ordered these super cute new etnies sneakers online, and they came today!! i'm so excited haha now it needs to cool down so i can show them off!! :D
i hope everyone has a great day!

****much love always****

Well.... I got the call and I'm not to sure
how to feel. Today was day 13 after my three
day egg transfer. Sorry I don't know any of the
short forms lol...
My beta was only 10, my doctor is telling me
to remain hopeful but that number is soo low
so now I have to go back tomorrow evening for
another beta and wait for results on Saturday. This
is craziness I can't handle all this waiting..but
I guess I've waited this long what's a couple more days.
Today is my dads birthday I was looking so forward
to telling him he was finally going to be a grandpa..
Oh well... My fingers and toes are crossed for all of you..

Krys- Dont give up yet especially since he made you come in early to test. Remember that your beta was suppose to be tomorrow so it might be a higher number on Saturday's call. Also I've heard of a lot of ladies that started off with very low, very slow doubling betas that resulted in successful pregnancies. You have to stay positive and pray that your little ones are fighters and will continue to grow!

Hey Teressa,
thanks for your encouragement.. It really does help.
I've been obsessing all day over other ladies posts
that also had very low Beta numbers. There's a few success
stories out there so I'm hoping I can be one of the next.
Hopefully a better update on Saturday.

krys - as long as it is 60% higher in two days you should be fine, another girl on my previous group started out with a 7 and was pregnant with twins. Keep the positive attitude up, I know it is hard since there is a.. you are pregnant but... good luck!

Karin - so glad to hear the good news about your donor!

Wondercat - fingers crossed for your DH to get the job!!!!!!!!

nbfun- doing the AF dance for you!

turtle - wow brave girl going with 300 menopur and yes this WILL be your lucky cycle! Grow follies!

hope forbabies- great number of follicles!!!

annashope - so brave of you to go with your sister, I completely understand you being happy and sad about it! it will work!

klinger - another step there! I am having a tough time waiting around for things to happen...

Lauren - if you are in Boston have you looked into the free IVF study, Boston IVF was doing it. I am sorry to hear you have to wait so long... hey your vajayjay will be famous :) after IVF and a baby it doesn't phase me anymore, sure come take a look and poke around everyone has done it ;) hihihihi

chili - good for you for trying to have a baby at 46, I wish you all the luck!

amanda - I completely understand but look on the bright side, how many girls go through life and never find such a great man? It took me 35 years and having been married to an idiot to find the right guy and today is our anniversary! I could not be more blessed. Life is not fair, I know. My DH had my SD before his cancer with his evil ex with no problems whatsoever, we find each other fall in love and have the perfect marriage BUT... have to go through IVF now because he had cancer (thank God he survived). So try to look on the positive side :) happy birthday!

Tiger - 9/10 will be here soon and you will tell us about your BFP!!!! My DH had testicular cancer stage 4, most people don't survive it. He did, thanks to God, but the agressive chemo killed his counts, motility and morphology and he had to have one testicle removed. So he can ejaculate enough sperm for IVF but only with ICSI, we don't have any chance of a natural conception :( but he is here and we are happy so what if we have to spend the price of a Suburban to have kids ;) I was cracking up at your comment of not being able to drink with your in laws there. I stopped drinking and at dinner with in laws last night I sure needed a couple of glasses of wine!!!

I am going insane waiting for something to happen. Next week more testing and this is dragging by... today is our anniversary and we went for sushi lunch :) yummy! Ok I need to vent some. After spending $30,000 out of pocket for 2 IVFs we finally asked In laws for help. My mom who does not have much money is letting us not pay her our house loan we have with her (we borrowed some $ for down payment) so we can afford this. On the other hand my in laws have quite a bit of money but their answer was, NO we can't help you with your IVF because we just bought a new Lexus and a new Yukon ($120,000 cash for both cars) and we are going to Italy next month. So last night I had to hear how my FIL went to the dealer and got all chrome grill, door handles and whatever to pimp his ride but oh no not even $500 for us to help with grandchild!!! I am seriously hurt over this. They have thrown away more than our IVF money so far on stupid losses like selling a car he kept for 6 mos and other stuff. Then MIL makes sure we pay her $190.34 every month for the loan with them for the house, yep you read right she has a cow if we leave out the 34 cents. oh and last night she charged me for the pics she picked up at Costco for me, never mind the pics were for her!!!!!!!!! ok I will get off my soap box but I am getting seriously pissed at them...

