Jennjenn, congrats on your healthy little one! It was a little sad for me to leave my RE after 3 1/2 years, but kind of nice to "graduate". Hope some of the early symptoms aren't too bad for you (m/s, tiredness, etc).

Gina, good to hear from you. Have fun listening to the h/b today. I can't believe you're 12 weeks already!

Lynniecat, yeah! It's good to hear that your bleeding was nothing to be too concerned about. That uterus must be working hard to grow bigger. It's amazing how the body can stretch and grow to make this all happen.

Hi Detroit, congrats on a good first u/s. I was taken off estrogen at around 7 weeks I think, and was never on aspirin or endometrin. Sorry I'm not much help!

Woo hoo Karen! It must be such a relief to have a break from the spotting. I don't know where to begin in picking out colors or designs. There are so many to choose from and hard until we find out whether it's a boy or girl. I also felt overwhelmed with all of the attention when I told people our news, but it was touching to see how many friends and co-workers were truly happy for us. Several of them cried, I think because they know how long I've struggled and all of the treatments I went through before and with the IVF. Anyway, hopefully you can start sharing your news when it feels right to you. You may not be able to hide it much longer! :D

NY4thtry, I think I responded to you on your other post, but how wonderful to have such great numbers! Good luck with your trigger tomorrow. I'm saying a prayer for you.

Babyhope, sorry for your big scare. As others have mentioned, it seems the spotting is normal for some and it sounds like your 2 looked fine when you had the u/s. I can't speak from experience on the spotting but I know it must be scary. I hope some of the others who have had the same issue can offer you some reassurance. The "flashing" you saw sounds like a very good sign.

Rosario, good luck! Let's hope you are suppressed and can get going!

Chris, so just a couple more weeks before stims. Yeah! And if I remember you said you stim quickly, so hopefully you'll go for ER soon in the early weeks of Feb.

Kas and Much Hope HELP!

Post by babyhope1 »

I went in for a u/s today scared from the clear leaking fluid and spotting since my major bleed on Saturday...they saw the twins with two heartbeats then discovered a third baby! Triplets. My ovaries are enlarged to the size of a softball!! I am so bloated, I am to be a couch potato at this time, the risks of CP and retardation and everything scare me, I had to make this choice before with IVF and number of embies, we decided two but that failed...here we are...IUI post IVF with triplets. IUI was cheaper! HA! We think that the bleed may be the third one dissapearing...it was too far away from the wand to see a heartbeat at this time...I am not sure what to make of this, certainly am not complaining, I refer to them as children of God, as this is truly a miracle.

Hey ladies,

I will post a little later or tomorrow, but i just wanted to stop by as i get withdrawal symptoms if i dont check in with you ladies!!!!!

Lynnie i was so glad to see your bleeding was ok - i was checking up on you using my i-pod (but i cant post as its way too fiddly) and Karen , i'm happy you are doing so well!!!

I have been reading but not posting as i have a combination of pretty constant nausea and bathroom issues (having difficulty finding the balance between managing the constipation and overdosing on the colace, metamucil and peanut butter - going from one extreme to the other!!!!) but i am very grateful to have pregnancy issues to complain about!!! I go for my progesterone level check today and next u/s will be Fri 23rd - I know To Have Fun you thought it was this Fri as that was when it was orig planned, but as i had the early one they have pushed it back to the 23rd... you are so amazing for remembering

Babyhope, cant believe we might have yet another set of triplets on this thread - that will be 3 sets - unbelieveable...

Kas
- Now you bummed me out, I was hoping you could see your little ones again today. O'well, I guess I will have to just wait till next week. Hope you are staying warm. It is so cold!!!!! So I know a few months back you mentioned moving back to Florida in Feb. Is this still going to happen. I am sure you will love to be back in the south.

NY - Have you triggered yet? When will be your ER?

Hi all,

Well the re found even more follicels this am for a total of 22 with 15 over 15mm (i think he is double counting some has to be... but still good). The amazing things is 18 of them are on the right only 4 on the left..

So i trigger Sat eve for ER monday.. apparently when you have lots of follicles it sometimes takes longer.. but 20 makes me happy as if i have a 10% chance of a good one now i might have a chance at 2 being good and then if one sticks ...

now the waiting is killing me and poor DH hates this part.. oh well..

Ny4thtry - Congrats on your all your follies. I will be thinking about you and keeping my fingers crossed for you on Monday. I can't believe you have so many follies this time. That is awesome. Your DH should be an old pro at all of this now. My DH doesn't even really pay attention to the cycle. He just waits for me to tell him when he needs to have off work so we can do ER and he has to give his sample. He is such a guy. One of these days I might figure out why I love him so much. Good Luck!!!

NY Congrats on all those follies, its really great news.... In the past has one ovary been more active than the other???? I wonder what made the difference this time?? Either way glad you get to trigger - i'd like to say at least you can give the shots a rest for a few days, but i k now you will be still on the Lovenox....How are you getting on with that??? Are you bruising a lot??

To Have Fun Yes i am so cold... I am so not a snow person, i know a lot pf people love this weather but it's not for me!!! My teeth hurt when i go outside and open my mouth ( i know that must sound crazy but they do - keeps me quiet anyway!!!) As for moving back, we dont have a definite date yet, just waiting to hear.... I know i have to have this cervical stitch at 12 weeks, which will take us to mid Feb. After that's done and i'm released from the RE and off the PIO i will be so ready!!!!! How are those BCP's going??? How many more??? I know you start stims Feb!!

hi all,

kas..sorry to hear about the digestion issues..i haven't been constipated but i belch to a ridiculous level almost every night. grosses out my dh. but glad you've got a PG symptom! it is like a backwards-celebration

chris- are you getting excited as you get closer?

