I assume so but I haven't talked to my RE yet, just my nurse. They'll call me first of the week to set up a post IVF appointment w/ my RE to discuss everything.

We simply can't afford another fresh IVF cycle so we'll talk to the RE about the FET and find out just how good that frozen embryo is. You know, they say only half of them usually thaw correctly or whatever to then transfer so not sure if it's going to be worth the $$ if it doesn't even make it out of thaw. No way to know until we actually try, I guess, but we'll have more information after we talk to the RE.

Nancy - So sorry about your BFN. Take some time for yourself this weeked and cry it out. Hopefully your follow up appointment with your RE goes well and your Frostie makes it. It only takes one. Keep the faith. <<hugs>>

Lauren - bonfire night is when England celebrates Guy Fawkes unsuccessful attempt to overthrow the government in 1605 by trying to blow up parliament. We build fires and burn stuffed dummies of guy Fawkes and light fireworks.

Nancy - I wish you all the best in the world and success whatever you decide to do!

Rio/Karen - I wish I got half the number of eggs of a higher quality. Mine could not have been that great as only 14 fertilised. :(

Afm - woke up this morning with a mild headache. Still feeling down, one more sleep. DH got me the painkillers last night and some lovely Chinese food, which I am going to finish off now!

Good morning ladies! Hope everyone is doing well! It finally got below 80 degrees here and actually all the way down to the 40's so I am in heaven!! I finally feel like the holidays are right around the corner and that makes me soooo happy!!

Osi - good luck tomorrow! Sounds like all of your symptoms are leading up to a great result tomorrow. And the bonfire sounds like a blast!!

Rio - Thanks for thinking of me!! Yeah, the 5 ectopics were pretty awful. The pain was bad, but the process of going through beta hell so many times was so much worse. I'm going to take some of your advice and ask my dr about some of the other supplements. Not sure how much it helps taking it this late in the game, but it cant hurt. I am acupuncture 3 times a week so hoping that helps. I hope you have an awesome retrieval day and that they are all mature, look fabulous and fertilize into super embies!!! I have a very strong feeling that this is your cycle!!

Tammy - I hope that you are enjoying your relaxation. I'm a little jealous! :) My DH is great but works long hours and also goes to school full time so I'm left to my own devices a lot. Maybe you can rent Bill out as the perfect hubby to have around after IVF procedures? He sounds like a sweetheart!

Eyes - Im so sorry for all that you have gone through. It really does suck!

Nancy - I wish you had gotten a different result. If you do try the FET, it is a much easier process and so much less expensive. My thoughts are with you.

Karin - your donor sounds fabulous! It seems like you really lucked out with someone who is putting in as much effort as you would have. When I was younger, I donated eggs to an infertile couple and I was completely dedicated to making the best possible outcome. It helps when you know someone really wants to help!! I never imagined I would be in this position so many years later, needing IVF but I am hoping some of that karma comes back. I'm praying that everything works out for you.

Ester - How are you doing stim twin? I love that term! I always wanted to be a twin when I was growing up. I used to read the Sweet Valley High books in gradeschool and it always looked like such great fun to have someone so close to you. Who knows? Maybe with this process, I will have twins! It seems to be a trend on this board. :)

Lauren - I asked my mom who works in insurance and she agrees! The 4 try option is per carrier so it sounds like you have plenty of tries left in you. Lucky girl!!! Hopefully, you wont need them but its nice to have that back up plan.

Amesy - Congratulations!! The best sight in the world is seeing that 2nd line come up. Sooo happy for you!!!

AFM - I had b/w done yesterday for day 4 counts. The numbers didn't look too great. My E2 level was only at a 92 on day 4. My first cycle day 4 was close to 200. So they increased my dosage of Follistim to 300 and I go in tomorrow morning for a SnS. I'm hoping that does the trick and I see some better results tomorrow. I was a little upset that I don't seem to be responding as well this cycle, but my NP said not to worry yet. They are trying a whole new protocol and trying to grow low and slow for better egg quality. Still makes me nervous though.

Love and hugs to everyone I missed!

Just a quick update and then personals later because I'm taking care of 3 kids at my house this morning!

Early u/s went well. I am now 5 weeks and 3 days (as of yesterday) and we saw the yolk sac. No heartbeat yet but RE said it is too early. Definitely NOT twins so....I'm so happy with a singleton!

At least I know it is progressing well. I can't believe I'm really pregnant. Some days it is hard to fathom. If I didn't have the most SORE boobs I've ever had in my life, I really wouldn't know. Amazingly, I'm still so bloated from the ER. My RE said that it can take a few months to subside and by that time, my uterus will replace it.

Anyway, I hope you all are well today. Looking forward to doing personals later.

:D :D :D

estimated ER is 10/12
estimated Emb. Transfer is 10/15-10/17 :) [/color]
Beta #1 - 123 :)
Beta #2 scheduled for Thursday 10/28 - 256 :)
U/S scheduled for 11/15!!! + Heartbeat. Pregnant with one little angel!

Lauren - I noticed your post about insurance. All states are different so you will have to find out what your state mandate says. For IL if you have an HMO not a self pay insurance plan. It will cover 4 IVF cycles. The clause is that if you already had and IVF cycle that say you paid out of pocket or another insurance plan has paid for, it counts against the 4. I had 1 did one cycle under a self pay plan, then moved to an HMO and they would only cover 3 cycles. If the insurance is considered a self pay plan, it doesn't have to go by the state mandate.