Rio - That is just insane!!! My parents and inlaws both do not have money, but if we needed money they would all scrape together whatever possible for us! I would be pissed they they did not even give you a little help. Not to mention that 34 cents. I would not bring the kids to see them much if I were you. And I go to Boston IVF and I have not heard of this study. I will look into it if this does not work. But they probably don't want me for the study after 5 failed cycles lol.

Riogirl

I am in a very similar situation but a bit opposite. I had cervical cancer two years ago right after DH and I were married and by a miracle of God I found a doctor who was able to leave my uterus in tact but I have no cervix (barely any) and so natural conception would be next to impossible but then we find out that DH has terrible morphology issues so IVF is all we can to at this point. My In-laws have helped us so much financially with lending us money for meds when we were short and things like that....My own parents on the other hand cannot find it in their heart to give us a dime.... I am talking my own mother and father!!! so instead they make insensitive comments about how "DH and I should just quit and give up and go on with our life" They don't understand that having a family "is our life" it makes me so mad because my parents also constantly traveling abroad and things like that. Hang in there you are not alone.

AFM saw the RE today and we are game for our FET...only bummer is that we have to wait for the next AF which is ANOTHER 24 long days :( but regardless we are moving forward and will be doing our FET in October as planned. I am so excited to get started!!!! hopefully October is the month!!!! 10 years ago I conceived with my son on Oct 13th so maybe it will be another magical October for me

Teresa – I’m just not sure any more about the symptoms…I just think I make it up! So, I’m trying not to focus on that too much. I think I am going to POAS. I’m thinking that I will POAS the morning of my beta on 9/10. I just don’t think if I POAS any earlier that it won’t be accurate. My in-laws cabin is in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. It’s a beautiful area and beautiful lake. Do you get along with your MIL? Do you see her very often? Sending you tons of hugs! I won’t be with you this weekend on the board, but I will be thinking of you lots and excited to see how everything went when I am back on Monday.

Franny- That’s what I am trying to focus on…I have 3 good books for the weekend and I’m hoping that I will be able to sneak away! I don’t think you’re the worst visitor to crazy town…maybe you just follow all of us there! I think most of us are frequent visitors…tee hee. When is your first U/S? I can’t wait to see how many follies you are growing in there with all the stims!!! I hear you on the life planning part. Where in NY would you like to move and is that still the plan? I have a feeling you will be planning that soon! This IS GOING TO BE YOUR TIME!!! If I have anything to say about it! BTW, take a pic of your new shoes!

Krys- a positive beta is the first good sign. I’ve seen lots of slow starters on this board that make it to healthy pregnancies! It’s not about where you start, but how your numbers double. So, you will know more in a few days, but until then, keep up your PMA. That’s what you need right now, lots of visualization and positive thoughts!

Riogirl – HAPPY ANNIVERSARY! Thanks for sharing your story. It’s great to hear that DH is cancer free! I can tell he is an amazing man and he must bring so much strength to your marriage. If you can get through cancer, you two will fight this battle together and win for sure! Oh man, sounds like you can relate to the in-laws. I really wish it was different, but it’s not and it’s really hard! This is going to be the longest weekend ever without margaritas! I’m already getting anxious! Yikes. You’re going to have to drag me out of crazy town twice next week! Oh my gosh, that’s horrible! I really can’t believe your in-laws and if they are fortunate to have extra money that they wouldn’t help you at all! What does DH say? Wow, I’m shocked. Do they have any idea how much money you have spent?

Annashope – This is just ridiculous. What is wrong with people? This is family and not just spending money on frivolous things. What could be more important than trying to have a family? I am so sorry that you are going through this with your parents. Do you ever talk to your mom about it?

AFM: nothing new since this morning. Just getting ready for the trip and packing! I won’t be on the boards this weekend because we don’t have internet at the cabin, but I will be back on Monday and looking forward to all the updates!

Lots of love!

Hi All,
Finally have time for personals.

Tiger- I keeping everything crossed for you!!! Hoping 3rd time is the charm for you!! Good Luck!!! :)

Teresa- I'm on .1 Lupron, 450iu Follistim, and 150iu Menopure. And the added bonus of Lupron twice a day. Whoo Hoo!!! Don't know when ER is because we're not sure if I'll get any eggs. We'll see. I'll keep you posted.Good luck with your US.

