Amanda: Maribel is a true doll baby!!! Thanks for taking time to share the photos..

Ryann: So glad to hear that Bella and Dylan may be coming home soon...and that you and DH have your routine to see them as much as possible until then.

Annashope: Excellent that you are finished with cervix checks....just a week or two and Paul will be in your arms!! It has been a lot of work, but you have done a great job baking him!! Wow...when I think back to where we were this time last year--so much has changed, and for the better!! I am so happy for you.

Blair: Glad that all went well at your OB appt today and that pregnancy massages may be covered--how awesome!! And feeling them move is so awesome and reassuring, I agree. :-)

Ashley: So sorry for your fall...glad no contractions or bleeding. How did all go at your appt today?

Kat: So sorry about your friend. ((HUGS)) to you and DF.

Stephanie: The boys are adorable!! So glad to hear you are able to get out and about with them.

KatieB: So exciting to hear that you heard the HB. It is wonderful that you are able to be so included during the pregnancy...8/12 will be around the corner and then you will know if you will be bringing Olivia or Jakob home!! (Love both the names!!)

Kay: We are all here for you and send our support and prayers.

Lou: Sorry about the stomach bug...ugh...but your belly photo looks great! Hope that you are all recovered now.

Rio: My dearest bump buddy.....I hope that you are able to sleep tonight...I know you must be so excited about (probably) meeting your little girl tomorrow. I am so excited and thrilled for you!! Lots of hugs and positive energy your way.

AFM: Appt went fairly well yesterday at MFM. Both babies were swimming around and put on a nice show. Baby Boy is a full 1 lb now and Baby Girl is close behind at 14 oz. Her head and legs were a tad shorter than his, but the peri said not to worry because it was less than 15%. Their HBs were great and everything looks fine anatomically. We go back in one month for the fetal echocardiogram. The stupid hematoma is still there (grrrrr) at 4 cm, but peri didn't seem too worried about it. My cervix is still really long 4.8 which he said was amazing at this stage so hopefully we won't have any preterm worries (please). We were supposed to meet with my OB afterwards, but instead were scheduled with a different OB in the practice. We discussed my disability and although I've had no bleeding in a few weeks, because I am so easily exhausted she is writing for me to be out 2 more weeks to give me time to get my energy back. (Hmmm...I kinda figured things would be getting worse as I get bigger, but maybe if I move around a bit I will build up more energy). She also asked if I could return to work 1/2 time, which would be great, but I don't know if my employer will go for it. I am a full 22 weeks today! Went to the pool again this evening to beat the heat and it was really nice.

Wow to think I might be meeting our little princess tomorrow! I will keep you guys posted apparently there is no room at the hospital and that might dictate if we wait until Friday or do it tomorrow, I don't think I can last till Tuesday neither does OB. Thank you girls for being so supportive and so wonderful through all this! I hope she arrives healthy and no extra help needed!!!!!!!!

Sonya Brogan is absolutely perfect! Great hearing from you

Rio I will be thinking about you today! Good luck and I hope and pray all goes well with your c-sec and everyone is healthy. Keep us posted...I can't believe after you deliver it will be my turn :D

Margi I am so glad your appt went well and that the babies are doing so well. I agree when I think back to where we were last summer it is amazing how things have changed for both of us :) :) So do you have any names in mind yet? I am glad you were given another two weeks to get your strength back I think it may help after so many weeks of bedrest. I am definitely feeling that. I only did 1 month of bedrest and still I feel like I am recovering from it every day and every day I am able to do a little more....of course not much now since I am feeling pretty heavy...lol

Amanda Maribel is so beautiful

Ryan I am so glad to hear Bella and Dylan are doing well and will be coming home soon. They are both so beautiful and its great that you are able to spend so much time with them although I am sure it is also exhausting.

Ashley your fall sounds terrible and so painful...how are you feeling? So happy to hear the baby is doing well and all is ok

Lou your pictures continue to be awesome...you are such a beautiful lady and only 9lb..wow you will be in great shape after the baby is born. So sorry to hear about the stomach flu its just terrible but glad to hear you are feeling better

AFM 35 weeks!!!! :D :D :D Hard to believe we have made it to here since our L & D scare 5 weeks ago (Praise God!) I am also in this terrible heat wave since we live 30 outside of Philadelphia so today it is supposed to be 98 degrees and I have no intentions of leaving the house except to pick up DS from camp. False alarm!

