Hi girls,

I'm currently on day five of the 2ww during a medicated FET cycle. I was just wondering if it hasn't worked, am I likely to get AF before my test date? Why I'm asking is I can't work out how AF can happen whilst taking HRT to keep the womb lining thick. Surely as long as I'm taking the meds AF can't happen. Am I right?
I would normally be due on thursday and I'm normally mega late anyway but it's something I can't get my head round!
Also, has anyone else had constipation during the 2ww? I just can't go!

Thanks!

Claire - On my first 2 cycles (fresh) my AF came before test date. On my FET (taking HRT) it didn't start 'til after test date. I don't know if the HRT made it stay away, or just coincidence. So, no help at all really !

Thanks for your thoughts Sandra, I suppose I'll just have to wait and see. Feeling AF-ish though although many girls say they get BFP's with these feelings.
I hope your next go is a success, three times without any luck is hard going. I really hope your dreams come true.
And congrats on keeping this site updated, you do a great job!

Hi Claire ... I'm sure there have been just as many girls getting BFPs with AF pains, as there have those getting BFNs ... There doesn't seem to be any accounting for it at all. Just keep up the PMA and positive visualisation. I know it's hard, but do it for baby embies !

I have a question along the same lines... and it seems there is no reason for it. but... have people that have had BFP feel AF coming on? I sometimes feel crampy and then I think what the heck... another miserable ending. Then I start thinking crazy thoughts, yesterday i felt positive, now today I feel very negative. I am due to test on the 29th. and i usually am early.. The stress is killing me!!!

Hi Brooke - it's so awful waiting isn't it but you're in good company and everyone knows how you feel so you've got lots of support (hope it feels that way). I'm a great believer in not reading too much into symptoms as the same symptoms can mean different things for different people however I can reassure you that AF pains do not mean it's all over. I had really bad AF pains so much so that I went out and bought a bottle of coke and huge bar of galaxy and consumed the lot (strictly off the list before) and then my period didn't arrive the next day, or the next day or the next day. I was so shocked to discover a BFP and now I'm waiting for my early pregnancy scan so relax and don't worry. Try not to overanalyse everything and just be patient (easier said I know) but any pains you have are not a sure fail so look after yourself and rest as much as possible.

Thank you for the words of support. I will try , it is so hard we tried IUI eight times and each time was the same big dissapointment!! It just feels sometimes that I am being punished for something and I can not be a biological mother. It sounds harsh but that is how I feel sometimes.. But that should be over. from now on POsitive thoughts, postive thoughts!!!

Congrats Cheryl. It is nice to hear! Good luck on the scan, you will see a heatlhy baby!!

On the day of transfer my MD said why dont you go ahead and test on Friday and then he changed his mind and said Sat. then Friday then Sat. So i just thought he was confused and could test on Friday. I actually called today to check, I was fine on testing a day earlier :D But.. they said Sat. So now please change the thread to the 30th. Ughh!!! 5 more night!!!! Sorry for the confusion, not really trying to be sneaky

Hello Lades!

Hope y'all had a great weekend...I realize though that for most of you its probably already Tuesday :? ...oh well I still hope you enjoyed the weekend. LOL

Brooke, I also am feeling the same way as you...really positive one day and then I start to worry a lot. But like Cheryl said, I really try hard not to read into any symptoms and so far so good. I figure it will be the same outcome weather I have these symptoms or not so I really try not to pay attention, keeps me sane that way.

Hey Claire, how are you doing? Hope all is well and your days are flying by! Hope this isn’t TMI, but I am experiencing just he opposite as you. No problem with going to the bathroom and actually have been feeling really bloated and gassy. But try and drink some pickle juice, that always helps things along!!

Went in for a blood test to check my progesterone today, so hopefully that is all good. Just 14 days to go until my test...It seems so long but school starts on Wednesday so I hope the weeks will go by very quickly. Hope everyone is doing fine and staying positive! Take care.

Hi girls,

I'm eight days into the 2ww now and I just thought I'd share my thoughts!
I'm feeling okay about things at the moment, quite positive really - don't know whether that's a good thing or not!
My boobs are sore, particularly the nipples and although I had quite bad cramps for a few days they seemed to have eased although there's still a sensation there. And my tummy region feels itchy
I don't really feel AF-ish as such, I don't feel the moody side of PMT at the mo, I just feel okay.
I can't believe how tough the 2ww is though, it's driving me mad!
Talk about noting every twinge and feeling!
I'm supposed to be testing on august 6, doubt I'll make that somehow!
I hope everyone else is coping alright with the 2ww.
Positive thoughts to everyone,
love claire x

Claire,
Does your MD make you wait longer than 2W to test, cuz the 6th is so long away?
I have had some bad cramps, not quite sure if they are AF cramps BC they are almost like waves, somewhat painful then they go away. I talked to my friend who has a 5mos old using IUI and she said she felt a bad wave of cramps about 7-10 after ovulating and then that was it. Got a BFP a week or so later. So maybe the cramps are a good sign!

Glad to hear you ladies are feeling so positive. I also have stayed very positive the past 8 days and although I haven't noticed any major symptoms, my nipples have been very tender. Very unusual for me. OH well, I have been handling my 2.5 week wait very well (if I may say so myself :D ) I thought I would be going mad but surprisingly very calm. :!:

Brooke and Claire, I wish you two a very peaceful rest of the week and next week! Keep up the PMA and faith. Lots of baby dust your way and very good luck Brooke for Saturday!!

Take Care!
