Noodle: Yup, my sister's pregnancysies were all healthy. For some reason, it took her body a long time to build up the HCG. She even got her period!! So, hang in there. It might be the your embryo implanted later. Doing IVF, we all test pretty early compared to "normal pregnancies".
Hopeful: 20th is right around the corner!!
Suzhan: How are you feeling?? Are you starting to get morning sickness? I can't wait until the 26th!!!
I about freaked out last night when I tried to do my trigger shot. I was supposed to give it at 11pm but I ended up calling DH to come home from work to do it for me. I ended up getting it an hour late! WILL THIS BE A PROBLEM???

Jovigal: Just make sure to call your RE and let him know what time you did the shot..they may push your retrieval forward an hour..I would just check with them first.
jovigal- I ditto what cinders said. the retrieval needs to be adjusted to ensure the follicles have released the eggs. My retrieval didn't go so well they said it could have possibly been the HCG not working or not being injected correctly, out of 12 follicles we only retrieved 5 eggs. Just let them know and they'll adjust retrieval time. cinders- thanks, it helps to hear positives stories.
these new shots are not fun, i'm just starting to feel effects, normal???

Jovi - I double ditto what everyone's said - make sure you call your RE ASAP and let them know you did the shot 1 hour late as it very well could make a difference in your egg retrieval time. I can't believe you're already to ER - best of luck to you! I wish you great success in getting some really healthy and strong eggies!
Noodle - just a few more day 'til your second beta - I'm continue to keep you in my thoughts! How do you feel (besides being nervous, of course!)
Vicky - Like everyone has said, my heart goes out to you because I know how stressful this waiting must be for you. But, please don't give up hope yet. I know you're looking for more examples from the IVF world of ladies in your situation with a good outcome. I'm posting something that might be of help on your other thread.
Cindy - Overall, I feel great. I haven't gained any weight yet but my pants are still starting to get tight in the waist. Many of the symptons still come and go - I'm fatigued a lot more though (it's hard to stay up later than 9 p.m. or get up before 7 a.m.) and sometimes if I eat the wrong thing or eat too much I get pretty nauseous (or the opposite, if I go too long without eating, I feel a bit queazy.) The queaziness gets worse when I'm tired I've noticed too. BB's now sore all the time and my one bra that fits seems to be getting a work out. A little bit of crampiness every now and then still too. How about you? How are you feeling? How's the rash? Can 12/26 come any sooner?
As for me, while I was reallly excited to hear my 3rd hcg was 11,000, I was also kinda worried about the level being too high (because there's a complication called a molar pregnancy that causes hcg levels to rise abnormally high and fast) but everyone seems to think it's more likely a very strong singleton or mulitples causing it to go up so fast. I talked to my RE's office and they want to stick with the plan of waiting until 12/27 to find out what's going on....so more endless waiting for us. Thank goodness for Christmas - helps the time pass!
Mia - I was pretty jazzed to hear AF made her visit early as I just know January will be your lucky month!
Oh, and Noodle, the PIO shots can be a little challenging - I rub them in every time no matter what and it seems to help. What symptoms are you having? It could be the PIO or the bfp causing them, so probably a good sign either way.
Noodle--I didn't think I was having any problems from the PIO shots. Hardly any bruising on the skin and they really weren't too painful. But I've now been off of them for about 2 weeks now and my heinie is still sore. I think it must be really deep muscle bruises--I can really feel them when I try to do any cardio of any kind (that really helps my motivation for exercise, let me tell you!) . Anyway, the point of this ramble is that I didn't massage them at all after the shots since they weren't bothering me at the time, but now kind of wish I had as I think that would have alleveated some of the pain I'm in now. Wow, sorry for the long answer to a short question!!!!!
Happy weekend!! I wish I could sleep in! DH and I are so horny that being in the bed at the same time doesn't work so well! (sorry TMI)
Jovigal- hope EC goes well today!!! keep us posted.
Suzhan- I feel better today but the side effects really didn't hit me until the afternoon yesterday! You must be excited about your numbers!Yeah! I think no matter what we're all going to worry until the delivery day! numbers too high or too low, breasts hurt, don't hurt, ect.................
Meg- Cardio???? what's that again, i would need a ton of motivation at this point, any pain at all, "ooops, gotta stop"
Thanks all the PIO info, massaging definately helps, I did last night, not the night before, and the non massaged side still hurts! Bloating is down today jeans actually fit, I'm sure they won't by the afternoon. Monday cannot come soon enough, PMA, PMA, PMA!

Suzhan: Glad your feeling well!! I wish I could say I didn't put weight on. I'm already wearing a belly band. I gained 10pds since starting invitro. Everything is so tight and my face is really bloated. My rash is still there, but better...I guess it takes time to fade. I've been doing the new shots since Tues, but I'm leary because it took over a week for the reaction to the other shots to kick in. I'm starting to get a little tired and my bbs are starting to get sore. I can't wait to the 26th just to make sure all is well..you can't switch yours a day early???
Where did you get the belly band? Even though I haven't gained pounds, my pants are getting tight. Plus, I started this round of IVF w/ an extra 8-10 pounds from my first two cycles....so really, I'm at the same place!
We're out of town for Christmas and don't get back until the 26th (after their ultrasound hours), so that's why I have to wait until the 27th.....I wish I could get the scan earlier, but they're pretty insistent about waiting until after Christmas.
Noodle - extra good wishes to you for the second beta! I hope it's super strong tomorrow!
Hey guys, EC went well, very painful, but tolerable. They retrieved 5 eggs which is great for me with one ovary. RE would have been happy with 3. I called the nurse today and they said I had fertilization (don't know how many though). I go back Tuesday for the transfer. They ended up doing ICSI. I'm sure I'll find out more on Tuesday. I'm still somewhat droggy from yesterday. They didn't put me under but the drugs they used made me not care too much. DH said I kept asking him the same things over and over. Oh, and by the way, you know where I was worried about the taking the trigger shot one hour late? RE said that was ok that we had about a 3 hour window to work with. That's a relief.
Noodle, good luck with your BW tomorrow!!!
I hope you guys have a great Sunday!!!

Suzhan: My friend loaned me 2 belly bands, but they have them at all the maternity stores..they're about $22 each. They really help!!! An extra 10 pds really makes life uncomfortable!!! Happy 6 weeks today!!! I hope the next week goes quick for us!!
Jovigal: Great news on ER!!! Good luck on Tues and let us know how it goes!!