Lou- What did you mean about over or under stimmed with Lupron? I'm on it now. Just curious. Have a great time in NY!! 8)

Franny- Hey Stim Buddy!!! I hope you're right dammit!!! I just mixed my 3 vials of Menopure. Whoo-hoo. Lots of shots now. By the way there's always a little left in the Follistim vial. The nurse said to save it in case you need a little more at the end. Good Luck xoxoxo

Krys- I'm keeping everything crossed for you!!!

Rio Girl- Happy Anniversary!!! Thanks for the vote of confidence.

Hey anyone get headaches from the Lupron. I've had one since I started on Tuesday. Such fun!!

Love hugs and baby dust to all,

Teresa - Glad you're feeling your ovaries cooking now, good luck with your SnS today!

Tammy - Any updates? Been thinking about you wondering if your ER is going to be moved up.

Ryann - Any updates from yesterday's SnS?

Lauren1171 - that is a long wait for the D&C. Hope they can move you up on the schedule some!

Amanda - Happy belated birthday! Hope you had a great day with your sweetheart!

Tiger - Have fun at the cabin and sorry you won't be able to have some cocktails. I can't wait till 9/10 gets here to hear your great results!

Krys - Congrats on a positive beta! Hopefully we'll be watching it rise beautifully over the next few days. Good luck with the next beta and let us know the results when you get them!

riogirl - Oy, my sympathy on those in-laws! We help out DH's parents at times financially and my parents are farmers so we wouldn't ask either of them for help, but I know both sets of parents would help us in any way possible if they could. I'll just never understand some people! 34 cents, ridiculous!

annashope - I can't imagine how hurtful that must feel to have your own parents say things like that. I'm so sorry you have to deal with that type of behavior on top of what you & DH have already gone through.

Hope everyone has a great holiday weekend!

riogirl - Happy anniversary! Ours was Aug. 31 - 8 years! I really, really sympathize on your in-laws. Mine don't have a lot of money, but whatever they do get they spend foolishly and on themselves despite a lot of lip service about helping their kids. To illustrate (and speaking of weddings) before we got married they were sure to tell us often and at great length about how they were taking out an equity loan on their house to help us out because EVERYTHING they do is for their kids. They were going to pay for the rehearsal dinner, the liquor, and give us cash towards our honeymoon and whatever other expenses needed to be covered. Keep in mind, we never asked for this help they volunteered. Also keep in mind that through the years they have had no problem "borrowing" money from their kids, including charging about $400 to my husband's credit card while on vacation that they did not pay back. This was when my husband was 22 and working about 50 hours a week bartending to pay for our apartment and the college he was attending full-time.

But we had to hear about the sacrifices they made for their kids... Every. Single. Day. As the date approached, slowly they started telling us they could pay for less and less of the things they had promised until they were only doing the rehearsal dinner - careful to frequently point out that they didn't have a lot of money so we shouldn't expect much. When we got to their house a week before the wedding, my FIL proceeded to give us the grand tour of where that equity loan actually went: New Ford Explorer, new pull-out couch, new Bosch dishwasher, new gas stove (they eat out about 6 nights a week), new built-in microwave, new deck furniture, new grill, new shed (wired for electricity), new built-in sprinkler system, new mattress (only thing I didn't grudge them, their old one was horrible), new bed frame, new 54" television, new front-loading washer & dryer... I'm sure there are other things I can't even remember now, but you get the idea. He literally took us around telling us what every item cost ("Only $700 for the dishwasher - we got a real good deal on it!") while I practically sprained a lip clamping them down so hard to keep from screaming. When it suits them they can be very generous - they just spend money so... STUPIDLY!

Geez, talk about a soapbox and this was all 8 years ago!!! WTF, 34 cents?? Next time give your MIL $191 and ask for change... :)

Blang4d- Congrats on starting BCP!

Wondercat- Any news on your hubby's job?

Klinger- I havent got my offical call from the SnS this morning but the RE said he was thinking the ER will probably be closer to Tues now. I go back tomorrow and probably Sunday for another round of B/W and U/S

Chili- Sounds like they are loading you up on the Stims too so I KNOW you will get eggies. As for the Lupron headaches I had a few during my supression too. Try to stay hydrated and hopefully that will help. I'm was doing a 33oz bottle of Smart water and a bottle of gateraid everyday and that seemed to help.

Anna- I've got prayers out for you that your FET in Oct will be lucky too! Maybe Oct is your special month for BFPs. :)

rio- What testing are you having done next week? Hope you had a great anniversary and I'm sorry the in-laws are being so selfish!

Krys- My thoughts are with you today and I'm praying for a doubled number for tomorrow's results!