Still here and still preggers! Went to OB today and he didn't seem to want it today unless I was in horrible pain which I am not. I think I lost my mucus plug this morning. He said maybe tomorrow or Saturday and he said he would like to deliver past 39 weeks because of possible respiratory distress and with my GD her lungs might not be mature. I am very confused because I always thought that with GD they want to schedule you between 38 and 39 weeks and with our son he was delivered at the point I am today to the date. So I asked for Friday and Friday at 7:30 am PST it is! Please keep your prayers and thoughts with us for a healthy baby and healthy mommy! I feel nervous because I want to make sure I am doing the right thing for her but I also don't want to risk going into labor and risking our health in other ways... for those girls with scheduled c-sec how far along were you?

Annas - yes my dear you are next! 35 weeks - woohooo congratulations for keeping baby Paul in the oven for so long that is wonderful! 98 degrees, come hang out with me it is 65 here!

Sonya - GORGEOUS picture awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww! He is so handsome!

SD - how are you feeling? Pooped from running after toddler and being preggers? Is your stalker gone? How is your niece?

Margi - do you have any pics? Good job on the long cervix!!! SDon't move around too much though and take it easy. Congrats on 22 weeks so close to 24!!!!

Baby blue - send some heat this way! It is foggy and crummy and 65 here but for being pregnant it is ok! I wish I could go in that pool of yours ;)

Amanda - Maribel is such a cutie pie, those cheeks are just asking for kisses! Are you able to eat enough? GOod job on bfeeding it is no easy task but so worth it!

Ryann - I am so happy to hear your twins are so healthy and so loved, it must be so hard for you to go home without them, they will be home soon, they will ace all their tests! Fingers crossed for Sunday! I was thinking of you when I caught up on laundry yesterday and washed my hair!!!

Mellow - you and Marlo are always in my prayers, is DH back yet?

Gina how are those boys?

Lou - hope you feel all better!

Blair - come on and tell us your names!!!!!!!!! We won't tell! SHHHHHHHHHHH!

Bliss - have you talked to DH about taking it easy with racing now?

Leora - how is that AC doing? Keeping you cool?

Sweetpea - hope you are all healed up! No mora camping trips though at least for a little while!!! When do you find out the flavor of bean?

Karen Scorpio - how is Gemma? We are dying for pics!!!

Karen vancouver give us an update when you can!

We are now between Elizabeth, Giselle, Cecilia and Nicole! Argh I wish we could decide!!!

Hey ladies!

Rio- I thought about you all day. So you are still anxiously waiting. Who says a c-section takes all the fun and surprise out of birth?! :-) I am not really going to ask DH to quit sailing. I was just in a funk that day due to too little sleep and the sadness of such a tragic loss so close to home (literally and figuratively). DH is much more at risk driving to work every day than he is sailing. Sailing is his passion and I couldn't take it away.

Margi- yay for a good visit and a potential return to work soon.

Ryann- did you go to FCI? I have a girlfriend who has twin girls and went there. She loved it. I ask because I have another girlfriend doing IUI who is considering FCI as a next step.

D and Me- that pic is adorable!

Klingler- Maribel is just precious. Love the little outfit!

AFM- had my NT scan today and everything looked perfect. I mean everything! Little fingers and toes, brain, bones, tummy, heart, bladder, etc. The u/s scared me at first because now that the baby is getting bigger the heart is less visible. But it was there and beating away at a fast but healthy 167. Its hard to tell in the ticker, but we got one shot of the LO "waving" at us and the tech added text that says "Hi Mom and Dad". So cute! I can't believe its going to be another 7 weeks before I see my baby.

We asked about the gender because we could see a very clear line protruding between his/her legs. Tech says that they all protrude there at this age and that some studies say that girls protrude horizontally and boys protrude vertically. Based on that I would guess girl (it was as horizontal as it gets), but the tech said it was way too early to even guess. Any of you have any experience with that? How did it turn out?

UPDATE- disregard the gender question. Found a great site about early gender prediction. Turns out its wrong 50% of the time. Sounds like a coin flip at to me. I can do that at home and don't need any special training or certification for it!

