AFM: I had ER yesterday... they got 16 eggs... !!!! Today they will call me at some point to tell me how many fertilized and when the transfer will be... I'm very excited, but this time I'm very bloated!!! and in pain when I walk... And I work walking from side to side... so it hasn't been a very nice monday... Yesterday I couldn't post.. I was knocked out by pain meds... sorry... Will post with updates!!

Just wanted to pop in and say hi to everyone and see how everyone is doing. Work has been very busy and I started back at the gym so I haven't had much free time.

I want to to say congrats on the bfp's and so sorry for the bfn's.

Leora- Congrats on being PUPO!! And yes IVF drugs are super expensive. I don't know how much mine would have cost this last time I only paid $150 on my copay. I actually didn't even have to pay for that since my boss pays for my co-pays too. The first time I ever did IVF back when I was 32, I paid and it was well over $3,000.00 for my cycle.

Longtimeivfer-congrats on 16 eggs!! Can't wait to here those fertilization results.

Leorira- Girl you see what we be talking about being OOP for IVF. it sucks big time coz they are damn expensive. but oh well if its a dream then you chase it hoping to get it one day. As for DS you can try the banks in the us. I think most of them will ship out of the country that is if your clinic will even accept it. But at this point you dont need them coz you are PUPO.
And thanks hope this is it for me.
AFM this morning we go in for the iui and the stupid nurse says oh i cant fine your cervix. i was told its easy to find it. So she fambles around in and out, in and out and DH says lool you will get an organism with all that in and out. Here am on the bed yelling at her coz she is hursting like shit. Then she says oh am i pinching you or just pressure? WTF. it hurts. so she stops and goes to get the doc. he comes in and boom he is done before i even know it. So what was she doing? experiementing with me? oh well hope it is all worth it at the end. so the 2ww begins.

Leora.. you are so lucky to only pay $4 for your meds - I pay more than that for generic blood pressure meds from Walmart! LOL You will be able to POAS very soon... patience is certainly not one of our virtues on this board, huh?

nwquiz.. why would he have the nurse doing that anywyay? You aren't a guinea pig for her and you don't need to take the chance of her giving you an infection poking around in there. Besides, I am sure you are paying big bucks for the doc to do it, not her! Try to relax now and enjoy being PUPO with Leora!

Jeib... when I was at my RE's office last, I saw a medical article lying on his desk (he kept me there waiting for 20 minutes, so I had time to snoop) but it was about how smoking affects the male factor also. Apparently it decreases count and lessens morphology. So definitely have him quit and start taking some vitamins to boost everything up! My DH hates vitamins - complains they taste nasty, so I had to get him the gummy ones... this is what I get for marrying a child But I tell him it is a small price to pay, considering I am the one going through the physical and emotional torture more than him!

Anton... you always have such a sunny disposition. You seem so happy! I know it can't be easy in the face of infertility. I pray you are blessed many times for your good attitude!

AFM.. 11 dpo today and just waiting for AF. I had horrible night sweats last night. I was so cold, but sweating - sheets were soaked. I didn't have a fever either. This hasn't happened to me in a long time. Must be hormonal reaction to all the meds I have been taking. I'm not on any progesterone supplements though... maybe my body is fighting back! LOL I did breakdown and POAS on Saturday, but it was stupid since I was only 9 dpo. Of course it was negative, but I swore if I held it up at the right angle... but then I think any of us can imagine a line if we look at it long enough! Anyway, didn't want to waste my money or emotions on doing another one!

The beta test says it is BFN again

Even though I knew it for three days (I did breakdown and POAS on Friday and my AF came on Saturday), it still hurts. This time, my doctor voluntarily proposed a new appointment. I wonder what she wants to say? Now she has some data and results from different protocols to compare. I hope she find something new to work with me.

I hope to have the frozen embryo place back next cycle, but the doctor doesn’t want me to take any medication, not even BCPs until the next time I see her (March 16). I wonder why. Is someone familiar with FET cycle? How does it look like?

Kerri: I think FET cycles vary from clinic to clinic. Mine had me on BCP for 3 weeks and Lupron for 4 weeks. I read a little while ago that some clinics don't do Lupron at all. My clinic likes to have complete control over the cycle and therefore, completely stops your natural cycle and builds it from scratch their way. However, it worked for me before so I will trust them completely. I'm not saying another way won't work, but I'm not gonna try and fix something that ain't broken.

Carol: I never saw a doctor any of the times I did IUI. Do you? I saw him for consult then 100% nurses for each SnS and for the procedure. And no more POASing?! You sure?! I could send you some in the mail?!

Jeib: Yes, I am getting excited! I will feel better after my SnS tomorrow when I get to see how things are growing…I totally understand your desire to keep moving forward. I have felt the same. Good job being strong with BF about getting his swimmers in shape. Maybe he can take some vitamins and CoQ10?-(comes in gummy form, Carol!) Couldn’t hurt. AF is here! Awesome….going in soon for your baseline?

Samantha: Being tired is so normal…and sounds like you had rough time with ER and ET. Plus progesterone can take a toll on you. Take it easy…let those embies snuggle in. Maybe they are making you so tired! POAS did you say? Some of us POAS “our trigger out” meaning testing early to see the known false positive that shows around 5-7dpo. If you test everyday you can watch it fade and then you know any positive you see is a true positive. If you aren’t really “that nuts” you can wait until 10-14dpo and POAS. By then trigger should be gone. Beware—different tests have different levels of sensitivity.

Longtimerivf: 16 is awesome! Congratulations and rest yourself. Can’t wait to hear your fert. report.

Margi you are relentless! I love it! Do you secretly have stock in the POAS industry and you get like 5 cents everytime you talk one of us into it? LOL That would be a great racket, wouldn't it? Leora I am so excited you are PUPO and I just feel that this is gonna work for you. Lots of prayers your way. Also your comment on the cost of meds and how expensive they are here is the US well I did not have any coverage for IVF meds and I was also a poor responder and needed a lot of menopur-8 vials a day so it was costing me $500 A DAY!!! it was just outrageous. I wish I could pay more taxes and have a better health care coverage.

Leora – that’s what was weird about my HSG, the RE asked, have they had issues with the catheder for any of my IUI’s and I said, no, they’ve all gone well. So, it was weird that she couldn’t figure it out! Yeah for being pupo my friend! I’m so glad that you have a few very good quality ones there!

Justsolost – I’m so glad that you have all of the support of the board. I know it can be hard to keep it all inside!

Hotgreentea – I love acupuncture. I don’t know if it works, but it really helps with the stress and the relaxation! I recommend it! I usually splurge with a big glass of wine.

Margi – that’s super weird about the blood. I don’t know, but hope you are doing okay!

Lauren – sorry for the delay, but I’m so excited that you are starting soon! That’s hysterical about the alarm! At least you know it works 

AFM: I have my SnS tomorrow morning. Really looking forward to it. I’ve been on Estrodriol to help with my lining, so I am interested and curious to see if it has been helping. I expect to have my IUI’s on 2/23 and 2/24. We are going to Michigan this weekend to go skiing! I am really looking forward to it. I’ve been eating so healthy the last 2 months and I’m really sick of vegetables and rice. Ugh. I’m eating it right now and I want to vomit. I just want a big grilled cheese sandwich and French fries! Lots of love to all of you!

Thanks to all of you in helping me keep my PMA when at times it reverted to CMA (crappy mental attitude - as coined by one of our sisters), Now I'm starting to believe that I really AM pregnant and in the RIGHT organ! The beta today was 3,754 (doubling time of 38.51)!! Hurray!!