Hope that might help a little. I have driven myself crazy trying to figure out what insurance will pay and what it won't. i have also gone through 4 insurance policy's to cover my IVF crap. Now I am officially paying fully out of pocket.

Hi ladies. I'm a bit confused and need some input from anyone who has heard of this. So at my u/s this AM a new doc/RE that I haven't ever seen or heard of before comes in to do it (my clinic is large and RE's rotate). Right away I sense a weird kind of energy, but I just greet him nicely and move onto seeing my follies. I noticed he was moving a bit faster than the other RE's. Yesterday I had atleast 5 that were noted by another doc to be 18mm. Today, according to this new RE I have one 19mm and one 20mm and then the rest were 16 or less...most being 12's-13's....and a bunch less than 10mm. I was kind of like, WTF? Where did my 18's go? And he said my lining is at 14mm, type 1...yesterday it was 11mm, type 1. Of course I'm no doctor but I didn't think follies could just disappear/shrink by more than 5mm in less than 24 hours? Seems very odd. And I think my lining might be too thick if it is really 14mm. My last transfer it was 10mm...which my RE said was perfect. Doc/RE today said I might trigger tonight and transfer Monday. Depends on my b/w today. I'm waiting for that call. I have lots of questions for my nurse when she does call! Also my E2 yesterday as 1580. Not crazy high for the number of follies that I have. :?:

It's hard when you get rushed through an appointment.I can't help you with what you're going through but I can say that at my last sns the doc never bothered to measure all my follies... just made sure there were enough to justify trigger and sent me on my way. My lining was at 14mm and the doctor said it was great. Did you write down your questions for the nurse? I hope you get the answers you are looking for.

Amesy.........Congrats on your BFP!!! :D :D :D.

Kaylie........Soooooo exciting to see your little one!

Rio.......can't wait to hear about those eggies! :D

To.have.fun.......stalk me all u want! I'm happy to share! Nice to hear from u!

Osi.....girl....I am so sorry about your headaches. I hope u feel better soon. I can relate....it sucks. Good luck tomorrow! It's gonna be a good day!

Nancy & Eyes......I am so sorry girls. We all know how you're feeling. So frustrating. HUGE (((HUGS)))

Cheri.....I think that good kharma is coming your way! :D

Tammy......Hey PUPO girl!

Klinger......can u believe your PREGGO????? :D :D :D

Sorry about the short personals....or lack of. Still on the IPAD. I waited all day yesterday for a call from my RE. Finally, I called them and the nurse said she had a total of 12 follies. That didn't sound like a lot for a 22 yr old. Although she's only
done 4 days of stims. The nurse said that it was normal for day 4. What do u guys think? I'm happy we have a dozen....but I was hoping for 2 dozen. I don't mean to sound ungrateful...but we have alot of money riding on this cycle...30k. This will most likely be the last no matter the results. Can more pop up? So can u guys pray....dance....wish or whatever for more follies for us???

Last night we went out on a Duffy boat in the harbor with 10 of our friends and had wine, cheese and crackers. Then we went to True Foods Kitchen for dinner. It was a great night. All of our friend have kid a except us and one other couple. The other couple are newlyweds and are ttc too. One of the girls is 6 mos pregnant with her 4th. Then.....another couple announced that they r 3 mos pregnant with their 2nd. Of course, I was sitting between the two. I'm happy for them, but I now I can't help but think...was it really necessary to share their good news on my birthday dinner when they and everyone there knows we r struggling with ttc? They all know we're doing ivf....not the details....but they know we've tried many times. So....i've always heard that pregnancy happens in 3's. Maybe this is the one for us! Hoping that some of that pregnancy stuff rubbed off on me!

Enjoy your weekend!

Hi Girls.... Sorry I didnt get on yesterday I was so tired it was a long ET, had another issue... But in the end got 2 6cell embies transferred... They were in the good column... Hope this is good, I still dont know what is good and what isnt so good... when the Dr was doing transfer yesterday she said I was very red and tender from the stitch and doesnt recommend it if I have to do another transfer... Go figure I went through the pain of getting the stitch not to need it... ;( Just glad that i got the transfer.... So hoping this is the one, just nervous since it was another Frozen cycle...

Eyes- SO sorry, I know its not eaasy when they tell you... (hugs)

rypell- So sorry that you have to go through this rolleroaster and then a whole different Dr tells you he would go a different route... Its been along year for you, I do agree since you are already on Lupron you should see where it goes and then maybe get one more opinion to see what they say... But I think that when you go for ET this will be the one and then you wont have to worry about seeing another Dr... :)

Amesy- Congrats :)

Karin1- Happy Early Birthday... :)

Karenthescorpio- Sounds like great Follies :)

Chelle- That is awesome that your Dr will take you on his lunch break, that is a Great Dr... :) You dont get that too often...

Dandme- Great Beta

nancyb- So sorry (hugs)

Kaylie- So excited that you got to see the baby :)

Sorry for those I missed, I am thinking of you all ( hugs)

Have a great day! :)