Hi ladies! I have a quick question for those of you who have formula fed your little ones. I feel extremely guilty about having to make this decision but due to Christian's jaundice and the latching issues (we also have a case of thrush) I am contemplating formula feeding exclusively. He was able to get the colostrum and 21 days of breastmilk (combined with formula.) He is taking the formula just fine and I am really tired of pumping. I know that sounds selfish but with sanitizing all the equipment, trying to keep up milk flow....I just don't think I want to do it anymore. I feel horrible about this. Maybe because everyone and their mother tells me how the baby will be more ill and will not be as intelligent as breastfed babies.

My Mom has been supportive but thinks I should continue to pump for at least 5-6 more months. Do any of you know or have children that were formula fed and turned out ok?? LOL! My husband and all 3 of his brothers were and they were not ill and they all have college degrees. I know this sounds crazy but I'm really depressed that the breastfeeding went so badly. It is something I really wanted to do but with all the issues, it has been very complicated. We saw a lactation specialist and of course, he was an angel and breast fed for 20 minutes on each side. When i got him home and tried it....well, forget it. He was not having it. I want feeding time to be stress free and exciting for the both of us. What do you all think? Do you think I should continue to pump or in your opinion, do you think he has already received a lot of the benefits of the first few weeks of breast milk. Any advice would be appreciated!! :D :D

Kaylie- I have a Masters Degree and graduated summa cum laude. I was bottle fed from day one. Pretty sure my Mom may have snuck a cigarette or two in during pregnancy as well (it was the 70s). LOL. :D :D :D I've never been there, but your baby will be best off with a happy and comfortable Mom. Like Mamaboo said on the other thread about stuff you need for a newborn, you have to be a good Mom, not a perfect Mom! :-)

I don't recommend smoking though. Especially if you decide to continue to breast feed. ;-)

Rio - Good luck tomorrow morning!! I'm so excited that your day has finally arrived! :D I'll be thinking of you and wishing you a safe & speedy delivery. Be sure to post pics as soon as you can! As for your question - my c-sec was originally scheduled for 39w but due to a scheduling conflict @ the hospital we had ours at 38w5d.

Kaylie - Don't beat yourself up for wanting to switch to formula. You've given Christian some awesome benefits from those early days & weeks of bfing but if it's stressful and/or continually difficult, it won't be a good experience for either of you. Please don't let anyone guilt you into continuing or tell you stories of how formula fed babies arent as healthy, smart, etc. It's just not true and you can just as easily bond while bottlefeeding as you can with breastfeeding. Do what you need to hun to enjoy feeding your little guy again.

Blissful - Great news on an awesome NT scan! And I love the new ticker picture!

Sonya - That pic of Brogan is just gorgeous! What a handsome little guy you have there!

Annashope - Woo-hoo for 35 weeks!! I'm so happy that you've made it this far!! And I hear you on the heat. I'm 20 minutes from Philly (South Jersey) and it's unbearable to even go outside. Even our dog has shortened his walks because it's so hot out.

Margi - You're just cranking through these weeks now. I can't even imagine how tiring it would be to come off of all of that bedrest. Just doing the modified bed rest made coming back to "real life" difficult, I'd have such a hard time coming off of strict bed rest. You're doing such a great job though mama!

Just got home from the hospital. I had some contractions and uterine irritability after the procedure, but things look okay now. On bed rest.
More later.

Rio: I had GD and a large baby my first time around and they did a scheduled c-section at 39w6d. My regular OB will not do a c-section before 39 weeks unless medically imperative.

Leora, I hope that you are ok with me posting this here for you....please know I am doing this out of love and affection for you and so that others can send prayers and positive thoughts for you and your precious boys.

I am friends with Leora on a different board (one for Jewish parents). I don't visit the site everyday, but news was posted that Leora delivered her boy via c-section on 7/19 (not sure the exact time given the time difference) by a facebook friend of hers. I know the boys were 500 grams and 700 grams and are currently "stable" although they are only 24 weeks. They also mentioned that she is recovery well today. There is a group of Jewish women baking Challah for her tomorrow (on Jewish Shabbat) and her boys with a Jewish prayer for healing--over 40 women around the world. I am not a great baker, but I plan on doing my best tomorrow for her.

I am sure any prayers and positive thoughts and energy would be welcome by her and her DH, David, during this tremendously difficult time.

I myself am in tears for her and praying hard for her dear little boys.

And for Baby Girl (all of those names are beautiful, I am sure you will know which one feels "right")...I am praying that she is born healthy and strong into her mother's loving arms tomorrow.