NY- i'm so excited about your growing follies and upcoming ER!!! as i've said before- i've got a very good feeling about this.

foreverlove- i've got the crazy dreams too. they seem to be subsiding though. apparently more active REM sleep is a pregnancy affect that's supposed to prepare us for being more 'awake' when we have a baby- i don't get this- we need to lose sleep in advance of having a baby???

hi jenn,detroit,wonder,lynnie,

so my next OB appt is more than 3 weeks away and i already know i can't wait til then to hear the h/b again. my spotting has stopped, but i'm worried that my body hasn't changed enough (paranoia). i wake up with swollen boobs, but it subsides, and i just want some concrete, obvious PG signs---like a BIG BELLY or boobs or SOMETHING. god- i'm never happy. my spotting is still gone which i'm so grateful for, but now i want more.

hope everyone is well. karen

babyhope1 - First of all congrats on all your exciting news!!! I was wondering what made you decide to try an IUI again instead of another IVF? I have been thinking about doing the same thing (if this FET cycle doesnt work) but kind of felt like that might be going backwards...but after seeing your outcome it gives me hope! My RE had said IUI/injectables may take a time or two to get the correct med dosage right, but I was impatient & only did one cycle before moving on to IVF.
Good Luck & Best Wishes!!

Kas

some bruising from the Lovenox..but not too bad.. its better in the upper thight than in the belly.. have you had bruising..

even with the lovenox it will be a break from shots... i have had 4 per day most days and some days 5 so one or two will feel like a breeze!!!

not looking forwadr to trigger though.. my RE has you do it in your arm and last time i couldnt lift it for 2 days.. i like ER because i love the feeling of alling asleep with the anesthesia.. oh the little things

Karen i have had amazingly vivid drems lately.. i think mine are from the steroid i am on..

I have only been giving the shots in my stomach so far and i am bruising quite a bit.... I rarely got a bruise from any stim shot so i dont think its my technique although i do find the needles much 'blunter' and harder to get into the skin.

I asked my nurse if i could inject anywhere else as i have run out of room and i am injecting into bruises sometimes (doesnt hurt though) and she said not to put it in the thigh as it is much more painful. However after reading that you do it i think i might give it a try tonight as i could use a new site and obviously you are finding it ok.... will let you know how it goes.

Good luck with that trigger. never heard of the arm before!!! Just shows how they are all so different....

hi ladies,

i'm feeling quite blue tonight. not quite sure why. i'm so glad my FIL is here to help finish our basement...but i do find company wearing after a while. but it hasn't even been a week! yikes. i was dying for some down time, then i easily felt bored today. i think i just feel like i'm in limbo overall in my life. i wish i could work on the soon-to-be baby room, but it's where my FIL is staying. i'm irritable, and like everyone else- i want more PG symptoms.

i think i should just feel grateful, but i'm still anxious. i got what i wanted- made it to the 2nd trimester, my spotting stopped, yet i'm still not feeling secure with this pregnancy. i frustrate myself.

i will have to try to get out of this funk.

well, on other topics, NY hope your arm is holding up after your trigger shot- i will be awaiting your next steps with excitement. glad everyone else seems like they're doing ok lately.

much love to all ,karen

Karen Sorry you are feeling a little down :( At least your FIL is going to help with the basement and then thats one less job out of the way!!! Just think, you want to get that messy, dusty job done BEFORE you start your baby room!!!

SO for now, go to the basement and make sure those boys are working hard!!! then start looking through catalogues, look at paint chips etc and start planing out your room... As sson as they are finished with that basement, set them to work upsatirs!!!! I hope you enjoy your project :D :D :D

NY OWWWW i did the shot in my thigh!!! I think i may have hit a blood vessel as i have a huge bruise and its not a round bruise but a long bruise, like its followinf the path of a vein. Its also a lumpy, so not good, but i have to say the needle went in without any feeling at all!!!! I think maybe i got unlucky this time and tonight i may try again in the thigh???

GOOD LUCK with your ER tomorrow and enjoy the sleep!!!!! Cant wait to see how many they got ......

Kas, those shots sound painful! I never gave any to myself anywhere but my stomach. I found it easier to grab a hunk of skin there than anywhere else. I still remember bruising quite a bit, but DH who is diabetic and gives himself shots all day long said I may have not been getting all the air out of the needle. He tried to help me but I guess I just bruised easy. How much longer do you have to do them?

Karen, sorry you're feeling blue. How long is your FIL staying with you? Maybe once he's gone, you can get going on that nursery. I'm curious, how did you come up with your decorating ideas? I'm overwhelmed by all of the different ideas online and in books. The colors, themes, accessories, etc.

NY4thtry, your shots are sounding painful too. I didn't realize you were doing so many each day! Best of luck tomorrow with your ER! I'm excited to see how many you get. About the dreams, I also had some crazy ones last night. I blame it on the huge bowl of ice cream I ate before bed. I dont' know why, ice cream always seems to affect my dreams.

Deestar, I'm also curious to see Babyhope's thoughts on IUI's again after IVF. I never had any luck either but her BFP makes it seem very possible. I did around 9 of them, so you may have much better luck after trying only once.

Babyhope, congratulations on your 3! Wow! What a wonderful blessing.

Chris, your DH sounds very supportive. How much longer with the BCP's?

Question, does anyone include your medical expenses each year on your taxes, like doctor visits, mileage, prescriptions, etc.?
